signed the Lotus customer receipt#***(Please see attached).Lotus got her permission to installed the Lotus seat , and she paid the credit card through the phone
Based on the return and refund policy, *** ** singed Lotus customer receipt and accept Lotus return and refund policy, so Lotus can't accept her returns
*** ** also disputed her transaction by Merchant bank@9/24/2014, Lotus responded Merchant Bank @10/1/2014, Merchant back rejected her dispute and credit the payment back to Lotus @10/14/2014, please see all the respond documents attached

Review: I have purchased a toilet seat. When I first learned this toilet seat was from their advertisement, all the documentation shows the toilet seat can ease constipation. It can break up hardened feces and allowing for smooth and regular bowel movements.

Following is the description of this toilet seat:

Special nozzle produces a focused water stream that helps the bowels to move completely and effortlessly. The PureStream effectively softens and loosens stool to ease constipation. relieving strained bowel movements. No more straining bowel movement!

A motorized nozzle sends a concentrated stream of clean water into the rectal vault, breaking up hardened feces and allowing for smooth and regular bowel movements.

The company also provided many testimony on TV and on Internet that prove the product is really effective to cure this problem.

All above is the reason that convinced me to purchase their product. After 2 weeks try, it really don’t show any effective result as what they described. I am still suffering under constipation. This toilet seat is useless to me. I talked to the company, I want to return it, but the lady said, their policy shows: once the product has installed they can't make any refund. But if I don't try how should I know the result.Desired Settlement: If merchant promise to give me a refund I will return the product to them.

Review: I ordered the bidet toilet seat from Lotus Hygiene Systems Inc. (1621 E Saint Andrew Pl, Santa Ana, CA 92705 ###-###-#### ) on 02/19/2014 by phone and received the product on 02/26/2014. On the week of March 10, my contractor installed the seat. He found that the seat was too big for my toilet and made a cracking sound every time someone sat on it.

When I purchased the item, Lotus’ website claimed that it would fit a 19.4” or less round toilet in the product description. The page is here: https://www.lotusseats.com/lang_english/installation.html. I have also attached a screenshot of the product description where it clearly states that the seat should fit round toilet bowl 19.4” or less. When I called them for order, they asked me what size of my toilet was and I told them it is about 18.5”. They told me that most was 19”, but mine would still fit. Imaging who will buy a $600 toilet seat if they told you it would not fit and make cracking sound.

On the week of March 10, I called Lotus and asked for return if they couldn’t solve the problem. That week they sent their technician to Lowe’s to find out, and they told me a 19” Kohler toilet would fit their product. This time my contractor measures my toilet and told me my own toilet is the 19” not 18.5” that I thought it was, and it is the same Kohler brand. So there shouldn’t be any reason to buy another 19” Kohler toilet. (Although, seeing as on their website they said the seat would fit toilet “19.4 inches or LESS,” I don’t even see what the problem would be even if it was.)

On March 19, I called and emailed Lotus, and told them mine is 19” too, not previously assumed 18.5” and attached the picture of my Kohler toilet that clearly show it measures 19”. I told them buying another 19” Kohler toilet would not work and asked for their tech support again. They didn’t return either my call or email. On March 29th, I asked for return again. This time, they called and sent me an email and said it was past 30 days and refused to allow me to return the product.

In summary, Lotus misrepresented the product initially when they claimed it would fit a 19" toilet. I asked for a return on the week of March 10, if lotus couldn’t solve the mismatch problem. I ask for return again on March 29 after they failed to solve the problem.

I have repeated called and emailed them the problem before the 30 day return policy, and they said they can not accept the return once the seat is installed. I bought and installed the product since I had no reason not to believe it wouldn’t fit my toilet as per their product description and after calling them to make sure. It is true that their policy is to not accept returns after installation, but in my case they misrepresented the product to me and this should be considered false advertising, which violates both Federal advertising law and California unfair competition law (Business and Professions Code §§ 17200 et seq. cu).

Further, when they realized that the problem was not on my end, they ignored my calls and email. They took advantage of my not keep recording of email and phone exchage and send a copy of my last email to American Express and claimed I only asked for return on March 29th and it pass their return policy date This is extremely unprofessional and dodgy at the very least.

I attached the two that show the mismatch and the measurement of my toilet. I also attached a picture of the newly installed toilet seat I bought from Home Depot that perfectly fit my toilet.

I hope you will stop Lotus false ads, unprofessional conduct and help me to return this unfit product to them.

I contacted Lotus within 30 days after receive the toilet seat (see attached email dated March 19). Lotus told me they could not accept the return since it was installed.
