The patient purchased hearing instruments from us and paid for them being unaware that he had any insurance coverage towards the purchase of hearing instruments. We then double-checked to verified that he did, indeed, have partial insurance coverage, and we informed the
patient of that coverage. With the patients approval, we submitted the insurance claim and the insurance provider then paid us the partial coverage. We reached out to the patient and told him he would be reimbursed for that coverage. The complaint was filed on 7/20, as you know. There was a delay in our system, but we did send the check out on 7/24. We have spoken with the patient, today. The patient has received the reimbursement check and we feel the matter has been put to rest with all parties being satisfied. Further, the first communication we received from your company states you tried to contact us multiple times prior, but we had not received anything.
