[redacted] Inc( [redacted] ***), dropped off a John Deere Skid Steer Loader SN T00250Awith hrson February 27, The customer stated that when you turn the key on the amp fuse blows immediately, Mr [redacted] picked up the Skid Steer Loader on April 14, Upon inspection, the customer had attempted to repair the machineIt was partially disassembledHad to push the unit into the shop because it was not running upon arrivalAll of the parts were in the cabWe had to reassemble the unit to determine the cause of the problem and repairs neededThe unit had wiring that was cut and splicedThere was an extension cord routed through the cab and hooked up to the safety harnessMost of the safety switches were either bypassed or completely disconnectedThe equipment needs a new wiring harnessIt also needs a new seat switch and seat beltsHe declined the new wiring harness and seat switchAfter putting back together enough to determine the codes from the EIC board, put electrical system back together the best we could under the conditionsAlso when we cleaned out all the mud, rock, dirt and debris we found that all the hydraulic lines in the belly of the unit were rusted and starting to leakWe requested that the customer come see the unit since we had cleaned it and they could now see the same issue we seenThey refused to come look at the machine and requested us not to repair the unitHad to add oil just to get the unit out of the shopWe wrote on the invoice that no warranty was expressed or implied on this repair due to the customer cutting, removing and bypassing safety featuresThe only parts used on this machine were fuses, nuts, bolts, washers and oilAll parts were used on this machineAll time assigned to this repair was time actually worked on this machine When the customer came to pick up the unit, he wanted to argue about the invoice that his wife had approvedHe used foul language with our staffThe technician went out to the machine and explained the work that was completed as well as the other repairs that needed to be completed We are sorry that Mr [redacted] was dissatisfied with his repairsProper maintenance is essential for all equipmentIt extends the performance of your equipmentHowever, on the opposite end, when a unit has had little or no maintenance on equipment or safety features are bypassed, it will also shorten the life of the equipmentHowever, because of the condition of the equipment, we stated on his invoice that we would imply no warranty Sincerely, [redacted] Service Manager
