Lonnie Cobb's Humboldt Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Reviews (2)

I [redacted] took my car for repair and inspection. Recieved fast and friendly service, unsatisfied repair, poor work, and more worse issues. I took my [redacted] to our local chrysler dealer on apirl 16,2015, for a tune up and inspection. [redacted] the receptionist got all my information, plus the issues I was having. I explain to her, and she said " okay we will take a look at it and give you a call. I recieved a call the next day about what all needs to be repaired, and I agreed for them to repair it. I recieved my vehicle back on the 20th paid 1,438 with [redacted] credit card for the repairs. I drove my vehicle and it the problem got worse, my car was constantly dieing on me I could not make it back home. I took it back to the dealer and they agreed that they did not amke the proper repair, so they repaired it. Upon repairing it seems that something droppoed in the engine and cause the engine to start knocking. The manager [redacted] agreed that it was there fault, and agree to fix it. It took 40 days for me to get my car back, how enough to make me feel that I was no longer a priority anymore. I called several times asking about my vehicle. I have my vehicle, and it has problems starting, it vibrates, and smokes. [redacted] told me that he did not repair the engine the way it should.Desired SettlementI'd like the engine to be replace because if the dealer went into to my engine and did not repair it properly, the life of my engine is unknown. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted]In response to case number [redacted]. On March 10,2015 Mr. [redacted] brought his [redacted] to our dealership for service. Mr. [redacted] was advised that his vehicle was in need of a tune up. He requested that the ignition coils and wires also be replaced. He was advised that the coils and wires did not need replacing. They were replaced at his request. Upon inspection we discovered that the exhaust did not fit properly and had been wielded in place. It was also noted that the motor mounts were also broken. Mr. [redacted] was notified of these issues and requested repair. The customer also stated the vehicle would completely shut down when driving. We found that the battery cables were loose and the battery test indicated low voltage. The requested repairs were made.Mr. [redacted] returned to the dealership on March 23, 2015 advising that his car was still dying. Upon inspection, we discovered the intake manifold leaking. On farther investigation it was discovered that an incorrect manifold had been installed on this engine. We attempted to seal the manifold. When the engine was restarted, the manifold disintegrated internally, which is common with age and mileage. The affected engine parts were replaced. Mr. [redacted] was informed that this was an engine repair., not an engine rebuild. He was also informed the used engine that had been previously installed in his vehicle was not the correct engine for that vehicle, making our diagnostic equipment of no help on his vehicle. In reference to his statement of not knowing the life of his engine, the life of any used engine. unless purchased with a warranty is always in question. Customer satisfaction is always our goal. I fell that we have dealt with Mr. [redacted] fairly.Consumer Response I diagree with his reply because of the problems that has started, and that still exist. The car doesn't function properly at all at this point. It's like the car was put back together after a engine tear down, due to the something that was dropped in the engine when repairing the intake manifold. Just to run long and well enough to get out their shop, and deliberately sabotaged. By this being a professional place of business, and dealer of the the brand vehicle I own. I would suspect that they would an edge over any other shop, that's why I took my vehicle to them. Being professional and having fair service, should not result in a the dealer saying before I tested the vehicle after the repair.... " I'm done with it, and we're not going to work on it anymore" , unsatisfied customer, and a vehicle that's in worse condition when I originally took it. Just unfair! Final Business Response AS was stated in previous response we have done all that we can for mr [redacted], as wrong engine installed in his car by some one else we can not continue to work on this car. vehicle repaired correctly and ran fine when left, but diagnostic equipment will not work with this engine as it is wrong one for car. told Mr [redacted] engine was only repaired not complete rebuild so should be treated that way.

The company has not been properly inspecting my vehicle. Now they are saying that it needs $1500 of work and it is dangerous to drive2009 Dodge Caliber purchased 2/27/2009. Vin number [redacted]. A case is currently pending. Case #[redacted]. The prices they are quoting are drastically over the cost of their products on the manufactures own website. Prices. They wrote a lower control arm costing $194.00 it is currently listed at $135.72. Every part is quoted by them to be gigher than it actually is on the website. I also do not understand how the control arm and balljoint can be so dangerous on one tire only and there can be an oil leak and a thermostat leak and they have just caught both leaks after my warranty ran out. I specifically asked to check everything thoroughly.Desired SettlementFull coverage of the oil and thermostat repair and correct pricing on all other parts and labor.
