I am truyly sorry that [redacted] believes we purposefully withheld information regarding the policy on canceling Gap, Credit Life, or Extended Warranty contracts. That was never our intention. However, I truly do not have records dating back to 2002. If [redacted] would send...
me a list of the vehicle identification numbers to the vehicles in question I will call the insurance companies to inquire about possible policies for her. I have already explained to [redacted] that her lien holder would have sent out notices to her personally (and to the selling dealership) about possible refunds due if she had purchased any of these types of coverages. The lien holder does this as a reminder for the customer. The selling dealership is not allowed to cancle coverage for Gap, Credit Life, or Extended Warranty without the written consent (and proof of payoff) from the customer. Love is NOT trying to deflect responsibility for anything, and feels very bad that [redacted] is so unhappy. Thank you
[redacted] and [redacted] purchased a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 from Love PreOwned AutoCenter on August 26, 2014. At the time of sale Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] asked for Love to replace and pay for 1 tire. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] agreed that they would pay for the cost of a 2nd tire. When they...
brought the truck into the Service Department our Service Advisor began searching for the replacement tires. It was determined at that time that the tires that were on the vehicle (Toyota M/T Open Country tires 35 x 12) were not available any longer. We then asked Mr. [redacted] to look at the comperable tires we could get and let us know which ones he preferred. Mr. [redacted] did not like any of the tires that we had. We told Mr. [redacted] that he was welcome to go to any tire store and see if there were any others he liked. We have not heard back. On September 1st Mr. [redacted] came back in to have us inspect his brakes. He stated they were shaking when slowing down. The service department did a full brake inspection (pads, roaters, and brake test) and the brakes passed inspection at that time. We are still prepared to replace 1 of Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]'s tires, or give them the replacement value and they can purchase it on their own. As for the brakes we would certainly look at them again and invite Mr. [redacted] on the road test with us so that we can make sure we are feeling and hearing exactly what he is experiening.
