Hello Bradley,I've received a letter from you regarding a complaint sent by Theresa [redacted] , i'd like to share with you my side of the situation as requestedFirstly, Theresa did not hire me, she actually had no contact with me (aside from at the riding lessons) until after I decided to pursue personal goals and not continue to teach any lessons whatsoeverI agreed to give lessons to her daughter Kira after being contacted by Alexandria [redacted] , a personal friend from high school and Kira's stepmother, approached me and asked if I would be willing to do soI agreed and both Ali, her husband Josh and Theresa and her husband signed a liability release (which is standard when getting riding lessons.) There was absolutely no promise of any length of time for lessons, nor was there a promise for a regular schedule or any long term agreementThe lessons were given on a week to week basis with no contract at allI was not "hired" by Theresa, or anyone from the family for that matter Next, what Mrs [redacted] failed to mention was that on several of the occasions when lessons were cancelled, I was not the reason whyOne instance being Theresa forgot and was too late showing up, and another (which she referenced) Ali and I agreed it was too hot for both Kira and my horseMy horses are my priority, and their health in hot and humid weather can be an issue, would you want to carry someone around and exercise when it is degrees and percent humidity? Yes, I had a family issue, the barn was painted, and Kira's regular lesson horse sustained an injuryBut such is life, tragedies happen, animals get injured, and holding those things against me when I had no control over them is certainly not fairI gave plenty of notice to Ali that I wasn't able to accommodate them those days Finally, I gave my reasons for discontinuing lessons to Ali, because as I stated earlier, she was my primary contact person with whom I made all arrangements for lessons, cancellations etcAli said she understood, though they were definitely disappointed and she would speak to Mrs [redacted] about my decisionI even sent Kira a small gift and a letter telling her that it was absolutely not personal, and that she is a wonderful girl with a talent for ridingI have received multiple threatening text messages from Theresa stating that she is going to report me to the IRS, the Revdex.com and even the USEF (of which I am not even a member) as a bad business person and irresponsible adult.I'm very upset that Theresa has chosen to threaten me and bring this matter to you instead of speaking to me like an adult I have already sent a refund check to Ali for the lessons we missed, she has agreed to verify this for youI am not sure what more I can do to rectify this situationIt saddens me greatly to know that Mrs [redacted] will still undoubtedly speak ill of me to others, potentially harming my reputation if not my future businessIf you have any further questions I would be happy to answer them via email or phone, I am eager for this all to be resolved.Thank you for your time, I appreciate your assistanceTanya [redacted]

Hello Bradley,I've received a letter from you regarding a complaint sent by Theresa [redacted], i'd like to share with you my side of the situation as requested. Firstly, Theresa did not hire me, she actually had no contact with me (aside from at the riding lessons) until after I decided to pursue...

personal goals and not continue to teach any lessons whatsoever. I agreed to give lessons to her daughter Kira after being contacted by Alexandria [redacted], a personal friend from high school and Kira's stepmother, approached me and asked if I would be willing to do so. I agreed and both Ali, her husband Josh and Theresa and her husband signed a liability release (which is standard when getting riding lessons.).  There was absolutely no promise of any length of time for lessons, nor was there a promise for a regular schedule or any long term agreement. The lessons were given on a week to week basis with no contract at all. I was not "hired" by Theresa, or anyone from the family for that matter.  Next, what Mrs. [redacted] failed to mention was that on several of the occasions when lessons were cancelled, I was not the reason why. One instance being Theresa forgot and was too late showing up, and another (which she referenced) Ali and I agreed it was too hot for both Kira and my horse. My horses are my priority, and their health in hot and humid weather can be an issue, would you want to carry someone around and exercise when it is 95 degrees and 80 percent humidity? Yes, I had a family issue, the barn was painted, and Kira's regular lesson horse sustained an injury. But such is life, tragedies happen, animals get injured, and holding those things against me when I had no control over them is certainly not fair. I gave plenty of notice to Ali that I wasn't able to accommodate them those days.  Finally, I gave my reasons for discontinuing lessons to Ali, because as I stated earlier, she was my primary contact person with whom I made all arrangements for lessons, cancellations etc. Ali said she understood, though they were definitely disappointed and she would speak to Mrs. [redacted] about my decision. I even sent Kira a small gift and a letter telling her that it was absolutely not personal, and that she is a wonderful girl with a talent for riding. I have received multiple threatening text messages from Theresa stating that she is going to report me to the IRS, the Revdex.com and even the USEF (of which I am not even a member) as a bad business person and irresponsible adult.I'm very upset that Theresa has chosen to threaten me and bring this matter to you instead of speaking to me like an adult.  I have already sent a refund check to Ali for the lessons we missed, she has agreed to verify this for you. I am not sure what more I can do to rectify this situation. It saddens me greatly to know that Mrs. [redacted] will still undoubtedly speak ill of me to others, potentially harming my reputation if not my future business. If you have any further questions I would be happy to answer them via email or phone, I am eager for this all to be resolved.Thank you for your time, I appreciate your assistance. Tanya [redacted]
