[redacted]They did not repair the leak, it is obvious someone is not experienced with leaks, it is a 4/12 pitch roof, on low slope roofs it is common for wind to drive water beneath flashings therefore most companies either ensure the flashings are extended far enough or they seal with a quality roof caulk. The repair person who came out did not caulk the issue causing the leak, an insufficient flange beneath the furnace flue and it still leaks, they also did not reseal where they tucked the tarp under the shingles and damaged one shingle. They also did not call my [redacted] to tell her when they would send someone to evaluate and fix her ceiling, that still has water above it and now likely mold not to mention a water stain 3' across and worsening. It is very disturbing that a company would reply as they did and disregard the fact they created a safety hazard that could have cost my [redacted] and her family their lives by covering a furnace flue, not to mention the lack of any reply to any of the calls other than "that is production and I'll tell them" for 6 phone calls. It really is a shame because it appears these are 30 year IKO shingles, and overall the original installation is good with nailing in proper areas and cut ins performed well other than cutting too tight against vents in areas not allowing for expansion/contraction as required by the manufacturer and not installing sufficient ventilation for the roof warranty to the manufacturer which can cause blistering and loss of warranty. This caulking issue is elementary, however, it appears elementary is too difficult for them. If they do not remedy quickly I will hire an outside company on an urgent basis and pay the higher fee then sue for the costs. I will not be waiting long due to their lack of profesionalism. And as far as not being their client? I am the co-signer for the home, so yes, I am also their client because the roof was part of the sale of the home with a transferable warranty.
