November 16th, 2015 [redacted] RevDex.com [redacted] **In regards to the complaint ID # [redacted] , the external repairs have been completed and all water infiltration has been resolved. The interior repairs should be completed by the end of this coming... weekend, November 20th-22nd. We had been making numerous attempts to fix the issue sooner but had great difficulty in locating quality roofing contractors.The enclosed letter is from the first roofing contractor that we have found to be fair, reliable, and highly skilled. As such his services are much sought after but he got to us as soon as was possible.In addition the tenant who filed the complaint has not paid his rent on time in the last 18 months. Due to the fact that in most other ways he had been a good tenant, he has been forgiven late fees in excess of $700 over that time frame.Should you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at your convenience. Review: Back in June of 2015 we, myself and roommates, noticed that there was some damage to our roof after a bad storm. There was apparently a leak that had started and was dripping from the inside wall of my bedroom in the attic that had caused a hole in my roommates ceiling in the room below mine, where water was dripping as well. We called our property manager and were told that it would be taken care of as other properties had damage as well. Months went by and each time it would rain, the roof would leak and drip from the hole in my roommate's bedroom. Each time we called about the situation, we were told that someone would come to look at it, but no one has yet to my knowledge. In the beginning of October, I noticed that there were water marks appearing on my ceiling in the attic, and water was dripping from one of them. The paint on the one wall of my bedroom was bubbling and I realized that water was getting in there from the roof as well as the floor in that corner being soaked and mold had begun to grow on the walls near and around the floor and wall. This was how the water had reached my roommates room and caused the hole and drip. I called my property manager about this and he never got back to me. We have sent letters certified mail asking for repairs to be made as well. As of today nothing has been done to fix the roof, the walls and ceiling of my roommates room, nor the mold.Desired Settlement: All we are asking is that the repairs be made to the roof and the ceiling, as well as get the mold taken care of as well as I do not want to risk getting sick cleaning it myself. We also think it would be fair to have some money taken off our monthly rent for having to deal with this issue for so long.
