In Response to *** ***' complaint on behalf of Long Island Nail and Skin Care Institute , the Laser Machine at the school was in fact not working therefore the school was forced to attempt to fix and then exchange the machine which resulted in a lapse in service beyond our controlWe did
explain this unusual circumstance and attempted to offer alternative spa services in the interimOnce the request for refund was made the school followed procedure in obtaining directors approval and issued a refund check in the amount of $( see attached photo)We spoke to ** *** to confirm she received this and offered her a complimentary spa service for her trouble

Review: I bought a contract for six laser treatments on march [redacted] 2014. The first treatment did not work as the machine was broken. Everytime I made an appointment to have the treatment, I was told that the machine is still broken. I called again and was told that the new machine was in, but that noone knew how to work the machine. I then asked for my money back. I was told to try back in another month which I did. I spoke to [redacted] approximately 12 times since May 2014.

Each time I ask for my money back, she tells me the accountant is only in on Thursdays and she will cut me a check. To date, I have not received my check. This is going on 9 months now and they refuse to write me a refund check.Desired Settlement: I want my money returned to me ASAP. nine months is ridiculous.

Review: TOOK TWO CLASSES AT NAIL AND SKIN INSTITUTE - AFTER SEVERAL DELAYS FINALLY FINISHED AIRBRUSH TANNING AND EYELASH CLASS. NEVER RECEIVED CERTIFICATES AND LOST A PENDING JOB DUE TO NOT RECEIVING MY CERTIFICATES VIA MAIL, IN PERSON. TEXTED ADMIN SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS TOLD EACH TIME IT WOULD BE COMPLETED. DUE TO THIS AND PAYING $900 FOR TWO CLASSES I UNABLE TO MAKE THAT MONEY BACK AS A FREELANCE SKIN FINISHING ARTIST

WHEN CLASSES FINALLY PROCEEDED, HAD TO CHANGE ROOMS DUE TO OVER BOOKING. CLASSES STARTED LATE AND ENDED EARLY. EDUCATION WAS PROMISED.
