Mr [redacted] had us pick up his tractor on August 9th, asking us to help make his tractor runAt this time, we were telling customers that we were 2-weeks out before getting to look at the tractors and diagnose issuesMr [redacted] agreed to those terms at the time of pion his tractorHe called numerous times within the first week complaining that we had yet to look at his tractor and was told by our shop manager that we would get to it as quick as possibleWhen the tractor was picked up the wiring job that was done on the tractor was not up to par and had already been messed withHe also gave us parts that he picked up himself including a gas tank, battery, carburetor, and a governorThe governor that he gave to us was not the one that fit his tractor so he had us order the correct governor for him and place it on the tractorAfter quite a few calls within the first week we finally pushed his tractor up in line so that we could get him taken care ofDuring the time of diagnosis on the tractor there were numerous problems, many of which we fixed without charge to the customerWe installed the new governor, battery, carburetor, and gas tank which all added up to hours of labor in the tractorThe hours does not include the $charge of pick up or the $charge of delivery to the customerWe completed and received payment on August 24th, which shows all work was done within days of the tractor making it in to our shopWe do have an $85.00/hour diagnosis fee that we charge all customers to look at equipment that is not within its warranty date which is normally added into the total but wasn’t in this caseTherefore, total hours that should have been charged to this customer should have been hours of labor ($85.00/hr), $pick-up/delivery, and the correct governor that the customer asked us to order for him because it was needed on the tractorOur total bill should have tallied out $893.87, but he was only charged $because of the fact we could not get the tractor to run after everything we were asked to put on the tractor by Mr***We do have documentation of the pidate and payment date for Mr [redacted] if that is neededThe documentation also shows our mechanics labor and equipment trucking fee

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: They failed to mention shortly after that my tractor was put off due to them saying the one who is familiar with my make of tractor is now taken leave due to sick wifeSo they would find someone in the shop to work on itThat is the reason I periodically called to follow up, not to complain as they statedThere was never a issue with the wiring on the tractor even prior to taking it in to be serviced at their shop I had called them to be sure to connect the wires that were cutThe wires to the headlights and to the coilI was told by the service manager that his tech swore up and down that I never gave them any keysWhich in fact, the day that they picked up the tractor, I handed the technician picking up the tractor the keysThat was the reason that they cut the wires to splice it into the light switch to stimulate the coilStrangely enough they had the keys that they swore that I never gave them and happened to of found the keys when they delivered the tractor to my propertyI ordered the governor based off the part number that was give to me by ***at their shopWhy would you need a governor for an engine that is not running? An engine governor is only in demand once the engine is running and under a loadSo why was I sold a governor and they installed one if the engine is not running? That part is irrelevant to make an engine startAlso, all the parts that I brought were requested by their shopThey did not push my tractor up the line as they statedThe tech that was on leave had returned to work, which they failed to mentionThe gentleman who came out to my property was able to diagnose and find one dead cylinder He was able to correct the reason why it was deadIt was due to a stuck valveIf they would have done a compression test like they told me they didThey would of been able to of found this problem Regards, [redacted] ***

The owner [redacted] is being untruthful and only trying to make light of the situation. The company only responded that parts were on back order after I showed up at the location in person after numerous phone calls to the business. I was told a few times to call back at a later time because they were unable to locate the ticket. I also had a friend stop by to check the status of the repair. He was advised by the front desk person that there was no ticket on it handed to him so that it must nor be ready yet. The company never reach out to me in any way on the delays. I was having to do all the calling and was still not getting a direct answer from anybody. This company had worked on my ATV before. At that time I asked if my ATV would be secured inside the business during closed hours. I was reassured that it would be. I expected this service request would be no different. During week 6 of their possession of my ATV, I was informed that it was Stolen from their location. I was told by their manager that they had left the ATV outside the business during closed hours. I would have never left my ATV there for repair if I knew the company would not secure the customers equipment properly) I was also told by the manager that the ignition had been removed from the ATV by the suspects when it was stolen. The police investigator advised that that was not mentioned in the theft report by the business and if it was they would have recovered it as evidence in the theft. The business reported to the police that a barbed wire fence had been cut behind where they had parked my ATV and that the ATV had been rolled out. The company failed to secure their property completely with a pipe fence to keep this from happening. They have had multiple ATV thefts at this location and have since completed a pipe fence around the rest of their property to keep this from happening again. They are liable and they know it. I told the owner [redacted] that there were conflicting information on the police report Vs what the manager had told me. I told [redacted] that I believed that my key had been left in my ATV and that was possible one of the reasons it was stolen. I requested to see my key and the ignition as proof. He told me that the ignition hadn't been removed and that I could not see my key or have any of my items back. He told me that the items now belonged to him. (But yet he has not paid me anything for my loss) Sounds like he is stealing again from me when he refuses to give my property back to me. My ATV was also equipped with compartments and storage bags that contained about $800 worth of personal items. The fair market value for the ATV is not $2500 but $3000. The company even valued my ATV at $3000. on the police report.I run my own business and needed the ATV for that business. [redacted] never called me one time after the theft to make things right. Again it was me contacting him trying to resolve it and he continued with excuses and advised that he would look into it. He did tell me that he would Pay me $2500 or that amount towards a new ATV with his company. I told him that I could not afford a new machine and I tried to settle with him for $3300 which was very reasonable and I would be taken a big loss at that. Later, I contacted him again to try and settle for the $3300 because I had already purchased a replacement ATV through someone else. He then told me that I would no receive any money at all from him only store credit from his business.  (which means he is totally putting the loss on the customer) He would still be making money off of me if I were to purchase an ATV through his company. The replacement cost to the ATV is $4500 anywhere you look and the owner [redacted] knows that but is refusing to except liability. Is this really a good way to run a business? Surely he has Insurance for theft, burglary, fire, acts of God (weather), ect. What keeps an employee with this company from arranging to have customers ATV's stolen, then making and forcing the customer to purchase new ATV through their company so that they may profit even more?   His business practices are not acceptable !!!!      Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  They failed to mention shortly after that my tractor was put off due to them saying the one who is familiar with my make of tractor is now taken leave due to sick wife. So they would find someone in the shop to work on it. That is the reason I periodically called to follow up, not to complain as they stated. There was never a issue with the wiring on the tractor even prior to taking it in to be serviced at their shop.  I had called them to be sure to connect the wires that were cut. The wires to the headlights and to the coil. I was told by the service manager that his tech swore up and down that I never gave them any keys. Which in fact, the day that they picked up the tractor, I handed the technician picking up the tractor the keys. That was the reason that they cut the wires to splice it into the light switch to stimulate the coil. Strangely enough they had the keys that they swore that I never gave them and happened to of found the keys when they delivered the tractor to my property. I ordered the governor based off the part number that was give to me by [redacted]. at their shop. Why would you need a governor for an engine that is not running? An engine governor is only in demand once the engine is running and under a load. So why was I sold a governor and they installed one if the engine is not running? That part is irrelevant to make an engine start. Also, all the parts that I brought were requested by their shop. They did not push my tractor up the line as they stated. The tech that was on leave had returned to work, which they failed to mention. The gentleman who came out to my property was able to diagnose and find one dead cylinder.  He was able to correct the reason why it was dead. It was due to a stuck valve. If they would have done a compression test like they told me they did. They would of been able to of found this problem.

Mr. [redacted] had us pick up his tractor on August 9th, 2017 asking us to help make his tractor run. At this time, we were telling customers that we were 2-3 weeks out before getting to look at the tractors and diagnose issues. Mr. [redacted] agreed to those terms at the time of pick-up on his...

tractor. He called numerous times within the first week complaining that we had yet to look at his tractor and was told by our shop manager that we would get to it as quick as possible. When the tractor was picked up the wiring job that was done on the tractor was not up to par and had already been messed with. He also gave us parts that he picked up himself including a gas tank, battery, carburetor, and a governor. The governor that he gave to us was not the one that fit his tractor so he had us order the correct governor for him and place it on the tractor. After quite a few calls within the first week we finally pushed his tractor up in line so that we could get him taken care of. During the time of diagnosis on the tractor there were numerous problems, many of which we fixed without charge to the customer. We installed the new governor, battery, carburetor, and gas tank which all added up to 6.5 hours of labor in the tractor. The 6.5 hours does not include the $85.00 charge of pick up or the $85.00 charge of delivery to the customer. We completed and received payment on August 24th, 2017 which shows all work was done within 15 days of the tractor making it in to our shop. We do have an $85.00/hour diagnosis fee that we charge all customers to look at equipment that is not within its warranty date which is normally added into the total but wasn’t in this case. Therefore, total hours that should have been charged to this customer should have been 6.5 hours of labor ($85.00/hr), $170.00 pick-up/delivery, and the correct governor that the customer asked us to order for him because it was needed on the tractor. Our total bill should have tallied out $893.87, but he was only charged $383.87 because of the fact we could not get the tractor to run after everything we were asked to put on the tractor by Mr. [redacted]. We do have documentation of the pick-up date and payment date for Mr. [redacted] if that is needed. The documentation also shows our mechanics labor and equipment trucking fee.
