Lotus Productions Reviews (3)

Organizers, such as myself, pursue advertising to create an influx of trafficWe have no control over foot traffic despite our effortsEspecially if there are many events of the same type in the cityIt says in our contract - welcome letter, no refundsShe exhibitedShe was there all dayBoth
showsRefunds are never given by any organizer/producer of any event EVER! The idea of exhibiting is you always take a risk, good or bad, that's the nature of this industry and yes, the foot traffic at 50% of most events has lessenedI am not the only one who experiences thisThere is just too much competition in this industryPeople are prone to complaining to just get their way.Let me address her other claimsWe have a $ raffle at all our shows The idea of the raffle is to help a needy familyIf nobody participates in that raffle, we have no control over that eitherHence, no money was taken inShe has not contributed? A food drive was in progress at my November showWe did not receive any food items from the vendors nor this claimant or the publicIt went completely unacknowledgedMy heart is always in the right place, but if people don't comply, I have no control over that eitherSo she has no right to even question that part of the showI can corroborate all my advertising pursuitsShe was also asked to help promote the show which they all doShe did not contribute This woman is just upset because she did not have a good dayI stand by my ethics, and policiesI am a good person, and not a "stealer" of money like she claims? What a ridiculous statementI have attached the welcome letter which clearly states everything they are to comply withIt clearly states "no refunds"It clearly states to "help with promotion, and food drive".In short, all her complaints are unfoundedI rest my case.By the way, I cancelled my April event because I see the industry changing so dramatically and I don't want to go through this garbage again.L*** *** - Lotus Productions

First of all, she is grasping at straws here. Extending the complaint to include something that is not her business. She did not give any donation at all. So that part of her complaint is not going to even be given any further comment at all. It is my prerogative to say, in my written plans for the show, "Going to a needy family" if the funds had been raised, but they were not. This vendor is just looking for things to keep this complaint going.I stand by my ethics, moral obligation, honesty and integrity in planning my shows as I see fit and in accordance to making sure advertising and promotion were implemented. Again, I have no control over foot traffic and every organizer goes through this at one time or another.I sent my welcome letter to you. It clearly outlines my policies, vendor participation requests and no refunds. Period. She was there. The whole day. Both shows. We did have traffic, but she is complaining, because it was not enough to warrant making any sales. I have no control over that either.Consider the source of someone that would do this to someone. Relentless, evil, selfish, entitled individual that would do this to one person. She did not complain the first show she did with me in September? She is just now complaining after the second show. We had people, its not like nobody came, but she was unhappy with the traffic. I had people who did well. I can corroborate that.Does she do this at every show she exhibits at if the traffic is less than satisfactory???? File a complaint on that organizer with Revdex.com. I see her at other shows and traffic is sometimes slow and sometimes plentiful, it just depends on whats going on that same weekend.  In close, I am not keeping this toxic, unfair, unjust  and deliberate claim and conversation going. I have high blood pressure and she is contributing to making me feel ill.I stand by what I say, which is the truth. I'm firm in my convictions that she has unjustly filed this complaint. She has complained about issues that are not her business, especially since she was not a participant in. And to question my words, my actions, with out fact, and how I conduct my giving to others, is beyond my comprehension.

I am rejecting this response because: L[redacted] simply continues to try to bamboozle her way out of her obligations.  She stated that I did not promote her event  I surely did promote her event (s) by: adding her to my website, online calendar, handing out postcards at every event I attended prior to hers.Promoted on linked-in and twitter. Friends and family also promoted for me I added you to my FB personal and business page AND did a FB promotion to get people to your events for both events ! I was one of the dozen or so vendors and didn't give up and leave mid way through the day. I stayed all day,. I stuck it out Both days to the very end.  I offered my donation in person by walking to her front table at the first event with my donation in hand only to be told bu an elderly woman that they would send someone over to "collect my item" soon-it never happened.    The disappointment from other vendors was very clear.  It wasn't until I did a smaller, church sponsored event this weekend and ran into some of the other vendors who she had talked into her past events did I hear and see the extent of the thievery. Many vendors when they saw that she were up in arms that  she would even try to get them at another event of yours.  Several vendors approached the person running the event at the church to ask that she be asked to leave. Other vendors have been threatened by L[redacted]( Please see attached).   not to say anything about her level of deceit or she would sue them for defamation of character. One of which she had a letter sent to threatening to sue her. Another when she saw a response to another vendors question of "have you done events with L[redacted] before? Private message me with your experience" L[redacted] again Publicly on facebook threatened to sue her.  I have received three emails from her. I have had to block her from my social media to keep her from trying to poach my friends for events.  I do not want to say anything on social media about anyone, I simply do not want them to have to go through what I have with her.  I have asked her to refund my money and other than that to stop harassing me.    We all work hard to get our events scheduled, be there all day, advertise and on it goes. We lose when events are less than what is promised. It is my view that agreements work both ways.  If L[redacted] did in deed do all the things she said she did I would like to see proof of these things.  This is not just me, one vendor, others who thought it was only them or those who she has hounded and threatened simply so not want to speak up.  I had the sense after this past event that they may out of sheer frustration.  By the way, a welcome letter is normally something you send to welcome someone who has joined an event you are hosting. Further, I did not sign a contract to an agreement.  I paid L[redacted] to promote and run an event at which she indicated repeatedly that she was doing extensive advertising for.  This is not what happened.    Would you like a list of vendors from this last event to speak to?  I am sure they would be happy to speak with you.  If it is the conclusion of the Revdex.com that a refund is not in order, I would simply ask that my comments be made public.
Regards,
C[redacted]
