I sent a rep out to see if this issue was due to anything we didOur finding was that the leak was below the floorOur contract was to replace the toiletThe customer did not tell us that they had any plumbing issues when we took on the projectThe toilet that we installed was done correctly
There was no water coming from the wax ring, the toilet was not loose as the customer statedThe issue is below the floor, this was not part of our contractThis customer had tried to get free work from us from day one, even wrote me a bad check without offering to cover any bank feesThe ceiling damage was existing the water stains were yellow History should show that we are a good company, we have zero complaints, I sent my rep out to fix any issues that may have been caused due to our work, we found noneWhen the customer contacted me they also stated that they had some grout issues in the shower that I needed to repair, I had to remind them once again that we did not do any grout work on their jobAnother example of looking for free labor.Thanks,Ken WittFormer owner of New Century Remodeling

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowAll we asked was for a company lead or senior manager to come and verify what was later discovered by an independent plumber (a loose seated commode). Initially this project was delayed by three weeks due to this contractor not having enough qualified installers to do the jobI feel the person he sent to inspect the job was only interested in finding a way not to be responsible for the possible repair. I would have felt better if he did more than just look at bathroom floor for obvious water signs and then looked at the kitchen ceiling.

I ([redacted]) have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve our complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I'm sorry to say that this company continues to disappoint my family and I in putting forth any effort to resolve a plumbing leak that was caused by their own representative (even after we presented proof from another contractor and picture of the damaged pipe). Why would anyone waste this much time to perpetrate a falsehood is almost unbelievable if it weren't actually happening to us. Previous statements concerning a bounced check is being used to create a smoke screen to cover this company's less than adequate and unprofessional workmanship. In speaking for my Mother, She initially wrote a check from the wrong checking account and apologized. Once that was discovered, she offered to write another check from the correct account but this company chose to run the same check again which we then just transferred the correct amount in the account (that was it). Keep in mind-  all this was done in the first place (as a favor) to the company because they did not want to be charged a credit card fee (which is how we initially preferred to pay). It would seem that there are deeper issues worth considering for anyone to trust this company in doing any remodeling/repair work at their home or work. Hopefully, by going through all this it will help somebody else think twice before making this very costly mistake.Thank you,-[redacted]         and their most unprofessional behavior that I experienced in dealing with this issue  trying to resolve  should be noted and

First of all the project was not delayed because of our installers, it was delayed because the customer wrote us a bad check and we waited for the second to clear before starting the project.Second we did send a lead rep to look at the project, and our findings will stay the same. The customer contracted us to install a new toilet, the customer never mentioned that they had a existing plumbing issue which had caused the ceiling damage. When this customer called about the issue, we were onsite the next day. The customer expected us to replace the toilet flage and repair ceiling and repair damage grout in the shower which none of these items were listed on the contract. This is the second time we have answered this complaint. Have the customer submit the contract.We have never had a complaint against us and find this one a little dishonest.

As stated in my previous 3 response, there was no Plumbing repair in the contract. For more detail read my other responses and follow my zero complaint history. This customer wrote me a bad check, they did not offer to pay my bank fees, but didn't have a problem asking for a discount at end of job, or asking my crew to provide free labor.
