We were referred to DrPatel by Dr**, our dentist in Lorton VA Since we routinely receive superb service from Dr**, we assumed her referral would be a sound one, however we quickly learned that was a bad assumption Dr** recommended removal of my son ***'s remaining wisdom teeth Normally Dr** contacts our insurance for pre-authorization and advises us exactly of what our portion of the bill well before any proposed work, and if we agree, proceed with scheduling the work This is a transparent process It turns out DrPatel is not "in network with any medical insurance" therefore cannot reasonably estimate what our insurance will pay and expected us to pay $for the extractions Not only is that price extremely above average, but her office failed to even provide this estimate until the night before the proposed extraction!!! There was no way we were willing to pay twice the average price for this procedure so we cancelled the a
