On 4/4/we sent out an email promotion that was for 20% off a single ItemThe promotion redirected customers to this webpage:

This groomer charged me for expressing my dog's anal gland but didn't do that procedure during the groom. This has happened before with her when I had a broken ankle and my husband was taking my dog in for grooming appointments. The groomer stated I needed to have on his file to express anal glands during appointment otherwise she will not express the glands because its not good for a dog to have them expressed. So I told her to write to always express my dog's glands during grooming appointments. Also, when either I or my husband dropped him off we reminded her. (But I failed to remind her on this last visit.)
The last grooming appointment I picked up my dog and the groomer didn't say anything to me that something was wrong with my dog. His right anal gland was swollen bigger than a red grape but smaller than a small lemon. My dog is a Shih Tzu that weights 13.7 pounds. His behind area was very swollen and I knew something was wrong. The Vet was shocked that the groomer didn't say anything to me. I realize a groomer does not have medical training but she cut the hair on top of this bludge and didn't see it.
I had emailed her about the entire situation at first she told me I had told her NOT to express his glands and so there she did nothing wrong. Later she emailed me to tell me that Oh I mixed his card with another Shih Tzu who doesn't have his glands expressed and that she did express my dog's glands so she still did nothing wrong.
To give the groomer credit, she does a great job a cutting the dog's hair. He always looks wonderful but not alerting me when there is a visible issue going on is a problem. She has been grooming my dog for over 6 years and is very familiar with him.
My advice to future clients is to express your dog's glands and check your dog's behind before picking up your dog. The groomer has a plesant personality and it really sadden me that this all happen because she is a likeable person. After a couple weeks of treatment my dog has recovered, the groomer never asked how he was doing she was all concerned making the point she did nothing wrong.
