Review: I am filing a complaint against Dr. Lorraine Walker for the reason that during my office visit on Monday, June 8th I was told my deductible had not been met and the amount owed against my deductible was $500. Due to this occurance I would need to pay for my services in full which amounted to $275. I spoke with [redacted] and asked where she uncovered this informtation as this did not seem accurate. She proceeded to tell me this was directly coming from Aetna and she checked multiple times and I needed to pay the amount of $275. I asked if I could make several phone calls to clarify this issue and was not sucessful in getting through. Meanwhile, [redacted] stood there anxiously waiting to collect the money. I had a meeting in Newport Beach to get to at 12:30 and did not have time to sit there and battle this charge. I then paid the amount of $275.00 on my Visa card. When I left the office I was able to get in contact with my Aetna provider [redacted] and was told my family deductible had been met and the only charge I should have paid was my $25.00 copay. I had [redacted] reach out to the office and she spoke with [redacted] and clarified the situation and explained I was billed incorrectly and should only pay my copay of $25 as the rest would be billed through my insurance. Following my 12:30 meeting I returned to the office to resolve this billing issue in person and [redacted] explained she wrote a sicky note for [redacted] the billing coordinator to fix this. I asked what time [redacted] would be available and she said 3pm. I returned home and contacted my insurance provider again and had them reach out to [redacted] and they could not get past [redacted] who said she was with patients.[redacted] was not able to provide and turnaround or follow up time which left my contact with Aetna uncomfortable. This office charged me for $275 which I did not owe them and they are not adequatly providing me with the refund I am owed. I need to be refunded immediatly as this is fraud. I am owed $250 by this office as I only owe them my $25 copayDesired Settlement: Refund my Visa card $250 immediatly as I should only be paying my $25 copay. Bill my insurance provider Aetna for my visit and if I owe anything additional following my insurance being billed please send me an invoice in the mail.
