Louis Ferre

Review: Greetings. I have been purchasing Louis Ferre NRC001HM Natural Root Construction Hand Tied 14 Human Hair (18/22) wigs for many years. My consumer expectations are reasonable as I have purchased at least six of these wigs and am familiar with this product. The quality of the last wig I purchased did not compare with the quality of previous wigs. The hair on the current wig is much coarser and frizzier than previous wigs. This did not become apparent until the wig had been worn and washed. New wigs are treated with chemical processing that makes them silky and smooth. Customers will not know how the hair will turn out until it has been washed. By that time, there is no recourse. While my older Louis Ferre wigs continue to be silky and smooth, the new wig seems to get coarser and frizzier over time. The usual reasons do not apply as my wigs are never exposed to heat, excess sun, excess wear or harsh detergents. I suspect the hair source was changed. I have tried expensive wig conditioners, but nothing works. My NEWEST Louis Ferre wig should not look/feel worse than my older Louis Ferre wigs.

When I first contacted Louis Ferre I was instructed to direct any issues to their reseller, however, the reseller could do nothing as this is a quality control issue with Louis Ferre. As mentioned earlier, the system is set up so that there is no recourse once the wig has been washed and worn. In other words, a customer will not discover the true nature of the hair until the chemical processing has been washed out and by that time it is "too late."Desired Settlement: I would like this wig professionally conditioned and repaired.
