Stay far away from this company Horrible customer service and they low ball claim payouts They provide no status on claims unless you call them multiple times The only way I knew what was going on with a claim on a broken dishwasher is when I called over times over the period of two weeks about what should have been a very easy replacement of my dishwasher They only offered a white replacement dishwasher (kitchen is all stainless) that had no where near the functions of my old dishwasher The Case Management department was rude and basically said if you don't like the replacement we offered you can take a cash payment which was only half the value of a new dishwasher (w/ installation) So basically I was forced to either accept a much inferior dishwasher that did not match my kitchen or accept a low ball cash payment There was absolutely no attempt by Case Management to work with me on any other options In the end I will have to spend several hundred dollars out of my own pocket to get the equivalent dishwasher and install it myself If you are dead set on getting a home warranty I would absolutely avoid this company

Long and Foster Home Warranty has been difficult to deal with I have filed three claims in regards to appliances, plumbing, and HVAC The service is touted by agents as top notch, however all issues have been identified as not covered I have suspicions that they are colluding with local contractors to bilk customers out of money

We bought this "Warranty" when we bought a used home months ago.The only reason we truly purchased the Warranty was due to a very old washer and dryer
Unfortunately the refrigerator wentIt began freezing contents in the refrigerator portionWe called, countless times, and a serviceman was dispatchedEach time he came, the problem temporarily was resolved
However the fifth (Yes, FIFTH) time, the "fix" ended up freez8ng everything in my refrigerator: milk, juice, food...everything! We have two young kids and we have had to eat out every day for going on days nowI believe I'll have to file a claim with my homeowners in order to get financial resolution for everything ruinedTo make a long story short, we thought we would have proved this issue was worth a new refrigerator, but the warranty company is now reassigning the problem to a new technician
I am thinking the clock has just reset, which does not make us happy customersThe representatives are nice, but the answers are all scripted and they continue to say they are "making notes"PreposterousI have never written a review, good or bad
But these folks should really focus on customer service to those buying this warranty.Beyond disappointed
