I’m an experienced sales and entertainment professional. A man named Terry scheduled an interview with me when I responded to his ad. I asked for the name saying I wanted to do research before the Interview. I was surprised when he seemed to scoffed at me over the phone, but I kept the appointment anyway. I was fully expecting to give a detailed resume, but instead I was handed a clipboard with not only a credit check, which I did not sign, but a paper application which had been carlelessly photocopied so many times it was difficult to read, and so crookedly I had to tilt the clipboard at about a 45* angle to fill it out. I wondered why they were doing things this way. I sat down to interview with the gentleman, and immediately I became aware of that he was using a canned script, which is very easy to pick out. I’m sure the expression on my face was confused, because I wondered why he was going with a canned script and wasn’t just having a conversation with me. I tried to find out if he was trying to get me to do door-to-door sales, but he just refused to give information. He said many rehearsed lines. for instance “lemme ask you a silly question, who do you know that’s got furniture?” This is a very old form of sales, that’s called a leading question, he has said this exact line repeatedly, I assure you, in his recruiting. He said that you’d go in a van with a manager and ride around in a neighborhood and go to preset appointments. I tried to find out where these appointments came from. He says “well I have that ladies go around an offer a gift for setting an appointment.” Go around? What’s that but door to door? Just say so! So I said “what do you mean they offer a gift?” and he said “they are in the van they go in offer a gift” and I said, so then you go in? He said yes I said well you’re saying appointments like to give the impression that this is happening in the future but these aren’t appointments if a person goes in right behind, it’s door-to-door sales! He again use another canned phrase citing a fail rate of 50% of appointments want meet “so call them dis-appointments” When I told him I would have to think about it, he said well I wasn’t going to offer you the position anyway. I said you mind tellin me why? He said because your body language, you rolled your eyes. I said, well I am sure that you have use those phrases many times, and I thought we were just going to have more of a conversation but you’re using a script with me, and I was not expecting that.” Not once did he mention that this was a Kirby distributorship or how they have done this style sales since inception (even though it’s dying). Strangely he did brag by saying that Warren Buffet had bought the company, but his front door LCS Kenner. But Buffet doesn’t own LCS. The F-13 filing required by Berkshire Hathaway’s (Buffet’s holding Co.) does not show ownership them. He did not once disclose that they were a distributorship for Kirby. Really skirting the edge of deceptive.I found that out anything relevant only by digging deeper online. If you wanna brag, then be UPFRONT and brag. It’s very shady to withhold these kinds of details, because what else are you withholding? And why? You want salespeople who won’t question you because you wanna “shove product” down people’s throats, and I won’t fall for that. These archaic sales tactics are dead. This is the information sales age, the time of secrets is OVER. Transparency is what works, for employees. For customers. I completely disagreed with his choice to not be authentic with me. I should’ve known as soon as I saw that crooked paper application. Hit the mark for the whole interview as it turns out. Thank you for reading.

In Reference to Mrs. [redacted]'s complaint; Upon picking up Mrs. [redacted]'s cancelled Kirby, the represenative also returned Mrs. [redacted]'s Shark vacuum (that was tagged with her information) as well as her down payment check in the amount of $1,000.  Thus our office closing out that...

cancellation as completed.  Mrs. [redacted] then called back the following week claiming that was not her Shark they returned, Mrs. [redacted] was informed any and all trade in vacuums are tagged with the customers name, info, and date of purchase immediately by the Service Department.  This is done to ensure that the correct vacuum is pulled for cancellations.  When speaking to Mrs. [redacted] we did notify her that we can have our Service Department go through all the Shark trade ins to double check & call her back.  Our Service Department went through all our vacuum trade ins this past weekend to double check for Mrs. [redacted], and they did not find any Sharks that were not tagged nor any sharks matching her description.  We Spoke to Mrs. [redacted] this Monday and explained we did not find any Sharks that matched that description nor even untagged.  But, as a goodwill gesture we would be happy to send a representative out there to her home with a couple options for her to choose which ever one she likes best.  Mrs. [redacted] said okay that Fridays & Saturdays works best for her so, our representative is scheduled today between 2pm - 4pm.  Thank you, [redacted]Louisiana Cleaning Systems

+1

We had this horrible stain on our beige carpet, it was rust. A sales representative offered to clean our carpet and my husband took him up on the offer. Truly, I thought I would have to replace the carpet and was surprised that 100% of the stain came out! The salesman was so dedicated and proud of the product. We purchased the vacuum from him for a fair price. The vacuum has worked well with no problems. My husband does use our lightweight vacuum first and then comes behind it with the kirby. The kirby system is a little complicated but I've enjoyed it once I got use to it. Plus, our purchase helped the salesman and I liked that too, that their company helps college students and struggling individuals who aren't afraid of hard work make a living.

In response to Mrs[redacted]'s response:
My General Manager was able to get this customer on the phone to get the amount she paid for the Shark refunded to her.
Thank you again,

Response to Mrs[redacted]:
First and foremost I want to
apologize for the frustration you have incurred. Unfortunately that was the case and all the
Department Managers were on the Trip that they won from the Company last week,
however you being put off for that time is still un-acceptable.
We have sent a Service
Representative out to Mrs[redacted] home in George town on 6/12/15, he was
unable to fix the machine there in her home without ordering parts therefore
leaving a Kirby Loaner so she can still vacuum & clean until her machine is
fully fixed.
As far as the credit reporting we
have run into some issues with the 3rd party reporting that
information in a timely manner, leaving us in the same boat as Mrs[redacted] and that is awaiting them to take care of it on their end. In the mean time for her records I sent the
Service Representative that came out to her home with a Credit Letter
Referencing her good standing account
Thank you for your understanding in this matter,

Great costumer service!

Review: On Sunday, April 26, 2015, representatives for the company was at my resident. They were demonstrating the Kirby vacuum. On that day I decided to purchase the vacuum, but later that night my fiance and I decided that we did not want to purchase the vacuum and asked me if we can return it. I went over the paperwork and read that I had until April 29, 2015 to cancel the transaction. On April 27, 2015 I sent a certified letter to the company with my signature and also the paperwork that I had to fill out. On April 28, 2015, I called the Louisiana Cleaning System and told them that I wanted to cancel the transaction. An appointment was made for May 01, 2015 to pick up the vacuum and at that time I was to receive my vacuum that I had traded in. The contract stated that within 10 days everything would be return to me. The vacuum that was returned to me on May, 01, 2015 was not the vacuum that I traded in. I called several times asking when will I receive my vacuum. Someone was suppose to deliver the vacuum on May 14, 2015, but did not show. Today is day 17 since I cancel and I still have not receive my vacuum.Desired Settlement: I would like to have MY vacuum returned to me or replace.

In Reference to Mrs. [redacted]'s complaint;

Nice to see a local company that stands behind their product. Great customer service from start to finish.

Review: My husband and I purchased a vaccum cleaner (Kirby) from this company last year. We we're promised this purchase would be applied towards our credit because we are making payments on it, 36 to be exact. I have contacted several people about applying the payments to my credit, but every time I call I am told "My supervisor is on a trip" or "He will call you back" and he has twice but my problem is not being handled. The few times he did call me back he asks me to give him a week or so to 'work on it' and he promises to call me back. This has been going on for about 8 months now and I still have no answer nor are the payments being applied towards my credit as of last Friday when our credit was checked via another company to make a purchase. Also my husband called two weeks ago about getting someone to come service the vaccum we purchased from Louisiana Cleaning Service and they have yet to call someone out even though we were told that would be done last Wednesday. When I called on Thursday I was told once again "My supervisor is on a trip that they 'won' and will not be back on Friday. I asked her to have him call me back but he has yet to do so. My husband and I are beyond agitated with this company and their way of 'handling customer problems'. I called seven different times today with no answer. Please help!Desired Settlement: I want this purchase/payments applied to our credit as promisedI want the vaccum cleaner fixedI would like to have future problems (hopefully there won't be any) handled better and in a faster time frame.
