This letter is in response to your letter regarding [redacted], aka [redacted].We fixed her truck at our repair facility according to our estimate a copy of which is attached.  Because we were fixing it for her less her $1500 deductible plus she received a check back for $114.13 from the...

checks that got sent to us from her insurance adjuster.  We told her it would not be perfect but it would look decent and she said that was ok she was glad to be saving the $1614.13.  When she picked her truck up we told her it would need buffing down the road a bit because Urethane paint has a slow curing time in colder temperatures.  She said that was fine and she would bring it back in spring for a final buffing because she was going to put it in storage for the winter anyway.  Instead she called a couple of weeks later and said she wasn't happy and wanted it buffed now.  So we told her to bring it back.  Because like I said, it is a slow curing time on the paint.  We buffed it, waited a day or two for it to harden good again and buffed it again, waited another day or two and buffed it a third time.  At that time she called and said she did not want us to touch it anymore she wanted it back NOW.  When it went out of here that day after the 3rd buffing it looked very good, as you can see by the pictures I have attached.  They were taken that same day.  However, because the paint is still soft underneath we told her it will still need an additional buffing.   The Oshkosh Police Department made sure she received a written notice that the buffing would have to be done again in the future.   Although her truck was sitting outside waiting for her most of the day to pick up she didn't come to get it til after hours.  Her truck was here only two weeks, we had work in the shop we had to finish the first week and so we did the buffing the second week.   There was no overspray on the seats or interior of the truck when it left here that day.  It should also be noted that when her car came in here for repair, there was not a panel on it that wasn't damaged, someone had taken either a sledge hammer or a baseball bat to it.  These pictures can be obtained from her insurance co. Geico Ins.  Our repair was to only repair each panel and not replace any panels.  We also found additional dents on the top of her cab above the doors that she had not previously showed us and were not on her insurance estimates either but we also repaired those for no additional cost to her.  After the fact a copy of the insurance co estimates came in our possession and we did not fix it according to their estimates.   These estimates were for $6500 and a facility in Omro gave her an estimate of $8000.  She opted having it done the cheap way instead of the insurance way because she wanted to save the money. Sincerely, [redacted]Loren's Auto 3000 Oregon StreetOshkosh, WI  54902###-###-####Fax ###-###-####

I have mentioned before that this could be all resolved if she would submit the pictures from the insurance company showing what her vehicle looked like before we repaired it.  The vehicle was complete when it left here, pictures were sent to prove that.  She doesn't want to provide those because it would prove our claim that we did NOT make her vehicle look worse than it came here as she claims.  Bottom line, she was given an estimate telling her that we were repairing all panels and replacing nothing.  She agreed to this when she brought her vehicle in to us.  She got more repairs than she paid for.  She is owed nothing back. Loren's Auto

well 1st of of  i had inicially took my truck in for repairs on Oct 19, 2015 and had 2 deductiables of $500, my adjuster from my insurance company Geico Insurance [redacted] had suggested I could save money by having my bed replaced & painted rather having each panel being done separted because each panel would cost $1,000 each side to have it done so if I could get a used bed instead I could save $1,000 which was my deductable, so I then told Loren if he was able to do that, he said yes and I also asked him twice if he was sure he would do a good job on my truck because my truck is fairly new and I wanted good work done and he said he would have my truck looking brand new. so I the picked my truck up on Nov. 6, 2015 but it was given to me it was night so I did not notice anything nor did Loren say anything to me, so when I noticed my truck was not properly fixed correctly then next day, I then immmediately called Loren and expressed my concerns with the paint not matching, it looking like someone had just sprayed painted my truck and there was also dents left in the bumper, the doors, both panels and my windows & most of the inside interior was covered with buffing compound and windows had clear coat over spray. He then said for me to to take my truck inn and he agreed to correct these issues, so then after a week I called Loren to check on the progress of my truck and he stated he was still buffing, so then I then called another professional body shop owner to ask for an opion, I then asked him to inspect the quality of Lorens job, he then advised me that everything done incorrectly, which include not replacing panels, paint not matching, runs in the clear coat, dry spray, orange peel left on wet sanded, dents were also left unfinished and final buff job was incomplete due to the fact he said it would not cure correctly so a haze in the paint is persistanly is coming through which is due to a oem spec paint and clear coat. I then kept calling to have my truck returned after having my truck from Oct 19, 2015 thru Nov.6,2015 and then again for the 2nd time from 11-9-2015 thru 11-25-2015, after having this proffesional tell me these things I then asked Loren that I would then take my truck elsewhere to have it done correctly but he would be responsible for the job to be completed correcty at his expense, then then refused to agree with my propersoition and then refused to return my truck to me, I then had to have the police involved because he wouldnt give my truck back to me and he also wanted me to sign a sheet stating I was accepting my truck as is, which I refused to sign.

This company called us out to repair one of the trucks for them.  When it was completed the driver followed us back to our shop to take care of payment.  When we got here instead of pulling into our lot, he pulled out in front.  We are on a four lane road, with no parking on the...

streets.  The owner of that company kept telling us he didn't have any way to pay, however, his driver said he had both Comdata Checks and a Company Credit Card on him.  Both of which we take. I had also given him the information to wire transfer the money to us.  And after a while he called back and said he couldn't do that either, there wasn't anything he could do he had no way to pay us.  Knowing he did have a way to pay and his refusal to move the truck out of the lane of traffic let us know he just didn't want to pay the bill.  The driver did tell us that he does this all the time.  However, our policy is to not let the truck leave until payment is made.  After more than two hours of the truck being parked in the lane of traffic out front, the police department asked us to get it moved.  We asked the driver repeatedly to move it into the lot til we get the payment situation worked out.  The owner told him NOT to move the truck in our lot.  He was asked more than 10 times to move it.  When it was clear they refused to move it out of the lane of traffic we had to call in a Big Wrecker to get it off the street.  All of the extra expense for the wrecker could have been avoided if he had just allowed the truck to be moved into the parking lot.   He caused the big wrecker to be called and the charge is owed.  He is the one, it might be noted, that told us to contact the police so they would vouch for him that he owed us and would return.  However, when we called them, they would NOT vouch for him.

Review: Lorens Auto body shop was paid to fix damages on my 2011 Chevy Silverado from a claim that was paid through my Geico Insurance, Lorens Auto body failed to complete work after he was paid and then I took my truck back to give him the opportunity to correct the issue, he failed again to complete the job again, he had my truck for 3wks, more than enough time to repaint and fix damages but he didn't do so and he also refused to return my truck back so I then had to contact the Oshkosh Police Dept to get involve and contact Loren to return my truck back to me. Not only did he fail to complete or fix the damages on my truck but also created more damages to my truck while trying to paint my truck without covering my windos or closing my doors, there is primer spraying all inside my doors and also on my leather seats. Loren has caused more damages to my truck than he did fixing, my truck needs to be redone and also fix all the damages he caused while painting my truck.Desired Settlement: I would like to have Lorens pay for my truck to be repainted by a professional body shop and also would like him to pay for my seats to be replaced along with the the inside panels of my doors due to him trying to paint my truck without covering the windows or shutting my doors. I has given him the opportunity to correct this but failed to do so, therefor I would like to have my truck fixed somewhere.
