Definitively the worst hotel experience I have ever had
When I checked in I was given an exterior "motel type" room that required me to completely exit the hotel to enter my roomAnd to make matters worse, there was NO working exterior lighting in the outside corridor leading to my room so we had to use our cell phones as lights to get safely to our room after dark!!! I was not comfortable with this arrangement since my husband was not with me and despite the fact that it appeared that there were dozens of empty "interior rooms" that they could move me to, hotel management refused, and told me to check out if I didn't like my roomI then called the Clarion chain directly and they tried to intervene on my behalf but finally advised me to check out because local management/owner was "uncooperative"!?! Because I was here with my son's entire baseball team, I did not have that option so attempted to make the best of it
My room had no towels whatsoever and no shampoo, just one bar of soap, body lotion, and conditionerWhen I went to the front desk, the employee basically accused me of lying and literally threw a handful of shampoo bottles and soaps at meMy son and I were able to gather some towels from the gym and a housekeeping cart or we would never have gotten a single towel
Then, not a single lamp in my room had working lightbulbs and despite repeated requests for replacement light bulbs, I had to sit in the lobby and refuse to leave until they brought me replacement bulbsAfter a replacing all the bulbs, I found out that the main floor lamp didn't work at all and despite carrying the entire lamp all the way to the lobby over my shoulder, the employee told me there were no other lamps in the hotel and advised me to check out if I was unhappy A simple walk around just the 1st floor rooms around the pool revealed at least 5-empty rooms from which they could have given me a lampWhen I again requested a replacement lamp (the room has only built in light), the employee again told me that I could check out if I was unhappy and only after I made a huge fuss about how dark my room was and that I was here with an entire team and could not leave, she angrily told me to take a small table lamp from the lobby Worst hotel, worst customer service, and worst experience ever!!!
