Lovells Painting

The original contract is gone - it must have gotten tossed after talking to Charles L [redacted] and waiting for three weeks for him to show up so I figured I would have to hire another company to fix his mistakes.After reading some of the complaints people have had with this company, it sounds like this is work for this company as I called L***'s number (answering service) several times getting no response when finally he called me back stating he was at a family funeral - same excuse he used with another person on the complaint list.It is a shady company I will never use again but wanted to get the word out about them.Attached is the only proof I have that they were paid $1,for a lousy job with this non-honoring company.I have learned a valuable lesson to research each company from now on and not trust people

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted] [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, the consumer must give a reason why they are rejecting the responseIf the consumer does not provide a reason the complaint will be closed Answered]I again reject response from Lovell Painting because, L [redacted] is still being dishonest in his conversations He is not dealing with Mrs [redacted] because, as I stated in my original complaint, Mrs [redacted] is yrs old and computer illiterate, and blind in one eyeMrs [redacted] is now in rehab recovering from a broken hipI am her daughter and paid for all but the original dollars L [redacted] was pd for this job Therefore I, have been responding in her place Now, to answer his response,and why it is again rejected,and why I called him a con manL***, lied about having other jobs contracted in Red River, and why, when local businesses were contacted, they had never even spoken to L***He did not stay to over see job, but left his boys to lay ONE thin coat of pain on deck, never came back to check on work Paint began to peel first time rains began and old brown pain showed thru, proving deck was not sanded as promised and NO sealer had been put downAs for the trips back to Mrs [redacted] s house L [redacted] mentioned, there was ONE, that was for a boy to tighten some of the screws on roof that could be seen from ground that had not been tighten down properly Hopefully, that part of job was done correctly, and is the only reason we have not requested full refund of L [redacted] was pd but, for deck painting only L [redacted] gave Mrs [redacted] contact information, said his business was located in Albuquerque , when it is in Clovis, gave her business phone numbers that were disconnected, and he ONE cell number that she did have, he would not answer or return calls for several days when it became apparent paint was coming up The ONE time he did answer, he told her he would be up the following weekend and would fix EVERYTHING as "my work is guaranteed" He did not come back and refused to answer calls after I then found his business in Clovis thru License number and contacted them there Answering service passed messages on to him from myself and Mrs [redacted] for several days and still no response, no return calls That is when I contacted Revdex.com

this is Charles level with levels painting my boys went up to fix the complaint which consisted of about minutes to customer was irritable and angry so my son informed them they would just give them a refund rather than have a argument with them so that's what we're in the middle of doing customer also told me that Revdex.com told him that I have other complaints I didn't think that was right

I am rejecting this response because: a "touch up" will not dothe entire paint job was substandard Not to mention the local businesses in Red River Charles L*** said he had contracted jobs
with, one reason I trusted him to do work, was all fabricatedHe also gave contact information and refused to return any of the many attempts to contact him thru the Clovis officeI want nothing more to do with him, he and his crew are nothing but gypsy con menI still want part of the $he was pd refunded$refunded will resolve this complaint and pay for work to be redone properly.

I really don't know what's going on with the complaint because the work was done maybe it wasn't done exactly to her satisfaction but I will definitely respond to her and fix the complaint whatever it takes

This is Charles L*** with lovells painting I would like to speak to mrs*** because obviously this is not her that I am communicating with mrs*** would realize all the free work she had my year old son do three separate occasions and just because there's some peeling spots on a very big porch doesn't account for a refund I will come up there and fix whatever needs fixed but I'm not refunding the money especially when we done all kinds of stuff for free for a mrs*** obviously I'm not dealing with misses him ni dealing with someone else because I spoke with Misses *** three or four or five times on the phone I don't exactly remember very nice lady this is definitely not her so it misses *** would like to call my office on my cell phone she has both numbers I will be more than glad to talk to her but I'm not going to be insulted and called a gypsy con man when I done nothing wrong Ps we did not have a arrangement for me to wait months to be paid when we got finished doing the work as his *** told us that we had to wait to be paid and we said that's fine we're not worried about it and we never said one word about it she called us several times assuring us that it was taking a little bit longer and what she said and I told her it was no big deal

I am rejecting this response because: Mr. L[redacted] made the arrangements for payment , and he was pd as agreed .  Fact remains he misrepresented himself and his co. and the work was substandard.  Paint began bubbling and peeling within weeks , immediately  upon rain soaking deck. Once the true location of his company was determined to be in Clovis, NM and not Albuquerque as he claimed, Mr. L[redacted] refused to return phone calls, text messages and/or messages left with answering service at business in Clovis. Therefor, the term gypsy con man stands and his touch up offer is not acceptable.   Once again, a refund of $1200.00 to have entire deck, sanded , primed and repainted will resolve this issue.
