Louisville Tractor, Inc. Reviews (1)

[redacted] Inc. ([redacted]), dropped off a John Deere 250 Skid Steer Loader SN T00250A930177 with 320 hrs. on February 27, 2015. The customer stated that when you turn the key on the 15 amp fuse blows immediately, Mr. [redacted] picked up the Skid Steer Loader on April 14, 2015.
Upon...

inspection, the customer had attempted to repair the machine. It was partially disassembled. Had to push the unit into the shop because it was not running upon arrival. All of the parts were in the cab. We had to reassemble the unit to determine the cause of the problem and repairs needed. The unit had wiring that was cut and spliced. There was an extension cord routed through the cab and hooked up to the safety harness. Most of the safety switches were either bypassed or completely disconnected. The equipment needs a new wiring harness. It also needs a new seat switch and seat belts. He declined the new wiring harness and seat switch. After putting back together enough to determine the codes from the EIC board, put electrical system back together the best we could under the conditions. Also when we cleaned out all the mud, rock, dirt and debris we found that all the hydraulic lines in the belly of the unit were rusted and starting to leak. We requested that the customer come see the unit since we had cleaned it and they could now see the same issue we seen. They refused to come look at the machine and requested us not to repair the unit. Had to add oil just to get the unit out of the shop. We wrote on the invoice that no warranty was expressed or implied on this repair due to the customer cutting, removing and bypassing safety features. The only parts used on this machine were fuses, nuts, bolts, washers and oil. All parts were used on this machine. All time assigned to this repair was time actually worked on this machine.
When the customer came to pick up the unit, he wanted to argue about the invoice that his wife had approved. He used foul language with our staff. The technician went out to the machine and explained the work that was completed as well as the other repairs that needed to be completed.
We are sorry that Mr. [redacted] was dissatisfied with his repairs. Proper maintenance is essential for all equipment. It extends the performance of your equipment. However, on the opposite end, when a unit has had little or no maintenance on equipment or safety features are bypassed, it will also shorten the life of the equipment. However, because of the condition of the equipment, we stated on his invoice that we would imply no warranty.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
