Review: I was hospitalized in April 2013, Since July **, 2014 I have been asking this hospital for a copy of my medical record showing the diagnosis. I Already have visited the hospital on two occasions and the documents provided to me do not show the medical diagnosis. I called and personally spoke to a Lady called [redacted] Ph# number [redacted] Lady, She ask me to send the request in writing via fax which I did but never got the documents. I then send the request a few weeks later and nothing happened. In October I fax a document requesting my copies and nothing happened. The same happened in November and December as of today Dec [redacted] 2013 I have not received copy of my medical record. All Im asking is for them to fax it to ###-###-####. . I understand that I have no medical insurance to pay the cost of medical services, but that should not give this institution the right to forbid me from getting a copy of my records. I find this to be an abuse of power by this institutionDesired Settlement: All I need is copy of my medical records SHOWING the diagnosis they can fax to ###-###-####, email it to [redacted] or mail it to [redacted] which ever is FASTER waiting 6 months for copy of my medical records is ridiculous and not only that it can be prejudicial to my health.

At this time, I have not been contacted by Long Island Jewish Medical Center regarding complaint ID [redacted]. And I really need a copy of my medical records this is unbelievable . What else can I do to get that copy I need help from somebody.... PLEASE!

Review: Have tried to resolve a billing amount issue that was paid via my [redacted] Card on Monday, January **, 2015 in the amount of $363.12. I have called the LIJ billing department numerous times and have not been able to connect to a real person. Messages were left but no return calls. I have now received a threatening letter from the Collection Attorneys and have been calling them for a week with no luck. They are threatening to report me to the various credit departments and this is very concerning to me as I have a credit score of over 800. I need help getting this matter resolved.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a final bill from this hospital from May 2014 stating a "0" balance as I have to fight for every bill that I paid to them

I received a verbal telephone response from this business for complaint ID [redacted], but I would have preferred a written response to the compliant in case they ever come back again.Since I don't seem to have any other choice, I am accepting the telephone verbal response that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.Thanks for your help and let's hope is completed.

Review: My daughter was treated at the facility for something that was fully covered by my insurance. The facility, however, incorrectly submitted the claim so they were not paid. I spoke to LIJ billing and told them to resubmit the bill correctly to be reimbursed. They said they would. I continued to get bills and calls from LIJ and was told by my insurance that they never correctly submitted the claim. I then, had a lengthy conference call with LIJ billing and my insurance where it was made clear that I was 100% not responsible for the bill. I was asked to fax the information to LIJ billing, which I did and they would resubmit the claim. I followed up a few days later and was told it was being taken care of. I was reassured that it would not go to collections but I received a collection notice, yesterday. I am NOT responsible for this bill!Desired Settlement: Please contact collection agency and tell them I do not owe this bill. Also, please send me a bill that shows $0 balance and make any correcions to my credit report if they have been affected by the bill going to a collection agency.
