Lopez Glass

Review: I first contacted Lopez Glass on Wednesday, January 8th and requested an appointment to take measurements for a custom glass panel for my shower that is currently under renovation. I was given a window from 3pm to 5pm on Friday, January10th. Lopez Glass's sales person did not show up until after 6:30pm on Friday, took the measurements and asked me to have my contractor give him a call because there are a few options of how the glass panel could be done. My contractor [redacted] from [redacted] contacted them on Monday, confirmed the measurements and then stopped by Lopez Glass's office to drop off the payment ($169). Lopez Glass sales person told us that they get their deliveries on Wednesdays and the panel would be ready for pick-up first thing in the morning (8:30am) on Thursday, January 16. We double checked the date because timely delivery was crucial in this project as we have a few crews already scheduled to do different things. My contractor **. [redacted] went to Lopez Glass at 10am on Thursday and [redacted] Lopez told him that the glass has been manufactured but not available for pick-up as it has not left Maryland yet. Mr. Lopez also told him that the glass should have never been promised to us on Thursday, it should've been the following Wednesday and he is not sure who that person was we spoke with. **. [redacted] was forced to go all the way to Maryland to pick up the panel from the manufacturer's site so the work can continue. As soon as **. [redacted] let me know he was going to Maryland, I called Lopez Glass to ask for clarification. Mr. [redacted] Lopez told me I am not their customer and he is not going to discuss anything with me. I reminded him it was me who scheduled an appointment with them and I paid with my personal check and **. [redacted] just confirmed the measurements and delivered the check as a courtesy. Later that day I spoke with Mr. [redacted] Lopez, the owner of Lopez Glass, and he also denied that they guaranteed the panel to be ready for pick up on Thursday from their office.Desired Settlement: Lopez Glass reimburses gasoline expenses for **. [redacted] from [redacted] ($30). Lopez Glass reimburses 50% of the panel cost ($85) due to failure to deliver on time and breaking the contract.
