Lorenzo's Pizza

Review: The service at this establishment is extremely unprofessional! My boyfriend and I received a flyer for the business in the mail and decided to try it for the first time. We ordered two pizzas on 4/18/2014, the delivery driver came smelling of marijuana and both pizza boxes had a foul smell like cat urine. We did attempt to take a bite of the pizza thinking that maybe it was something from outside, but the smell was more pungent once the boxes were in our home and the product had a sharp distinct aftertaste. We immediately called back and a young woman on the phone offered to give a replacement product or a refund, due to the health concern we agreed that a refund would suffice. We immediately threw the pizza away in our apartment dumpster to avoid having the smell linger in our apartment. Today (4/25/2014) a week later, there is no sign of a refund in my boyfriends bank account so we called back and the woman (this time who claimed to be a manager) insisted that they don't give refunds and if we don't like their pizza we just should not order from there anymore. She made up numerous excuses insinuating that we were lying, that there wasnt a young girl who worked there and that she doesnt remember us calling about the issue even though we have phone records to prove that we did. I have worked in a retail pharmacy for 10 yrs and I have never had anyone say all of the ridiculous things that this "manager" told me:

- "how am I supposed to pay my employees?"

- "do you want me to give you a business 101 class?"

- " I have been to many restaurants and if I dont like something I just dont go there anymore"

- "we are friends with the police down the street, I will charge you with harrassment"

There was no sense of sympathy or remorse and the manager clearly is not willing to give us the refund.Desired Settlement: We simply want a refund of the monies paid ($20). We have no desire to do future business with this company and we would like to make it as simple as possible for both parties involved.
