Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:At no time did he advise me that the floor kit was necessary and that he would install it for additional money. Also when he came to my home I told him the dimensions of the new shed and he told me that he could install it. I didn't measure the pad and neither did he. I had an adjustor from his insurance company on my property and HE measured the pad and likely gave that information to MrTrout

At no time did he advise me that the floor kit was necessary and that he would install it for additional money.  Also when he came to my home I told him the dimensions of the new shed and he told me that he could install it.  I didn't measure the pad and neither did he.   I had an adjustor from his insurance company on my property and HE measured the pad and likely gave that information to Mr. Trout.

December 17, 2015To [redacted] or Whom it May Concern,I appreciate you reaching out to me in regards to the work that was done for [redacted] on October 10th, 2015.I was originally contacted for an estimate to remove an old existing metal shed and assemble a new one. arranged a time to...

meet with [redacted] to assess the amount of time that would be needed to do this. When I arrived, I was shown the existing shed to be removed, and was told that the new shed  (to be installed), was on order but was not yet delivered. wasn't given a model number of brand name, only told that the shed to be assembled and installed, was on Order and an easy put together. She also assured me that she measured and it would fit on the concrete pad below the existing shed. An estimate was given for 3 hours of work based on the existing shed saw, and the product that was described to me.The first time saw the new shed was the day the work was preformed. When my assistant and showed up on the 10th we disassembled the old metal shed and began to assemble the new shed. Once we laid the new shed of I realized that the measurements for the shed did not in match that of the concrete foundation pad, informed her that she would need the floor kit that was included with the shed kit, in order to secure it to the ground, as it did not fit on the existing concrete pad. However, that would require extra labor (and fee associated with that) as that was not what was presented to me when we had previously met and discussed the job. She waived that option due to the extra cost of labor. again tried to make sure that she was aware of what the implications were of this, and she insisted that she did not want to spend the money on the extra labor. As you can see from the reviews online for this shed (two below), the consensus is that it takes between 8 to 12 hours and recommends not only being savvy with tools, but also having power tools and another person with you to assist in assembly. What was described as an easy put together, was actually not as cut and dry as it was originally presented, and ended up taking 8.5 hours (not 7 as she indicated).A little over a month after informing her that it was essential for her to have that floor kit installed, got a call from her indicating that the shed had blown up off the concrete pad and landed in a neighboring yard after a bad storm. She told me that she needed me to come fix it. I can understand her frustration and would like to be able to assist in the matter, but after having told her in front of my partner) that she needed to install a floor kit and what could happen if she opted to not have it installed, an at a loss as to how to proceed as essentially already gave her 2.5 hours of labor for free.Lonnie T.
