Dear [redacted]
In response to the complaint you...
informed us about on March 31st. [redacted] complained about roof leaks but roof repairs were not included in our scope of work in our contract with the seller. We repaired the flashing but the leak was not from the flashing. The roof had been installed by another contractor 18 months prior to the sale and the warranty had expired. We went beyond our contract scope and spent over $350 of our own funds attempting to rectify the problem by removing and replacing 15 shingles but apparently that did not fix the problem.
We will be unable to do more repairs on a roof that was not in our contract to repair.
Thank you,
[redacted]
