I am rejecting this response because:It is ludicrousIf the store owner wanted to inspect the product, I would be glad to bring it to the store, where they could easily tell that the product has not been touchedI have a master's degree in public health and over years experience in both health care and public health education and would NEVER attempt to return a personal product that I had used to anyoneThe store clearly doesn't want to provide responsive and honesty in its engagement with its consumersThe fact that the business was supposedly sold a week after my purchase says a lot

Dear Anita,On February 1st, 2014 Lotus Blooms was purchased by [redacted] and [redacted]. As such, we were not the owners of Lotus Blooms on 1/25/2014 when [redacted] visited Lotus Blooms.In speaking with the sales representative, a no return policy is and was posted at the register as well as on the website..Since we have purchased the store we have added the return policy to our receipts, our signage upon entering the store, and the policy continues to be posted at our register and on our website.While I understand this clients desire to return the product, adult novelties cannot be returned as they cannot be resold. While the client states the package has not been opened, we have no way of confirming this since packaging can be easily opened and resealed. Thus, to ensure the safety and confidence of our patrons, we must have a no return policy for our products.We hope this resolves the issue as we do want to ensure each patron has a positive experience with our store.Warm Regards,

Review: I purchased a product from Lotus Blooms on Saturday, January 25, 2014. As I drove home, I decided that I didn't want the product. When I got home, I checked the receipt to see if there was a return policy printed on it and there wasn't was either on the credit card receipt or on the yellow sales transaction record. The only language printed on the receipt is on the bottom and it reads "KEEP THIS SLIP FOR REFERENCE". The item was in its original, unopened packaging and in the same black bag that the sales person packaged it in. I returned to the store on Sunday, January 26, 2014 and attempted to return the product. The sales person told me that the item was not returnable and pointed to a sign that was behind me off to the side. She had a smug expression on her face as if to say,"I got you". When I returned home, I checked for a return policy on Lotus Blooms website and there was none on January 26th. I found an email address on Lotus Blooms website and sent an email explaining that Lotus Blooms had not informed me that the item could not be returned. I received an email from [redacted] who apologized but said that the item couldn't be returned because customers would be upset. She also made some reference to a health issue, which was ludicrous because the container had never been opened. I believe that Lotus Blooms had a right to make customer aware of its return policy or I should say lack of, by prominently posting signage in its store (not one sign that is not on the transaction counter and also include language stamped on its receipt, as do most retailers with similar restrictive policies.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund and for the store to post its return policy on its transaction counter, throughout the store and on its website. Similar organizations that sell sexual health products have their return policies fully disclosed on their websites and on their receipts.

I am rejecting this response because:It is ludicrous. The store clearly doesn't want to provide responsive and honesty in its engagement with its consumers. The fact that the business was supposedly sold a week after my purchase says a lot.
