It was a pleasure having Longley do our kitchen, masterbath, guest bath and laundry room remodel. We quoted four companies as comparably as we could and did our due diligence in selecting what we hoped would be the best. We were not let down with our choice! We chose the Mouser Centra wood cabinets with blum hinges/slides in Divinity White (looks great in Florida) and Cambria quartz counter tops (Berkley). We did the kitchen and masterbath first before signing up to do the guest bath and laundry rooms so that we could check out the work. We immediately added the other two rooms after seeing the quality of work (Melissa L. managed to get the other rooms added to our original order, so we were able to start work without the usual 6 week leadtime for the particular cabinets we chose). We were quite impressed with the work ethic of Longley. From Melissa taking all the details and coming up with additional good ideas for us in the process and compiling a few quotes as we changed our minds on various options, to Chris L. coming out for precise measurements and also offering us suggestions on things we had not thought of, the remodel was made even better than we had imagined it would be. Since we did not want to do any work or do any hiring of plumbers or electricians, they did it all (but if you want to do that yourself you can). The scheduling was handled very well and we could always get a hold of Melissa or Chris if we needed to. They were fast and efficient with the tear out and did a good job of getting the new cabinets up our stairs and into place without issue. Ed and Anthony did the new cabinet installation and were both pleasant and worked hard to make everything perfect. As you know, most jobs run into a glitch here and there, our glitch was with a kitchen base cabinet that had two pull down drawer fronts. One of the fronts would not close properly and no matter how hard they tried it just didn't work right - they ended up changing the pull down from two small pull downs to one long one after we suggested it (which does look very nice), and will work out fine. We are thinking of doing carpets soon too and this company also do that - needless to say, we will go back. Oh, when we got our quotes, we also quoted the one everyone in Ft. Myers knows (advertise 24/7) and they were about $20K higher and part of the job would have been refacing not replacement. So glad we talked to Longley. Do yourself a favor and at least go talk to Melissa! It is a big job, but can be made a little less painful.

improper business practices and working in an area that they dont have the proper state contractors license.
cabinets were installed on may 30 by longley kitchens. this job was done through lowes. they were supposed to install a range hood. after the first instllaer ripped out my electric lines from the old hood and left them dangling naked for a week he blew the fuses in my electric box. when I ask him if he had blown out my refrigerator he told me it didn't matter he wasn't an electrician. his name was Ed. the owner Chris came back to finish the job and when ask to install the hood range he said they didn't touch any electrical. I was told that it would be installed. this tells me that they don't have an state electrical license. they have no business touching the electric lines if they don't have an electrical contractors license and there not trained to work with electricity. the first installer Ed drop large pieces of cabinets on my new glass top stove without covering it like it was garbage. when he tore the old hood range down it missed the stove by inches and crashed to the floor. they punched two large holes in the sheet rock and the owner told me there was always damage when doing a tear down.
when they left they took two full garbage cans of constuction trash and dumped it in a box. they worker that was with him ask him if we should get this and Chris told him to leave it that it was my trash. I have a hurt back and have to drag the box of cabinet debris to the front for garbage pickup.

Desired Outcome

make the peope of sw florida aware of there shody practice.

Contact Name and Title: Melissa L., Manager

We were hired by Lowe's to install Mr.' CABINETS. He did not hire us to complete his job; Lowe's hired us to demo existing cabinets and install new cabinets only.
On the day we completed demo of the existing cabinets, the customer's home was found to be infested by many types of insects and was also found to have mold. Bugs were attacking my installers as they were attempting to work, which did cause one cabinet to be dropped. Because of the condition of the home, we notified Lowe's that we would not be able to complete the installation of the new cabinets until the mold and bug problems were remedied.
About 2 weeks later, we were notified that all of the issues had been resolved so we scheduled the installation of the new cabinetry. When we arrived to install the new cabinetry and noticed that the insect issue had not been resolved, however Mr *** insisted that he would still like to have his new cabinets installed. We completed the installation of the cabinetry and explained to him that we were not able to take the remaining debris with us because we were going straight to another client's home and did not want to risk infesting other people's homes with insects. We spoke with Lowe's regarding this and the manager had agreed that they would go to the customer's home to take the debris out for pickup so Mr. did not have to.
Regarding the electrical work, We are not licensed electricians and have never claimed to be. We are hired by Lowe's to install cabinetry ONLY. They do not contract us for any electrical work, therefore we do not complete any electrical work. We are able to, and did, hang the hood and complete the duct box alteration in the cabinet for this project, but when asked to wire the range hood, Chris explained to the client that we were not licensed electricians and therefore could not wire the hood for him. Our license does not cover that type of work and Lowe's did not contract us to complete any electrical work for them. Hanging the range hood and completing the alteration in the cabinet is the extent of what we're able to do, all else would have to be completed by a licensed electrician.
Regarding the drywall repair, it is common for some drywall repair to be necessary when cabinets and countertops are removed. We do not intentionally damage walls or "punch holes" in them; however accidentally damaging them during the demo process is sometimes unavoidable. For this particular project, Lowe's did not contract us to complete any drywall repair. The client's detail stated "necessary spackle, texture and paint by others". On a typical project we would take care of any necessary drywall repair, however we were not contracted for that type of work on this project.
I am very sorry that Mr. had a discouraging experience with our installation crew as we strive for excellence and try to exceed expectations on everything we complete. I believe this was just a miscommunication of scope of work between him and his general contractor (Lowe's).

We recently had our Ft. Myers condo renovated by Longley Kitchens and are extremely pleased with the quality of their work. As we were in PA during the renovation, we were able to communicate with them easily and are very happy with the outcome.
Renovation included:
1. New porcelain tile installed throughout the condo
2. New kitchen cabinets including quartz counter tops, back splash, new light fixtures and ceiling fan
3. Built-in hutch in the dining room
4. Small shower and large soaker tub removed in master bath and large tiled shower installed as well as new cabinets, granite counter tops, sinks, light fixtures, fan and linen closet
5. New cabinet and granite counter top in guest bath
6. New outdoor cabinet and granite counter top on lanai, as well as 3 ceiling fans
7. New crown molding and baseboard molding installed throughout
8. New ceiling fans installed in living room and master bedroom

Than you for the recommendation, *** and ***! You both are so sweet and were so easy to work with. Your condo turned out beautiful!!

Longley did two MAJOR jobs for us at the same time - our kitchen and our master bath - both rooms totally gutted and rebuilt. We were pleased with EVERYTHING they did. In addition to installing floors, cabinets, and granite, they moved walls, built closets, created doorways, moved plumbing and built an awesome shower in our master bath. Our family and friends are literally awestruck when they visit and see the transformation of our home. Longley offers beautiful quality products at very reasonable prices, provides personal service (and helpful input), and professional installation. When we were interviewing various kitchen and bath companies, we knew right away that Melissa and Chris were an excellent team. We have since recommended them to several friends who have been just a pleased.

Thank you so much for the kind words! You were such a pleasure to work for! I'm so happy that you allowed us to complete your remodel and that you have enough confidence in us to refer your friends. It means a lot!

Our house was built in 1975 and although it has a very good floorplan, the weakest room was the galley kitchen (with its' original 1975 cabinets).
We talked to three remodeling companies before we met with Longley Kitchens. One of those three was the largest kitchen remodeler in the area and was the easiest to dismiss due to a lack of creativity and highest price. The other two were good on creativity but were also high on price. One of them recommended RD Henry cabinets which we liked. I looked for other companies near Cape Coral/Ft. Myers that also offered RD Henry cabinets and found Longley Kitchens.
The more we talked to Chris and Melissa L, the more we liked their approach. We found Longley Kitchens to be fair on price, very experienced, extremely good to work with and even open to allowing me to do certain parts of the work myself.
Chris and Melissa started with us by helping us refine our plan. We wanted to remove almost all of the wall between the galley kitchen and the living room to create a "great room". Our floor needed patching to accomplish this and we only had a few extra tiles. The tile guy that they sent out was very good and the patched floor looks like new. The sheetrock needed patching on walls and ceiling and the "skip-trowel" finish was also matched perfectly.
The installation of cabinets was outstanding! After Chris and Anthony left, I held a level up to all sides of all cabinets and in every case the bubble on the level was dead center! Ed installed the crown molding and it too is a great display of the Longley Kitchens outstanding craftsmanship!
The gorgeous Cambria countertop and glass backsplash were installed and our kitchen - now great-room - is spectacular and makes the central part of our house look like a new home!
We also had Longley Kitchens remodel our guest bathroom at the same time and that too turned out wonderfully!
We are so happy to have found Longley Kitchens and their wonderful team of people. You need to talk to Melissa or Chris at Longley Kitchens if you are seriously considering remodeling. You will certainly be so happy after doing so!

Longley kitchens and their owners, Chris and Melissa, were called into my home after a terrible experience with another remodeling organization. We literally had two days to find another remodeling organization before we left our Fort Myers home to go back North for the summer. We found three companies, including Longley, to give us their concept for remodeling our entire living area and kitchen. I was impressed with the use of technology tools that Chris L. made use of to measure our kitchen. Melissa followed up quickly with a computer-generated design for our kitchen the next day. The other organizations we solicited could not respond back with their proposal or concepts in the same period of time. We went over to the Longley's design center one day later and selected cabinets, flooring, countertops etc. and agreed to get started. Chris tore out the floors, ceiling, entire kitchen shortly after we left in June. Plumbing lines and electric had to be moved requiring trenching of our floors. The only thing Longley and any other organization cannot control is the time it takes to get a building permit. It took almost 3 months for Lee county to bless us with a building permit. In mid-September Chris took on the unbelievable task of completing the whole project in 30 days. We came back to our Condo on October 15 to find a spectacular new home. It is breath taking!!! We have had countless real estate agent friends come in and take pictures of our newly remodeled Condo. We are ecstatic over the finished product. What a great combination; Great owners, Chris and Melissa, first class products and unbelievable attention to detail. I love what Chris and Melissa and the whole crew at Longley have done for our Condominium.

Longley Kitchens have been fantastic to work with. I'm a General contractor out of state and was looking to renovate my In - Laws kitchen. They have worked with me on every detail and have kept every date they said they would meet. I would recommend them to any one.

Thank you, Glenn! You've been equally as fantastic to work for! We appreciate your business and your kind words!

I want to thank Longley Kitchens for building and installing my custom cabinets. The biggest challenge was to match my current door style. I email several companies and they were the only one capable of doing so. Plus the guys that came home to install the cabinets did a great job. I am very very happy with the finish and how nice everything looks. Like it was always there.
