e-mail received on or about April 4, 2016 concerning an issue reported in reference to your garage. Per your e-mail and the notes in our system you requested that they clean the walls of an area in the garage as identified on your M/I Inventory & Condition form. When the assigned cleaning team arrived it was reported that you did not feel the job was done to your satisfaction and requested that they wash down the entire garage to which the cleaning team advised you that the type of cleaning requested would require more than a simple clean, the garage be completely empty, advised the possibility of mildew if not allowed to dry completely and advised they would report it to the office as they were unable to make that decision. Upon your next visit to the office on or about April 1, 2016 a request was made to paint the garage and it was then communicated that painting the garage is not normal procedure as it is not considered “living space”. While it is our goal to be as accommodating as possible within given limits, the information provided was correct in that the garage is not “living space” and not an area that is normally painted. We can request ESTIMATES to paint the garage, forward them to the property owner for review and / or approval and notify you of the decision. Please give us a few weeks to gather and distribute the ESTIMATES. If you would prefer an action sooner, we can power wash down the garage walls completely, however, please understand the staff will not be able to move or touch any personal items in the garage and the garage door will need to remain up and open for a minimum of 24-48 hours to ensure it is completely dry and there is no mildew as there must be adequate ventilation.
