L'Oreal USA Reviews (12)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We will contact the consumer and provide solution.

We updated the consumers information to include the apartment number.  Consumer was issued  3-$10.00 coupons.  They will be processed and sent to her address tomorrow.

We called the consumer and left her a message, letting her know that a refund has been issued for the product.  We also are sending her complimentary coupons, that can be used towards any L'Oreal products.

I have purchased many L'oreal products throughout the years and was excited to hear about a Gold Rewards program (introduced a few years ago). The program offered a free box of hair color for every few purchased and logged in through their website. I submitted many codes and was to receive 4 free boxes....which never arrived (no coupons, no voucher, no gift card..). My mom who also colors her hair, submitted her codes and was to receive a free box of hair color and she never received anything.

I feel this is false marketing. When I called L'oreal to share my experience, they said they would send me a complimentary coupon. I am disappointed in how they resolved this issue and would warn others about this 'Rewards' Program.

Review: On August [redacted]., 2014 I placed an order with [redacted] USA, via internet, because they have a promotion of 20% off. That same date they sent an e-mail confirming that order, including the order number #[redacted] and tracking number UPS-[redacted]. On August [redacted]., they charged my credit card ($128.00) I was tracking the above mentioned UPS number, and as today, the onlymessage that appears in their page is: "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status-including the scheduled delivery date-will be updated." It looks that, as of today, they did not receive the merchandise.I called [redacted](###-###-####)on Saturday(twice) and Sunday(twice) and the customer service representative maintained me on hold to investigate, but when return to the phone call, can not explain me what happen to the order. The four(4) customer service personnel do the same thing. In the last Sunday call, at 4:15pm, I tried to cancel the order, but they do not let me do so.Desired Settlement: I want the money back to my credit card. I want that you keep and eye on that company, because this is the third time they try to fool me. On July ** and July ** they sent an e-mail with a promotionof 15% off.The promotion code Of July ** did not function,I made the purchase on July **, but when I check the order the shipping address is incorrect, when I tried to fix it,they told me that it's impossible, so I have to cancel the order. It looks that company is trying to fool the customers.

Review: Loreal Paris is running a scam through its gold rewards program. I have emailed and called the company numerous times since february 2015 and they are yet to address my complaint. Their website states that if you purchase 5 hair color boxes you get a voucher in the mail for a free box. So far I haven't received anything. I entered over 10 codes and purchased a lot more than 10 boxes and their website says everytime that I should receive the voucher within 6-8 weeks and of course nothing is being mailed. My numerous emails are left unanswered and numerous message on [redacted] left unaddressed and my calls get dismissed by a representative saying oh we will mail you one and again nothing gets mailed. After numerous failed attempts I only got to the conclusion that they are running a scam to get people to just buy more boxes. One representative names Helen sent me a [redacted] message stating they sent me so far 6 vouchers which is completely a lie. I sent her back stating that these false accusations are disrespectful and ridiculous and they must have mailed them somewhere else and on their system it must show if any of these vouchers were cashed and they will see that none were. She also sent me the address they were mailed to and of course to no surprise they didn't have the apartment number listed however each representative on the phone that claimed to have mailed me one already confirmed my full address correctly so why would they say they mailed it out without the apt number. I live in a big compound and without the apt number the mail goes nowhere. I told Helen that and that I will be contacting the Revdex.com to file a complaint as it's been ongoing for almost a year and still the company hasn't mailed me anything and of course Helen didn't care what so ever just like all the other representatives before her since february 2015. This is a scam that Loreal Paris is running and the Revdex.com needs to investigate this business ethics and shut down the gold rewards program.Desired Settlement: The company needs to prove they are not running a scam by mailing me my vouchers or theor program needs to be shut down that would prove me right.

on December [redacted] 2014 , I bought a tube of sublime glow , on January [redacted] 2015, I did a test spot on my wrist to see if I would get a rash , nothing appeared , so on the [redacted] of January I put the product on my feet , legs, arms, tummy , chest , just like the bottle says to do , the [redacted] of jan I started seeing little bumps and by the [redacted] of jan , the little bumps turned into small water blisters, then it all turned into inflamed rash , some would bleed, most had puss looking stuff coming out, this real bad rash last around 3 months , bad itching also, no cream works to help , since jan 2015, I have had this bad rash 4 times now, it comes , last 2 1/2 to 3 months, goes away , a few couple months goes by and here it comes again, can not sleep when you have this rash , if you want to get a tan I would have to say, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY, I went to a dermatologist and he said this will be going on now for life, 1 in 100,000 people will get this rash , it also brings out [redacted] , which will come and go for life now , its not worth it

Review: I am trying to place an order on this site with all correct personal information. But their website does not allow me submit the order. When I chatted with their customer service online and asked for the exact reason why my order was rejected, I was told they could not provide the reason.Desired Settlement: 1. The website should remove the restriction and let I place my order. OR2. They give me the exact reason why I was rejected for placing an order.

Review: Hello,

I purchased a product "Garnier skin renew anti-puff eye roller 0.5 fl oz" which is owned by LOreal. The package claims the following: Immediately cools and refreshes and decongests puffiness and says in 2 weeks under-eye puffines is reduced"

I tried it on one eye for 3 weeks and notices absolutely no improvement. I then emailed Garnier to tell them and ask for a refund on 9/**/13 and again on 10/**/13. Each time I received a confirmation that my email was received ans someone would get back to me, which no one ever did by email or regular mail.

I believe they are selling a product that does not do what they say it does and in fact is used just to take peoples money from them. They need to issue a refund and take the product off the shelves and contact the public about getting refunds. They also need to respond to customers who reach out to them.

Thanks,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: They need to issue a refund and take the product off the shelves and contact the public about getting refunds. They also need to respond to customers who reach out to them.

Sincerely,

Review: Garnier was having a Promotion for their BB face Cream on their [redacted] page, they failed at 1st promised delivery of Products, changed rules without notification, lying to customers that the items were being filled and shipped (I had to do a separate Revdex.com complaint to get my items, which I did), in the process of this mess of a "Promotion" on their [redacted] page, everyone was complaining, asking where their items were, just everyone was/is very unhappy and mad, I was also complaining, pointing out how they changed the rules without notification, etc.....then I received this private message from a Garnier Rep in my [redacted] messages: "Conversation started ** July 20:00 [redacted] Hello, I am a represenitive of Garnier Products. Garnier is NOT a scam, and yelling and harassing other people profiles is not necessary. If you have any problems with the people including the innocent girl you told was ugly call 1800-YOUR - A- [redacted] You think calling people names is appropriate well you [redacted] piece of [redacted] you don't even have a picture of yourself. Or maybe it is you? Looks like a burnt rat! And you say stay out of your bussiness? Your writing on a public page you [redacted] rat it!!" I did not appreciate this message at all, being I never said one thing as accused here to anybody, I have no clue why a Garnier Rep would send such an awful, foul message. The Rep that sent it, immediately "blocked" me, so I could not respond. I have never been called such nasty words in my entire life, and this is very upsetting. I asked Garnier on their ** page about the message, they ignored me (I have a screen shot of it), I also emailed Garnier 2 times about this "message" the first reply back to me, they acted as if they did not see it in my email, and they never replied to my 2nd email. I called ###-###-#### and talked to "[redacted]" after I got this message, she said she would all me back, but never did. I then called a [redacted] many times and left messages on her voice mail using the ####-###-####, she never called me back. So I tried the ####-###-#### on 8/*/13, and finally I told what happened and was given a case# "[redacted]", and told someone would call me, never got a call back, but I kept calling as to why I was not receiving a call, and help with this called8/** 8/*, 8/*, and 8/**, talked with a supervisor "[redacted]" who told me "this girl doesn't work for Garnier", but would not prove it to me, and I told [redacted], I addressed this 3 times (1with Garnier ** page, 2 via email), all ignored, [redacted] also told me that this "message" really shouldn't matter being it wasn't seen by anyone but me, THATS a horrible way to handle this (I hope they have the recorded phone calls). I was not offered any "sorry's" any resolution to this at all, and that was a very un-necessary message, which still upsets me. I have all emails saved, and screen shots if you need them as proof.Desired Settlement: After all my attempts to let them know of this, have employees tell me "someone" would get back to me, and just outright being ignored with this issue, I want a written apology, the employee punished, if not fired...and a gift certificates for free products, or a package of some products sent to me, after being accused of saying "Garnier is a scam, and calling someone ugly", the nasty words the employee used towards me in that message, and all the trouble I have had to go thru with this issue, and being completely ignored, I certainly deserve a very huge apology letter, and gifts.

Response:

We have had multiple contacts with this consumer going back to May. Initially she was upset because she had redeemed her BB Cream Reward points and had not received her free BB Cream. She then contacted us because she was upset that the deadline had changed.

Garnier sent an email apologizing for the delay in sending the BB Cream. [redacted] has received the BB Cream along with several complimentary Garnier Skincare products.

Since then, she has apparently posted several comments on the Garnier [redacted] page and is now very upset because she claims that a Garnier representative responded to her [redacted] posts in a very negative manner.

We spoke to her several times advising her that the post was a private message post directly to [redacted] from a non-Garnier employee. The person [redacted] impersonated a Garnier employee, but has no affiliation with our company.

August **, 2013-We verbally told [redacted] again that [redacted] was not a Garnier employee. We apologized to her in the delay the BB cream and for the [redacted] post.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[redacted], I receive the response you sent me today 8-**-13 from Garnier, I do not accept their response as they (again) are not telling the truth, but your Revdex.com form will not allow me to to type in the text area, which then does not even allow me to send it. I called you 2 times and left messages today on your voicemail explaining this, and the fact I only have 6 days to respond (which seems to be wrong according to your "rules"), I am going to type right here "why" I do not accept their response, and I expect you to let me know you received this, being your website will not allow me to write in the "text" area.

I DO NOT ACCEPT GARNIER'S RESPONSE: FOLLOWING REASONS:

First of all, they keep mentioning the issue with the BB Cream, which has nothing to do with this complaint, that complaint was handled by another branch of the Revdex.com and it was to "Realtime Media", in that complaint, I only asked for my BB cream, magnet, and key chain that I redeemed, I did not ask for any other items that were sent with my BB Cream, and I still have not got my key chain and magnet. So as far as Garnier saying in the last complaint with Realtime Media, "I received "SEVERAL" extra items, there was 3 in the box, but I did not ask for them. Now to the actual subject of this complaint #[redacted], the message from the Garnier Rep all happened as follows:

7-**-13 10:19am

Asked for [redacted] concerning this issue, but she had to call me back.

~7-**-13 10:37am

[redacted] called me back, I explained to her about the "message" I received from the Garnier Rep, she said she would look into it, and call me back, I never received a call back from her to this very day.

~7-**-13 10:53am

Corp office [redacted]

I called trying to find out who I needed to speak to about this "message" sent to me from the Garnier Rep. the man that answered told me he was putting me thru to [redacted], she did not answer her phone, so I had to leave a message, I explained the reason why I was calling, and for her to please call me back.

~7-**-13 7:37am

Corp office [redacted]

Left another message with [redacted] to please call me back in reference to the message I received from a Garnier rep, (again)

~7-**-13 8:53am

Revdex.com "[redacted]" with the Pa Revdex.com, being I had the open complaint at this time with Realtime Media, I asked [redacted] to please add this message from the Garnier rep, but she said I would have to open a new complaint being the message came from a Garnier Rep, and my complaint with her was for Realtime Media.

~7-**-13 9:22am

Corp office [redacted]

Asked for [redacted], and Receptionist hung up on me.

~7-**-13 9:28am

corp office [redacted]

Asked for [redacted] again, and the receptionist hung up on me again.

~7-**-13 9:29am

corp office ###-###-####

Asked for [redacted] again, receptionist finally put me thru to her, but she did not answer, so once again, I left another message in reference to the message from the Garnier Rep, and for her to call me back.

~7-**-13 1:01pm

corp office [redacted]

Asked why [redacted] was not returning any of my phone calls on such a terrible message a Garnier Rep left me, receptionist had no answer for that.

~8-*-13 9:02am

corp office [redacted]

nobody was answering the phone. stayed on the line waiting for someone to answer for 2 mins

~8-*-13 9:04 am

corp office [redacted]

nobody answering phone again, let it ring for 3 minutes

~8-*-13 9:07 am

corp office [redacted]

still nobody nswering phone, let it ring for 5 minutes

~8-*-13 9:12am

corp office [redacted]

Still no answer, I figured they might have caller ID at this point and were avoiding my calls, being they always picked up right away any other day I called.

~8-*-13 3:43pm

cust service ###-###-####

Explained whole issue with [redacted], she said someone would call me back within 24 hours.

~8-*-13 8:10am

cust service ###-###-####

Got [redacted] again, told her nobody has called me back and it's been well over 24 hours, she said she would put in another request

~8-*-13 12:08pm

cust. service [redacted]

Got [redacted] again, I asked her why nobody was calling me back on this issue, she said she did not know, but if she put in another request it would put me at the end of the "call back" list.

~8-*-13 10:53am

customer service [redacted]

Talked to [redacted] this time, I explained entire issue to her, and explained nobody was calling me back from there and that [redacted] from the corp office was not returning my calls, [redacted] then decided to make this a "case" case # [redacted], and told me some one would get back to me shortly.

~8-*-13 12:36pm

cust service [redacted]

[redacted] (supervisor) called me, I explained entire issue, and thru the course of my talking, she kept talking over me very angrily that a person who worked for Garnier would write such a message, I asked her how she knew that for certain and she had no factual answer, she said she would talk to "somebody" and call me back.

~8-**-13 9:15 am

customer service [redacted]

Asked for [redacted] (supervisor), when she got on the line, I asked her why she had not called me back, and she said, because nobody from Garnier wouls write such a message, and I mentioned to [redacted] that I even asked on the Garnier ** page about this message (please see attachment), and they seemed to admit to my question about the horrid message, but acted as if it was no big deal, or they were not paying attention to what I asked, and just wrote what they did, as you will see with the attachment, I asked them again about the message, and that they just admitted to it, and they ignored that. I told [redacted] about the email I sent Garnier in reference to this nasty message I got from a Garnier Rep, and that they never even acknowledged it in the email (please see attached), [redacted] then said to me "what does it matter anyways, the message was private, only you saw it, it's not like the world saw what was written", I then asked her why she felt that was OK then, to have this message from a Garnier Rep calling me a "[redacted]", [redacted], rat, etc.....she again said, "well your the only one that saw it", I then figured nobody from this company was taking this seriously, and it really had/has me quite upset, so I told [redacted] I was placing a complaint with the Revdex.com.

Nobody should ever be treated as I was with this situation, whether this girl is or isn't a Garnier rep (I still have no factual answer, and was told by [redacted] "what does it matter". Not one person cared to help me with this, no return phone calls, no return emails on this issue, no explanation on the ** page to my inquiry about this, not one person cared this entire time what was said to me from this Garnier rep, until 8-*-13 when [redacted] made a "case" out of it. That is horrible customer service, and nobody ever told me they were sorry about the nasty message, they said practically nothing, being nobody would even respond to me, and this very serious issue. After all the hell I have been thru with this issue about this message from the Garnier Rep, and not anyone even caring, I deserve a very special "i'm so very sorry [redacted]" sent to me. It is not my fault you have no control over your Reps, there is no excuses for this at all!!!! Please see all attachments, if you would like to see more of your company's ** responses to situations, I have those, just let me know. ty

Sincerely,

Review: Garnier had a promotion on their [redacted] page (I Love My BB). The promo consisted of daily and weekly questions and challenges to earn points that could be redeemed for prizes.

At the end of the promo, I had redeemed my points for 6 tubes of light/medium oil free BB cream, and 1 tube of light/medium original BB cream. The promo ended on May **, 2013, and at first the terms and conditions showed we were supposed to receive the prizes in 4-6 weeks. After the promo ended though, Garnier changed the terms to 6-8 weeks, without informing anyone, and later they started saying 10-12 weeks. Now they just started avoiding answering questions. It has been more than 12 weeks and still no BB cream and no emails that they have been shipped.

I have tried to contact them repeatedly, but they will always come with some auto generated response like "we are working on it" "thanks for your patience" "sorry for your frustration" "we are having trouble filling the orders" or some other excuse. This is funny, because they aren't having troubles filling shelves with BB cream at stores.

I really tried to stay positive that these prizes will actually come, but as it has been more than 12 weeks I am starting to think it was all a scam for publicity. I have lost faith in this company and I just want the prizes that I earned.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my prizes in the next week or so. ASAP. I am tired of hoping and waiting every day. My prizes are: 6 tubes of light/medium Oil Free Garnier BB cream, and 1 tube of light/medium Original Garnier BB cream. I am tired of this company running their customers in circles and just want what I earned.
