their staff lied to me to get me an appointment and at the appointment they did not provide the service I requested and made me pay $206
I was looking to get rx for climid which is nothing crazy and in my situation its best option. So I asked their staff twice to make sure they will give me the prescription without trying to waste my time and make more money off of me like most doctors and they replied YES twice. even after I arrived at the appointment I asked again and said thats the only reason why Im here and I don't have any other reason to see the dr. so the dr refused to give me the prescription and said that she would like for me to try longer (I'm 34 and don't have time to try getting pregnant after 35 is dangerous) I could have gone to any other drs and they would suggest for me to take climid as I is one of the first option for patients in my situations, but She would like make money and waste my time more as It appeared that she didn't have many patients. So she refused even thought I told her one other reason I needed that prescription was to have higher chances of twin. Im completely healthy and this is my personal choice, but she said that having twins is really hard and too much work and refused again. I don't let her make my personal decision for me. I want my money back (not to mention the long drive and the waste of my time they caused me) and they are not allowed to lie to people like that. If I didn't have enough knowledge this Dr could have been wasting my time and making more money off of me.

Desired Outcome

they need to be honest to their patients. and refund my money.

LOR Women's Health Response

To Whom It May Concern;
This patient called my office to schedule a new patient appointment for a prescription for clomid. My scheduler informed patient that she cannot guarantee patient will be prescribed this medication because she is not our current patient, and she needs to be evaluated by the physician.
At check in, patient asked again if she will be given a prescription for clomid. My front staff was out that afternoon and my office manager was covering the front. My office manager informed patient, again, she cannot guarantee Dr. *** will prescribe this medication today because she is a new patient and we do not know her medical history. She informed patient only doctor can prescribe medications so she will need to consult with the doctor. Patient agreed, she filled out all our forms, I discussed history and physical with patient. She informed me she was seen by a fertility specialist; however, that physician wanted to do additional testing but patient stated she did not want her time to be wasted and did not do testing. Patient then transferred care to my office.
I explained to patient based on her history and physical she needs to complete additional work up (lab work, ultrasound, ovulation testing, etc.) before I can prescribe her clomid. I also explained to patient that clomid is for infertility with anovulation and is not indicated for her unless proven she is anovulatory or unexplained infertility after completion of additional work up. I also discussed the risk associated with clomid use including ovarian cyst formation, Hyperstimulation Syndrome, and Luteal Phase Defect. At this point, patient agreed to schedule for further testing.
Again, I spent at least 45 minutes face to face with this new patient and explained why I will not prescribe her this medication before she completes necessary work up. Please contact my office if you have further questions.
Sincerely,

Fariba ***, MD

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This dr is totally liying. She doesnt know the conversation betwewn me and her staff. The first time I called her office, I explained that im tired of these drs wasting my time and money and I need rx for clomid now because thats whats gonna work for me and most of my pharmacist I work with had recommended this. I only chose this dr because my friend recommended her. the receptionist said yes I dont see why not. She prescribe it usually. When I arrived at her office I doubled checked and the office manager alao said yes just talk to the dr. Both time the staff told me yes and nothing else. At the beginning of the visit I mentioned clomid and she ignored me and continued with her check up and at the end told me no. I came out and went to another dr ans hot the rx in my hand now. There are no risk for taking this medicine and is recommended for my age and situation. Drs swear to be honest and she is totally lying. Or maybe her staffs are being dishonest. Bottom line I paid another dr $200 and got what I wanted so she needs to refund my money (not to mention the 45 minutes drive and time I wasted going to her office)
