bMr***'s mechanic after opened engine and then said needed more work and told us it would be
cTotal bill came in at almost 2800.00, see attached, which was for a power steering reservoir and water pump not authorized but to keep a client happy we paid
After the work was done by Mr***'s mechanic and was paid by us, Mr*** called and said when they ordered the water pump it did not fitTherefore it must be an older engine and he wanted to know the mileageWas very upset because we did not tell him about the replacement even if it was not proven it was not original and if in fact it was replaced we did now know about it
aI did have a dealer pull an Auto Check, Carfax competitor, and does not state any engine replacementI did tell Mr*** that info because he felt it would show on the report
bLong's Auto Place, Inchad no knowledge of an engine replacement
cMr***'s own mechanic looked at the vehicle many times and never told us that the engine was replaced
We called Roseville Chrysler and talked to *** in the parts departmentHere is what he said:
aThe build date on the vehicle Mr*** was April 11, even though the model year is
bChrysler changed the engine in February 5, But there were some vehicle even after that date received the pre February 5, engine
cAccording to ***, there is no way to tell which engine was in the vehicle that Mr*** has purchased
dThere was a change in water pumps but not able to tell which one it will fit
Our position is that we do not know if there was even an engine replacement in its lifeEven if there was we did not know about itAuto Check does not show an engine replacementThere was a head gasket issue and we did pay his mechanic to repair and he is happy with the performanceI am sorry, as I told him on the phone, how he feels but we feel we took care of the client very well but unable to verify or find out anything else on the engineLong's Auto Place, Incsold the vehicle in good faith, repaired the vehicle in good faithThe vehicle has actual mileage as was sold and purchased
Engaged Long Auto Place Incto negotiate and obtain a new vehicle for me from Subaru They negotiated and got me a 10% discount from the dealer with all the specs that I had identified The vehicle arrived at their lot I took care of all the paperwork with them either over the phone and on the day I picked up my car Easy peasy! They also purchased my 'old' vehicle at a reasonable and acceptable priceMy husband had done the same thing with them only a couple years agoWe have been highly satisfied with this business and would recommend (without any hesitation)!!!
I bought a year Ultima from *** sometimes in January and the customer service that I received was first class! I was contacted advising exactly what was going to be replaced and repaired and a completion date for when the work would be completed before picking up the carI received the car the next day in an excellent conditionThe paperwork was completed in a professional way and everything was explained to me thoroughlyI would certainly recommend this center if you want a professional service, a good vehicle and a job well doneKeep up the good job that you do ***!
