I purchased a puppy online from Lovable Teacup Poodle Puppies in the amount of $750 last week. I read the reviews and it seemed completely legitimate. I paid the amount requested via venmo. I was in contact with someone who I thought was working for the breeder, we only communicated via email or text. I have all of the emails and text messages.
The puppy was supposed to be delivered on Monday, 3/16, and everything seemed fine until I received a call from the transport company that I had to pay an additional $1000 to complete the transfer. Of course, I did not pay that fee but, contacted the person I was dealing with and he told me that the fee had to be paid or the puppy could not be shipped. I requested several times a refund of my money and either do not receive a response or am told that they need to figure out how to get the puppy back from the transport company. I did contact the transport company but, have only received voicemail.
I believe Lovable Teacup Poodle Puppies is a scam and I am not sure how to get my money back at this point. I am a Senior on a fixed income and wanted a companion since I live alone. I feel that I have been taken advantage of at this point.
If there is a way that you can help me I greatly appreciate it.

I have attached the emails regarding the purchase of a teacup poodle in the amount of $750. The puppy was supposed to be delivered on Monday, March 16th however, I received a call from the transport company that an additional $900+ was due to ship the puppy (that email is attached at the very end). You will see in the email chain the response I received from who I thought was a breeder. I was not able to pay the transport fee and requested a refund of my money which was paid via venmo.
I have many text messages but, after Thursday, I did not receive any response regarding a refund. Loveable Teacup Poodles is a scam even though there website does look legitimate.
The person that I dealt with name is *** and he is listed in ***_ the phone number that I have for him is***. He would never speak with me on the phone, even after I left several messages. I also tried to contact the transport company with the number they have listed on their website and it goes right to voicemail.
I want my $750 back and I'm hoping that you can help me with this and notify the public that this is a scam so that no one else is taken advantage of by these people.
I am a senior and live alone, I am on a fixed income but, I wanted a companion and took a chance.
Please let me know if anything additional is needed.
