Review: On June [redacted] Llouis Constraction provided me with a written proposalto due certain work in a basement bath room. The work included take out walls, provide a new frame install new panel replace the door removethe sink and install crown molding. The job was agreed at $ 1000.00 ofwhich I paid him $ 400.00 for supplies (not purchased was the panelling,plumbing fixtures and the door) The job was to be compled on June [redacted] in which I took a day off from work. When the job began [redacted] complained that the work was too much and that he required additional money for demalation and that the job should have been more than 5 times the price quoted. This is rediclus this is not a big job a bathroom 5' x 7' after he started the work all I heard was complaints when in fact he previously removed panelling to see the wall behind the panel prior to performing any work and new quite well the work involved. Now I am at a loss of $ 700.00 paid to him and the work remains incomplete now I need to find someone else to complete the job he started. He also want $ 300.00 for trash removal over and above the revised price.Desired Settlement: I am therefore, requesting a full refund of $ 700.00 since I need to hire someone to come in and complete the job [redacted] started. I have tried to contact [redacted] several times by phone and not once has he retuned any of my calls. His license # is [redacted] which claims that he will guarantee his work with over 25 years of experience. I have a signed bill detailing all of the work which he promised and the payments made to him are noted as cash.

Good Morning [redacted], - I am in receipt of your latest notice and I can inform you that I have not been contacted by Louis Construction Inc. in spite of the many attempts that I have made to resolve the problem. I have also filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs who has since informed me that Louis Construction does not have a valid license and will be fined by them.

I am at a loss of recovering my $700.00 paid to him based on a signed contract agreement. Therefore, any assistance that you can continue to lend to resolve this matter would be greatly appreciated. Louis Construction feels that they are above the law and can do what they like without facing any consequences. This is quite unfortunate as I am sure there are other clients

having faced similar situations with Louis Construction however, not sure how to proceed.

Review: In Dec *,2012, [redacted] from LLouis Constraction Inc stopped by my Mom's house ( [redacted] ) to give us an estimate for outside home repairs. My mom gave him a total of $300.00 deposit to start the work. He was supposed to start the following week. We told him we need the services completed by Christmas. He never showed up and I've been calling numerous times to see when he will come by. He never returned my phone calls and we even stopped by at his house ( [redacted] ) but he was never home.

We are trying to have him return the deposit so that we can hire someone else to do the work.Desired Settlement: We want him to return my phone calls and return the deposit.
