Review: LorNat Inc entered into contract with us in early June 2014, to do general contracting work in one room and a tile shower/bath. The contract was for $11,500.00 with a start date of 6/17/14 and a 'sufficiently' complete date of 6/30/14. The contract was signed on 6/11/14 with a deposit of $6000. Work was begun, foundation laid for the non-bathroom, by 6/30, the effort was not sufficiently complete. A 1 week extension was given for them to completer the bath, by 7/8, a second extension was granted, by 7/15 we still did not have a sufficiently complete tile shower bath. On August 27 I mailed them a letter requesting we part ways. That they did not deliver the substantially completed bath and the work that was done was of very poor quality. On August 29 I received a phone call from Manuel Greullo representing LorNat, stating that I had an outstanding invoice that was over 60 days overdue and that if I did not pay it immediately they were going to take me to court and sue for the amount due, at that time it was $5,500. Since that date there were 2 additional calls, letters, etc... A second contract came over to see what we needed only to find that the tile was not applied correctly in the shower area, the walls behind the tile were not waterproofed, the floor was unlevel, and the list goes on. At this time we have to completely gut the work that was done. When I think that they have threatened to sue me and see the mess they made and the sloppy work they did it does not seem right.Desired Settlement: The time they spent not doing the job has impacted us severely. We had foam insulation blown in by USA insulation that had to be torn out (cost for that room is unknown), the window they moved allowed rain in causing mold and mildew, the drywall they used was not meant for bathrooms. Now we have to re-do much of the work. Even though we did not pay the $5,500 initially stated, the cost of the plumber was $2065 and all of that work has to be redone. At Least $3000 to redo the bath.
