Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here] The damage is not minor scrapes it is actual physical dents If it was simply scrapes, I could have them detailed out at a car wash and it wouldn't require body work These are dents As I advised the valet company, it's a shiny black truck and it is difficult to adequate capture the damage with pictures The damage needs to be seen in person by a body shop in order to assess the damage I advised the valet company I would be happy to take my truck to a shop of their choosing if they didn't agree with the estimate, they refused I cannot comment on what a reasonable estimate is or what the typical charges most shops charge are, as I am not in the body shop or valet line of businessThe restaurant was busy enough on that Saturday night that I had to wait behind other cars when I pulled in for the valet to take my keys and park my truck in the parking lot It was a full parking lot and a full dining roomIt didn't start raining until after I entered the restaurant, and it was not raining heavy Regardless of whether or not the restaurant was busy or how hard it rained, careless valets can still damage a customer's vehicle, which is what happened hereI did not overlook the damage I personally washed my truck that Saturday afternoon, and there was no damage on the truck, no dents, no "scrapes," it would have been impossible for me to miss that damageThe only place I drove after washing my truck was to the restaurant and the only place I drove after the restaurant was home My truck didn't come into contact with any vehicles other than the vehicles at the restaurant when under the control of the valet In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

The damage is not minor scrapes it is actual physical dents.  If it was simply scrapes, I could have them detailed out at a car wash and it wouldn't require body work.  These are dents.  As I advised the valet company, it's a shiny black truck and it is difficult to adequate capture the damage with pictures.  The damage needs to be seen in person by a body shop in order to assess the  damage.  I advised the valet company I would be happy to take my truck to a shop of their choosing if they didn't agree with the estimate, they refused.  I cannot comment on what a reasonable estimate is or what the typical charges most shops charge are, as I am not in the body shop or valet line of business. The restaurant was busy enough on that Saturday night that I had to wait behind other cars when I pulled in for the valet to take my keys and park my truck in the parking lot.  It was a full parking lot and a full dining room. It didn't start raining until after I entered the restaurant, and it was not raining heavy.  Regardless of whether or not the restaurant was busy or how hard it rained, careless valets can still damage a customer's vehicle, which is what happened here. I did not overlook the damage.  I personally washed my truck that Saturday afternoon, and there was no damage on the truck, no dents, no "scrapes," it would have been impossible for me to miss that damage. The only place I drove after washing my truck was to the restaurant and the only place I drove after the restaurant was home.  My truck didn't come into contact with any vehicles other than the vehicles at the restaurant when under the control of the valet.

Dear Mid Hudson Dispute Services,We received your information about the complaint registered by [redacted] regarding his 2014 GMC Sierra truck.I can confirm that [redacted] did report to our office that he discovered damage to the vehicle the day after he received valet parking with our team. [redacted]...

[redacted] owns a 2014 vehicle which appears to be in good condition. [redacted] reported some minor dents on the passenger side door the day after he received valet parking. He said he drove straight home from the event and saw them the next day. When a customer calls in a claim and has already left the site we ask them to send in pictures so we can see the extent of the damage. [redacted] did take pictures and sent them to me. I reviewed them and noted that there were minor scrapes on the door. We also asked for a reasonable estimate. The estimate he sent was around $700.00 and a labor rate of $50/hr which is higher than average. Most shops we use charge $43-$45/hr. We are not disputing the cost of the repair. We did an investigation of this claim with our Valet Mgr. and he reported that the service was slow the day [redacted] came to the restaurant. We checked with the restaurant and they confirmed they had fewer than usual reservations the entire day due to poor weather. The team reported no incidents on the day in question. There were no other reports of damage that day. We do take both sides into consideration when making our decision. [redacted] does appear to have damage but it could have been overlooked for one or more days (the damage is on the passenger side of the vehicle.) Due to the heavy rain that day the restaurant had slow service. I trust our team to report the facts and give equal weight to our Manager's report. I felt as though this was likely a case of a client finding damage on his vehicle after the fact and then deciding it was the fault of our valet team. In my 10 years of claims experience I see time and again that small damage often gets overlooked for several days. Clients often are not aware of it. We certainly could not stay in business if every customer came back the next day-pointed out minor dents and dings and demanded we fix their car. That would not be fair to our company either. The decision to Deny this claim based on the reports and our review still stands. We do apologize for any inconvenience. But we are not able to honor this particular claim.
