Review: I brought my pool water to be tested at Long Island Pool and Patio. I was told my pool was unbalanced and "acidic" and that I needed a large amount of chemicals to balance the pool. I was given $125 worth of chemicals and a print out with directions on how to administer them. I followed the directions exactly as explained and the next day my pool, which was previously crystal clear, had turned a dark green and my stairs which were previously white, had turned orange. I brought another water sample to another pool store, after having spoken to someone and was told maybe there were metals in the water. After having the water tested at another pool store, I was told there were no metals in my water and that the chemicals I was given from Long Island Pool and Patio must have caused the pool to turn green and stain my steps. I called Long Island Pool and Patio to advise them of the issue and was told by the Manager, that he would contact the maker of the chemicals and get back to me. I never received a call back. I called five days later and was told by the Manager that he had contacted the company and that there must have been metals in my water. When I had my water tested by them initially, no metals were found in my water. I was given a unsatisfactory explanation and was told there was nothing they could do. How they responded to this issue was unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded for the chemicals I purchased from them, that did absolutely nothing but cause my pool to turn green and stain my steps orange.
