Love Pools - [redacted] was hired to install ceramic tile in our master bath, master bath closet, shower conversion and ceiling. Issues bulleted below in order to be concise:Continuous re-dos due to lack of skilled laborer he usedUnsatisfactory work in several areas such as unlevel tiles, incorrect grout, lack of grouted tiles - skipped right over some areas - inconsistent patterning in the grout thickness. Electrician/full contractor handyman doing work asked when we were getting the grout done!![redacted] himself said he was not happy with the job as the person he instructed and left to do the work was his stepsonSaid he had issues with leaving him thinking he was working but wife stated gas all gone in car, job not done properly indicating he likely rushed/lacked doing job, left job site and returned[redacted] himself stated our brand new shower appeared to be ten years old versus brand new and the job was sub par[redacted] himself said he would come and correctApril - no show with several weeks in between[redacted] called and said since job was near finish he needed $1,000 of the $1521 quote to pay his "guys" I gave it to him in cash[redacted] and [redacted] Eventually came back to redo niches which were done so incorrectly!! I had to run a quick errand and told [redacted] that I was leaving the balance of $561 (notice it went up by $40) under a book on the night stand in case I did not make it back to pay them when the job was COMPLETEDI gave them $60 because they said they needed more waterproofing material. I also gave them $20 to purchase metal trim and 2 x 4 to complete wall. I returned from my errand within 30 min bc the place I headed to was closed[redacted] and [redacted] were still working on the niches and not even finished but shaping up - they still had the walls and ceiling to CORRECT. [redacted] on April 15 informed me that he TOOK the money from under the book on my nightstand and paid his guy. WHAT???!!! you had no knowledge of that oney - [redacted] did!! you were not to touch that money unless I did not return by the time you COMPLETED the job. He assured me that job would be completed. However, they left with a promise to return. Never did. days passed before I heard from him. He said he would bring the money back if I wanted. it told him I just wanted the job completed and I wanted a receipt showing my job was paid in full since he TOOK the money!!!! So wrong - that was NOT authorized unless I did not return by the time the job wsa COMPLETED - taking something without authorization and nothing in return is called stealingCame to do some regrouting and said he would returnHis laborer did not do the ceiling properly[redacted] said he knew a drywall person that would come and correct and fix the issue his original laborer did not doweeks passed after several calls he sent someone who came one dayReplacement person did not show back up to finish work left mud, etc.Tiles began to crack, we still had not had the full grout and seal job promised.When two tiles fell from ceiling - notices no waterproofing had been put underneath - this was promised as part of the paid priceSeveral calls to [redacted] in May and JuneAfter the "Im so booked" "Im so busy" I decided to start writing down dates and times of my calls to himthree tiles cracked in the doorway between master bath and closet we looked for impact of someone dropping something but nothing it was a stress crack we could figure it outI called and texted [redacted]. he said he was backed up for two weeks and would try to fit me in. I told him if he did not fit me in by Aug 21 I was filing a Revdex.com complaint and if that didn't resolve as we desired then I would file a small claims. on 8/18 [redacted] said he would try to fit me in. Granted he has been paid to do this job - paid in full. He has not honored his warranted. he has put us on the back burner since April and we have yet been able to use our bathroom take a shower or anything since APRILAfter [redacted] did not comply by Aug 21 We Called [redacted], LLC and received a quote as well as a commitment do the work.I texted [redacted] to let him know We were moving forward. He said he has been sick and couldn't come for a week and was two weeks behind bc of that and would - get this - "try to fit me in". So granted since april he can take on new work but not finish to satisfaction what he has been paid to do. Well I am sorry for his sickness in late August, but what about April, [redacted], June, July and the beginning of august????!!!!!! when I have been trying to get him to resolve this? He texted on 8/24 to say he could come by 8/27. I told him after all these attempts since APRIL and not hearing from him since Aug 18 we have someone already contracted wiht someone that was coming on 8/27. Revdex.com, this is not how you do business!!!!!!!!!!![redacted] came to complete the grouting replace the cracked NEW grouting [redacted] incompetent laborer tried to put in sealed and replaced the cracked tiles - [redacted] of [redacted], LLC stated the where the hardibacker under the ceramic tile was joined together the joints were not taped and sealed so we are likely to have more stress cracks when settling. this is so unfair to us!!!We paid [redacted] to correct the job scrub out - chem clean - the old NEW useless grout [redacted] incompetent laborer attempted to put in and recolor it back to the bone color that the laborer put in.[redacted] was amazed that this was a new shower that had never been used before and was in the condition and sub par work done and that the haridbacker seams undernearth the tile floor had not been seam taped and sealed - more cracks for the futureDesired SettlementWe are requesting the cost it took to re-do the job $765 and for inconvenience of not having a shower since April rounded up to $800 refunded to us by [redacted] of Love Pool Company.Payable to by Sept 30 or we will move forward with out strong case to small claims court[redacted] J [redacted]Business Response love pool co. did always tryed to help miss [redacted] we asked her many times to let us take a look at the issue but she denied access. I did get sick for two weeks but when [redacted] came back to work he talked to ms.[redacted] and he tryed to help but she said that she had hired someone else we asked to go into see the problem she said to not ever go there again. she said she told [redacted] wich we dont have anyone named[redacted] working. when I was there other people were at the home remodeling I dont even know if she had permits for anything she did. she also called me an said that her husband tryed to make some changes and that he had make some mistakes. we always tried to be cooperative but she always kept changing her complaints but she never would let us take a look at them. How do I know if the other people that were working there did moving tile. we always tryed to be helpful but ms.[redacted] did not allow us to.Consumer Response I appreciate Mr. [redacted] response. However, his response refers his communication with me only AFTER I have filed this complaint. AFTER I filed the complaint he tried to be compliant. From April until time of filing he has not been. He DID have a worker named[redacted] in April when he started the work. [redacted] is the one that built our custom niches. [redacted] is the one that told him where the monies were that they took before completing the work. It is fine if he does not want to take care of this. If[redacted] does not settle here,[redacted] will have to settle in small claims court where I will not lose as I have all written documentation since April - where is his? I even uploaded my documentation and pictures here. The work my husband did was not in the same bathroom it was in the other bathroom which I was asking[redacted] to take a look at when he came but guess what - he NEVER came back. Always too busy too busy too busy. He NEVER was willing to uphold his warrant. He will pay here or in court. I don't mind. I have all the time to make this right. right is right and he was WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!Final Consumer Response Dear Revdex.com,Mr.[redacted] of Love Pool company came by our home today (10/12/2015) to take measurements of the MB closet, MBath, and MBshower and ceiling. The purpose of the measurements was to determine amount of reimbursement for the job Grout Works, LLC did to correct the grouting job Love Pool Company did. We discussed, we agreed and Mr. [redacted] reimbursed $190.00 which has resolved the matter. If no further action is taken with Love Pool company and [redacted] and [redacted], the Revdex.com case XXXXXXXX is considered closed.[redacted] is a good man. This incident is in no way a reflection of the total quality of work he can do. His company will move forward in a positive manner and prosper in a great way.

Tile company had to redo flooring twice. Tile is still crooked and sunken and I want it redone, just not by the original installer.I met with Love Pool company to discuss removal of old hardwood and replacement with tile. I purchased tile from a third party. Love Pool said they could install. However, when they did install there were several issues with the installation/service.For one, the company took an unreasonably long time between removal and installation. My family spent weeks around dust with unfinished floor in our common area. The company did nothing to try to cover or move our furniture or other household items. Later on they never cleaned up and we spent days cleaning up the dust. It was so bad we had to wash the walls and now are going to repaint.Another problem we had is that after the first (yes the first) tile installation we started to notice that many tiles were crooked and several were cracked. We told the installer and he refused to blame that on his labor but said that it was defective tile and that we should get a refund from the store. We spoke with the tile store and they had to contact the tile manufacturer to obtain a product refund. The manufacturer took a long time in assessing tile pieces we sent in. They said they had never seen this type of tile crack the way it did. In the meantime the tile installer removed all the defective tiles, which was the majority of them, and we spent another few weeks with an unfinished floor while we worked out things with the manufacturer. During this waiting period the tile installer said that in his experience the manufacturer should cover the replacement of tile and the labor to redo the flooring. I told the tile installer that I was dissatisfied with his work and asked him if really knew how to install this kind of tile because I found him incompetent and that I was considering firing him. I also found it suspicious that he had such knowledge about getting refunds for defective tile, wondered if he's messed up before/frequently. He assured me of the guarantee of his company's work and then he proceeded to make an estimate of how much it cost to remove the tile and to install the replacements. I allowed him to do the work once the tiles arrived. There is now noticeable defects in the work he did. Tiles are sinking and not properly grouted nor aligned. I'm highly dissatisfied with the work but there is no way I am going to hire him to do a bad job again. It took a long time for the manufacturer to get me a refund and they did not cover labor only tile replacement. When I spoke to the tile company about this they told me that the installer had been by because he wanted his money. I have spent more than the original estimated amount on tile, supplies, labor and have paid everything but the final installation. I refuse to pay for this. In fact, I have hired another professional tile company to assess the damage and create an estimate for what it would cost to redo the work a 3rd time. The contract was that I do the kitchen and living room. When I started putting the tile the first ti** I noticed that the tile is was defective. Mr.[redacted] purchased the tile on his own from [redacted] but since the tile ca** defective so we had to start over. Between that ti** Mr.[redacted] never payed ** for take out the tile that first ti** but I have a signed contract in which hs agrees to paying that fee. Mr.[redacted] got a refund from the tile company for his tile but they we're also going to refund him for labor cost it was in process and love pools company kept working to finish the job with the new material.when the job was completed Mr.[redacted] payed love pools $2425.00 but before I asked Mr.[redacted] to check the job an he agreed the job was completed. Mr.[redacted] had material left over an decided to use it for his bathroom. If Mr.[redacted] was not satisfied with my work he would of let ** know or not paid love pools company. Two weeks ago I [redacted] were waiting at [redacted] for a client an one of my client overheard Mr.[redacted] had received a check in the mail from the tile company. I found out that the company had also payed him for my labor which he never payed ** for he Mr.[redacted] told ** that he was not going to give ** a cent and denied about receiving a check with the labor cost but now that I ask Mr.[redacted] for my money is when he decides to make a complaint. This whole ti** I never received a call from him about him not being satisfied with the work. My client who heard Mr.[redacted] had received a check gave him a call an asked him why he didn't pay [redacted] his answer was ("your company is illegal an you can't do anything because your an illegal I'm going to get immigration on you") . I agree I did take longer to install the tile because Mr.[redacted] would order material that would take days/weeks to get here. Mr.[redacted] would also ask ** to take material from Raleigh to Sanford because Mr.[redacted] said he didn't want to damage his truck. He did call ** one day but he called when I was in church I answered only to hear him insulting saying "[redacted] so I ended the call. Mr.[redacted] when I was there Mr.[redacted] all had to talk about was him being in the military an he really stressed my employees I ended up in the hospital I have proof from the hospital from the stress of completing his job. I didn't not want to take him to court for the money he owes ** now that he is complaing I will I have proof. Witnesses, and receipts I'm letting you know what exactly happened. If Mr.[redacted] is dissatisfied we can have an Inspector at his ho** an I will be there to discuss the what his dissatisfaction but Mr.[redacted] threaten to [redacted] if Mr.[redacted] ever saw ** at his house. [redacted]MY CONTINUED DISSATISFACTION AND RESPONSE TO LOVE POOL:C. ASSESSMENT BY, NOT ONE, BUT TWO INSPECTORS/EXPERTS:I paid a registered, certified tiling company, [redacted]'s [redacted] Tile, LLC $150.00 to co** and look at Love Pools work on my floor. Their expert opinion was that the tile flooring done by Love Pool had too many irregularities from the installation to **rely replace so** tiles, as I had hoped. It would require entire demolition and reinstallation of the floor I got a written and signed estimate saying that it will cost $6500 to redo the floor. [redacted]'s expert also pointed out badly done vent cutout in the tile, and was the one who told ** about how the toilet in the bathroom was incorrectly removed and left hole in the wall that was leaking the floor board when the toilet flushes. In addition they told ** that it might not be a good idea to redo the floor because it may ruin the structural integrity of the floor and foundation of my house. Because of this I hired [redacted] Today. They were able to install wood flooring over the tile, rather than remove it. This was an additional expense. [redacted] told ** their professional opinion was that Love Pool's tiling was done incorrectly. Also, that, if not already, the floor's foundation is ruined. I sing a new contract with [redacted] Today for the amount of $6,072.00 to remodel my entire floor you can add this bill to the damage Lovepool did to my floor. It is ugly and tiles changing to a dark color, sinking, uneven, lack a grouted tiles and incorrect grout and inconsistent patterning in the grout thickness. The tiles [redacted] installed look worse than the first [redacted] tiles, that tell ** he misrepresent his abilities to install this type a tiles and took too long. [redacted] Today promises ** won't take not more than one day and the longest two days maximum not four or five weeks like Lovepool did it.IV. CONCLUSIONI am trying to exhaust my administrative solutions through the Revdex.com. I am making reasonable efforts to resolve my dissatisfaction with Love Pool amicably before burdening the justice system. Although, to protect myself, I did seek an attorney and based on all my receipts, estimates, and costs, it appears that Love Pool could be liable for all of it. I do not owe Love Pool anything for their final job. It is the basics of A**rican contract law that when you have the three ele**nts that form an agree**nt and there is a breach then the injured party may not have to pay for work and, in fact may seek damages: (1) an offer and acceptance, which we established at the ti** of the estimate and at the ti** I got oral promises about workmanship, and when I got a written, signed guarantee. (2) We agreed to certain terms. (3) We had consideration where Love Pool promised quality services in exchange for my money and we understood this bargain. Because they failed to give quality services, a breach proven by two expert witnesses, I need not pay them for the second re-do of my tile. I think there is a misunderstanding about so** things that were said. I did bring up Love Pool's ownership and hiring and immigration status, because I was starting to get suspicious about their qualifications as "professional" tile installers. Professional, **aning, that they are a legitimate LLC, with insurance, certifications, training, and the like. Mr. [redacted] and the workers, so** of whom were family **mbers, told ** that their heritage was of another country. Near the end of Love Pools' ti** on the job, I beca** worried they might be have forged of docu**nts regarding identities and qualifications as, I hear, can happen. I was also worried about my safety, as Mr. [redacted]ntioned criminal indict**nt of one of his family **mbers and once told ** "God Bless You" in a threatening manner. I didn't want to get into personal details, but Mr. [redacted] brought them up. Sure, I talk about being in the military over 23+ years and work as a civilian in aviation over 20 years. My own family tells ** this too, and I deal with it. It would be insane to let Love Pool near my property to do work again because I gave them too many chances and they ruined my floor. Also I had plenty evidences including ho** surveillances, phone device that is my device and recorded every phone call as the sa** way that device have all my banking account and more information that the files I had in my ho** and any other file after I monitored that device I found out Mr. [redacted] laid on January 13, 2015 I tried to tell Mr. [redacted] about how much damage he cost ** in my ho** He said "I'm Church" I told " I don't interested if you on Church but if you going to church you need to read Corinthians 14:40" and he hand off on **, well Corinthian 14:40 said since he said is Christian to ** on the past "Let all thing be done decently and in order" I don't think he is what he said he is in this one too. My Attorneys sent a letter to intent to recover the financial damages of my floor for a record he also got the invoice received from the manufacture and is wait less than what I spend on materials such Hardboards', screws, ce**nt, grout and others accessories he recom**nded to buy a lot extra items. Mr. [redacted] have to produce evidences on his laying business, first, wasn't the kitchen was the Living room and the dining room, second, I had a copy of the check for a pay**nt to take out the tiles first ti**, third, was not refund from the manufactured for a labor cost, fourth I don't know the na** of a lady Cook calling in behalf of Mr. [redacted] she said was a friend of Mr. [redacted] I told " Why is she getting involved in so**thing she don't even know what happens and Mr. [redacted] did a very poor and bad job in my ho** If she see what he did then maybe change her mind about his friends Mr. [redacted] and his crew, family **mbers and other strangers but I guess they close friends", after that call I call [redacted] County Sheriff Depart**nt to look the tiles and reported a female call na** Cook harass**nt **. Fifth, I never talk to Mr. [redacted] about Immigration he need to produce that evidence too. I never insulted God or him it is evidence in my possession of that call. He also knows in the State of North Carolina on cos**tic/ furnaces of the ho**s such tiles, paint ect.. not required inspections that why he pick that line of work and be able to pick his victims and more easy for him to get over in court and making easy way out of the court and custo**rs get tired of waiting for justice.
