Longhorn Motorsports Reviews (2)

My name is *** *** with Longhorn Motorsports in Cleburne TexasI am the owner of Longhorn Motorsports since our opening in November I am a small used car dealership in Cleburne Texas that offers quality used vehicles to clients in the ***son County and surrounding area'sWe sell
approximately between and vehicles per year with a full disclosure policy on vehicles offered at our dealership We are a member of the Revdex.com and have been since shortly opening in We are a Carfax Certified Dealer that offers full reports on every vehicle we offer for sale.Longhorn Motorsports has Dealer/ Finance licenses and bond's required to do business in the State of TexasWe specialize in offering vehicle's to people with less than perfect credit to rebuild and/or establish a positive credit rating with all three credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and Transunion) on there vehicle purchaseWe arrange financing for our client's with National Lenders that offer rates as low as 2.39% to Rates as High as 24.99% based on the client's Credit Rating, Vehicle, Loan Amount, Down Payment, and Term. We make available every effort for a client to inspect a vehicle, test drive a vehicle, take a vehicle overnight, Have it checked by a mechanic of their choosing before any sale is completeWe then offer extended warranties during the sale's process for any unforeseen things that happens to vehicle's during the client's ownership. Longhorn Motorsports sells all vehicles AS-IS/ Wheduring the sales processThe only exception of this policy would be a "WE OWE" form that is filled out and addressed during the sale processThis is often minor items such as (Fixing something that the client did not like about the vehicle, Touch up paint, Tinted window's, Window Regulator's, EctThese item's are common Examples of a WE OWE form). On June 30, Longhorn Motorsports sold a Volkswagen Beetle Convertible with only 86,miles to *** *** and her mom *** *** is a young lady who has never had any credit and was shopping for a vehicle to get back and forth to work locally here in CleburneShe just started working at a local nursing home and *** had zero credit being so young and short time on her jobFortunately her mom *** *** was able and willing to help *** purchase a her vehicle and get the financing they qualified for through a National lender at the time of their purchase. The Volkswagen Beetle Convertible was a trafrom a New Car Store that had a perfect One-Owner Carfax Report with Zero Accidents, Zero Body Damage, Zero Mechanical issue's other than the Passenger Window Regulator that rolls the window up and down when she uses her convertible optionWe recognized this during the sales process and addressed it with the proper "We Owe" form and stated that we would fix the Window Regulator at our expenseWhich we did from a local mechanic shop here in Cleburne, TexasI even supplied a vehicle during the repair for *** to get back and forth to work so she would not be inconvenienced while it was in the shop . That was the last I have heard anything from either *** or *** until recently on November 11, when *** called me at the office to ask me if I had an extra key to their vehicleI stated That did not have any extra keys and then I asked why? She stated that the car would not startI asked if the battery was deadShe stated that she did not knowI then asked if the starter or fuses was badShe stated she did not knowI then told her about experiences from prior vehicle's about the security systems settings that keep a vehicle from starting and then I gave her a phone number to a local Locksmith that specializes in programming security systems to make sure that was not the issueI am and always helpful to all clients about their vehicle and car ownership.Key word is Ownership! *** *** and *** *** are the owners of their Volkswagen Beetle ConvertibleWe offered *** and *** an extended warranty option however they were limited due to the down payment requirement to purchase this optionOther than the window regulator needing to be fixed ,they did not see any reason for it at the time of purchaseThey decided to proceed with the purchase of the vehicle after full disclosure of the vehicle and after driving the car for several days before signing all their paperwork and bank contracts The Purchase order along with the other State paperwork they signed is attached to this complaint. The purchase was / Wheas all sales are.I wish I had a Crystal Ball to see the future to months ahead of timeI do have a talented mechanic shop that can fix their car at a fraction of the cost they stated on this complaintAt their expense of courseI would and will extend any advise I can for themI truly believe that if the computer or whatever has caused their car no to start several days ago in November, we would not even be addressing this complaint.Longhorn Motorsports hope this reconciles any future complaints on this matterWe are full disclosure and offer any help to our clients*** and *** are more than welcome to look at the option of trading in their vehicle if they wantWe would have to account for the use and abuse, mileage, breakage, and current market conditions versus what is owed to their lenderThis is why they are demanding full refund with no negative equityHard to traa vehicle that does not run after you break itWish I could have addressed this in person instead over the Revdex.com website, but to each their ownSome people don't want to look you in the face months after their purchase and demand a full refund after something breaks

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The 2008 VOLKSWAGEN was purchased in July 2016 by my daughter with me the cosign ER.The We Owe You sheet stating the window would be fixed has not been honored.  [redacted] gave my daughter a vehicle to drive while the window was supposedly being repaired.  My daughter picked the car up and the next day the window was back down.  I called Longhorn and was informed [redacted] would call my daughter regarding the window.  No phone call was received therefore I contacted Longhorn again and was told I needed to take the car to [redacted], since this is who they paid to fix it. We have no idea who or where [redacted] was, but I was aggravated as it shouldn't take well over a month to fix the window.   Since we could not rely on Longhorn to properly repair the window and had no idea who [redacted] was, I took the car and paid for the window to be repaired at Goodyear, in Cleburne, TX.  Goodyear informed me the reason the window was not fixed properly was due to the wrong part being ordered.  Longhorn ordered the part to fix the window, so had we taken the car back to [redacted] it still would not have been fixed correctly.  The cost to repair the window (properly) was )365 plus $75 for labor.   As far as the VW now not running, this occurred in November.  Upon speaking with Longhorn prior to taking it anywhere I was informed they were unaware of the car having issues and maybe it was the battery.  I personally purchased the battery and this was still not the issue.  The car was then towed to Goodyear, for repairs.   Goodyear requested that I contact [redacted] to see if he had the original key, by chance.   This is when he told me to contact a locksmith, that I assume he uses.  I do not feel comfortable taking the vehicle to another one of his referrals or having them work on it.  As of today the car is still in the shop being repaired.  Goodyear towed it to VW after they attempted to get it to work by reprogramming the computer.  VW stated the vehicle needs a new instrument cluster as well as the computer in order for the car to run again.  I would be more than happy to provide the receipts and explanation as to why the car did this.    We are now out appox. $2000 for a vehicle my daughter has only been able to drive for a small amount of time, during the 4 months she has had it, due to one issue or another.  The car has not been in our possession long enough for all of these issues to be occurring.  I would not report anything to this sort unless there was good cause.  She has had to drive around with a broken window since she bought the car until I had the window fix.  This means every time it rained, it had to be covered with a trash bag -  I am sure water still got inside the vehicle & it wouldn't surprise me if the issue with the computer or instrument cluster was due to the broken window/weather.  It's a horrible deal for a first time car buyer to have all these issues within 3 months of buying a car.  I understand the vehicle was sold "as is" but I also believe this is a case of bad business. If we would have had the vehicle for at least 6 months, before there was ever any type of issue, then there would be no reason for this. But having a car less than 6 months that has had an issue every since purchased, and now an even bigger issue, is not good.  It is bad business to state you will repair something but then take weeks for the repair to happen but yet it is still not fixed until the purchaser takes the vehicle to repair it on there own.  We are fair people but taking advantage of a young adult is not right and makes for a horrible experience. Like I stated above I will be more than happy to forward a copy of all of the repair bills on this vehicle, perhaps Longhorn will then understand why the complaint has been filed to begin with.Thank you,
