So let me take this in three items listed in the complaint.1) Camera Cable This has been reported to my General Liability insurance and is being processed to replace / repair the camera2) Blackmail for additional work I have in no way engaged in blackmailThe additional work is due to
the customer being in the process of remodeling his home, and him asking me to quote the extra workThese requests were even during our patio and brick projectsIf he was not satisfied with my performance, why the request to do additional workI have electronic communication that verifies the additional quote requests. There are numerous projects the customer has in work and he requested me to bid on some of these other projectsI did submit bids for these projectsMy only communication was to ask if the bids were acceptable, could I do that work while other contracted work was going onThe additional work was solicited to me from the customerI was simply looking request approval to do these other projects while I had labor onsiteTo state this as blackmail is completely absurd, incorrect, and I have electronic communication to back up my statement.3) Brick Work I will complete the work for the disputed amount of $2,I will need to have a portion of this amount paid upfrontI never asked for more money beyond the contract amountI have electronic communication that shows specifically that all I wanted was a small draw to cover additional material costs, which was refused by the customerI specifically stated that I did not want an increase to the contract amountWhen this was refused, I became cautious that I was even going to be paid at completion, and pulled my workers off the project I have never had a complaint before this one, and I am fully willing to resolve this with assurances from both myself and customer that work and financials will be fully executed

I am in contact with Mr. [redacted]'s insurance company and they have stated that they have tried contacting him many times and he has not responded to their requests regarding the insurance claim that I had to file against his insurance policy.   Mr [redacted] also stated over 6 weeks ago that he had filed a claim with his insurance for reimbursement to me for the damaged camera but he never followed up and I have never seen any reimbursement.  Mr [redacted] stated in emails and text messages, which I have and can provide, that unless we hired him to do more work, he would not be completing the brick work.  Also, he had stated several times that the brick people would be back to complete the work and when they finally showed up after I agreed to give him an additional $300 for materials, Mr. [redacted] promised he would arrive with the materials the next day and he never showed up.  At that point he said he wouldn't be working on the project anymore unless I gave him more money and more work.  If that's not blackmail, what is??Mr [redacted] says "all he wanted was a small draw to cover expenses".  Our contract was iron clad and had absolutely no misunderstanding that the amount we were to pay him was a FLAT FEE and ALL INCLUSIVE outside of the brick itself.   Regardless, I paid him an additional $700 or so for additional expenses, and he STILL asked for additional money.   I've attached the agreement we had and you will see he violated MANY of the terms of the agreement including asking for more money than agreed to before completion, timely completion, quality of work, and many others as you will see.I have already had the brick completed by someone else after waiting over a month I had to have it finished.  Therefore offering NOW AT THIS POINT to finish the brick does nothing for me.  He was paid for doing work he did not finish and I want $1000 returned to me for the amounts I had to pay over and above what brick was actually completed versus his bid and the cost for the remainder to be bricked, damages to the cornice that will have to be repaired, the damage to the lawn his subs made, and the replacement of the camera.   Alternatively, Mr. [redacted] can fix the cornice board, replace the camera, and pay for new sod in the areas his brick people destroyed (including any and all materials costs) and pay out $500 to me for the camera replacement.  Those are the two options I will be satisfied by.
