Our business is heavily dependent on weather forecasts as much of our work is performed outdoors and for safety and insurance reasons we will not have our technicians climbing ladders when there is inclement weather. Unfortunately, this means that with projects such as yours, when we have a forecast calling for rain, we need to adjust our schedules in advance to be able to keep projects moving forward. When these adjustments need to occur, it is not always possible to reschedule as quickly as we would like, especially if two technicians are needed on a project at the same time. Upon completion of the first day of your project, our technician made it clear to us that two technicians were needed to finish the project as the gutters were packed full, the areas needed to position ladders were filled with bushes and other obstacles making the placement of a ladder a precarious situation, and not to mention the electrical lines and tree branches that were running over the gutters. During our busy season, we are easily scheduled 1-2 weeks out with projects making it difficult to get two technicians scheduled to return to complete the project. At no time did we abandon the project and it is unconscionable to accuse us of this. We did not send you any invoice to indicate we were done with the project. We did our best to get back to complete the project as soon as we could. As for the billing of the completed job, we only sent you an invoice with the costs associated with the 7 hours of work that was performed, and we have GPS confirmation of these times. At no time did we bill you or attempt to bill you for any other amount. As we have a scripted description of our service that we follow with each call to outline our service, it is difficult to imagine we would have misstated both our first hour rate and our HALF hour rate. It is more likely to imagine that you heard us incorrectly, which is unfortunate but does not change the fact that we worked 7 hours on this project and should be compensated accordingly. As a final clarification, we did not threaten to put a lien on your property because you mentioned contacting the Revdex.com to complain about our service. We stated that a lien would be put on your property if payment wasn’t rendered as your account was over 30 days PAST DUE.
