Lovely Nails Reviews (17)

04/04/2016Dear Revdex.com, We received a letter of Revdex.com about the complaint of [redacted] on April 04th - She said she was not relaxed because our nail salon environment, we have no idea to talk about this - She said the pedicure she got doesn't have enough steps for a basic pedicure; we guarantee our nail technicians always do lotion, massage, cut the dry skin for all customers We're wonder why she doesn't complaint with the manager at that time, if we now, we will refund or discount the money for her right away - She said the price of basic pedicure more expensive then other salons in the area; it's not true because all of nail salons in Mount Pocono & Stroudsburg are the same price, and we have the price list in front of the counter, if she thinks the price expensive she can go to another salon before she says she wants a pedicure - But whatever she said, if she's not happy with our service, she can bring the receipt of Lovely Nails for the pedicure she had and we will refund the full money for her ($for pedicure and $for tips)Best Regards, Thank you very much

This e-mail to respond to what ***, the owner of Spa Nails said in her statementShe is correct that [redacted] and I walked into her place of business on the 21st of October to receive a gel manicure and a regular pedicure that does cost $together, but that is the only statement that is accurate in her statementWhen we both arrived there was only [redacted] (owner) and [redacted] (employee) which were both working on other customersWe both were sat down on a pedicure chair with the water running as [redacted] finished w her current customer, took payment then began to work on my feet and then shortly after [redacted] began to work on my friend [redacted] as soon as she finished another customer getting her nails doneShortly after a male customer walked in to get a pedicure and then that's when [redacted] got on her work phone and called the male employee inI want to say it took about 20mins or so to finish my pedicure and as she stated during my pedicure she did not "hurt" or make me "bleed" which in fact I mentioned politely that she was making it painful on my big right toe as she was cutting to deep to get to my cuticlesIn the middle of my pedicure the male employee shows up and switches w [redacted] on [redacted] and that's when [redacted] begins to soak [redacted] 's hands into lukewarm soapy water at the pedicure stationWhen [redacted] finally "finishes" w/ the top clear coat she moves on over to the male customer that had been waiting almost 15mins and that's when I sat there whispering to [redacted] how unsatisfied I was with the poor job she did and how my toes were covered in nail polish [redacted] then comes w the same bowl of soapy lukewarm water to soak my nails in and literally just buffs the top of them and not cleaning the cuticles or shaping my nails or filing, nothing of what a manicure consist of, but as that poor job was being performed is when [redacted] told me to tell [redacted] to clean off that polishShe states that I asked her to "fix the smeared toe when in fact none of the actual nails were smudged or smears as she claims, there was just an over abundance of nail polish on my skin and couldn't believe that she did not notice thatShe comes and does a poor attempt of taking the nail polish off my skin that is around the nails of my toes and then goes back to the male customerAt that point is when I let [redacted] know I don't want the manicure after all either bc she not only left [redacted] 's hands full of cuticles, but mine as wellThey both insisted I get it done that she "wasn't finished" and I said more than a handful of times 'no I don't want it anymore, no it's okay, I'm fine thank you', etcI felt that she was just saying she "wasn't finished" because I also let her know that our hands were not even really touched and full of cuticlesThe male employee as she states that he had not finished [redacted] s manicure and all she needed was gel polish for it to be complete, which in fact he had never even touched [redacted] 's hands and literally took just 30mins on her feet as I sat there waitingWhat I was more upset and amazed by was the stunt that [redacted] pulled after we were getting ready to pay and leaveShe charges my credit card $60.50, for my services and my friend [redacted] 's services, which means she charged for a spa manicure/pedicure without gel is $Didn't ask of I was paying for both or just myselI don't know why she felt the right to think I was paying for [redacted] or even charge me for a manicure that wasn't doneShe should've only charged me the $for the pedicure that was horrible as is and not for a manicure that was never performed and to them also charge me for someone elseI never emplied that I would pay for my friendI did argue w her about the price and how how could she assume that I was paying for someone else, but I did not yell at her as she statesShe was the one arguing with me and I'm the paying customerI also can't believe she stated that because she did not make me "bleed" or "hurt" me and if I felt she did a poor job (which she did) then I can just go to another shopBelieve me I will never step a foot in her shop as she calls it ever againPlus the "job" she did was horrible and she doesn't deserve to be in business for her lack of customer service and work ethic.Best regards, [redacted] ** [redacted]

This place is terribleGot my fishThey were all sick within daysdied and another is about to die will be dead in he morningWe were told that we did not contact them right away so hey won't do anything for us all I want are fish to replace the ones that are dying as any local fish supplier would have at least a week guaranteeNone of he other fish in the tank have an issue but of course the company says it was our fault and our tank

5/17/He sent me 6-large Pinoy Blue Zebra angelfish sent CULLS DEFORM GILL PLATE JUNK Please learn from my mistake and buy from a legitimate BREEDER DO NOT EVER BUY from SOMETHINGSPHISHY!!! HE WILL RIP YOU OFF

I just received an order of 40 fish. There was supposed be 50 fish. 10 are missing. I emailed the owner about the mistake and was called a lair and dishonest. Basically told me if fish are missing from the order it was just to bad, he was not going to help me or refund any money. Then canceled my account with his company before I could even reply. He thinks he can just steal from people because it's an online business.

This e-mail to respond to what [redacted], the owner of Spa Nails said in her statement. She is correct that [redacted] and I walked into her place of business on the 21st of October to receive a gel manicure and a regular pedicure that does cost $40 together, but that is the only statement that is accurate in her statement. When we both arrived there was only [redacted] (owner) and [redacted] (employee) which were both working on other customers. We both were sat down on a pedicure chair with the water running as [redacted] finished w her current customer, took payment then began to work on my feet and then shortly after [redacted] began to work on my friend [redacted] as soon as she finished another customer getting her nails done. Shortly after a male customer walked in to get a pedicure and then that's when [redacted] got on her work phone and called the male employee in. I want to say it took about 20mins or so to finish my pedicure and as she stated during my pedicure she did not "hurt" or make me "bleed" which in fact I mentioned politely that she was making it painful on my big right toe as she was cutting to deep to get to my cuticles. In the middle of my pedicure the male employee shows up and switches w [redacted] on [redacted] and that's when [redacted] begins to soak [redacted]'s hands into lukewarm soapy water at the pedicure station. When [redacted] finally "finishes" w/ the top clear coat she moves on over to the male customer that had been waiting almost 15mins and that's when I sat there whispering to [redacted] how unsatisfied I was with the poor job she did and how my toes were covered in nail polish. [redacted] then comes w the same bowl of soapy lukewarm water to soak my nails in and literally just buffs the top of them and not cleaning the cuticles or shaping my nails or filing, nothing of what a manicure consist of, but as that poor job was being performed is when [redacted] told me to tell [redacted] to clean off that polish. She states that I asked her to "fix the smeared toe when in fact none of the actual nails were smudged or smears as she claims, there was just an over abundance of nail polish on my skin and couldn't believe that she did not notice that. She comes and does a poor attempt of taking the nail polish off my skin that is around the nails of my toes and then goes back to the male customer. At that point is when I let [redacted] know I don't want the manicure after all either bc she not only left [redacted]'s hands full of cuticles, but mine as well. They both insisted I get it done that she "wasn't finished" and I said more than a handful of times 'no I don't want it anymore, no it's okay, I'm fine thank you', etc. I felt that she was just saying she "wasn't finished" because I also let her know that our hands were not even really touched and full of cuticles. The male employee as she states that he had not finished [redacted]s manicure and all she needed was gel polish for it to be complete, which in fact he had never even touched [redacted]'s hands and literally took just 30mins on her feet as I sat there waiting. What I was more upset and amazed by was the stunt that [redacted] pulled after we were getting ready to pay and leave. She charges my credit card $60.50, for my services and my friend [redacted]'s services, which means she charged for a spa manicure/pedicure without gel is $30. Didn't ask of I was paying for both or just mysel. I don't know why she felt the right to think I was paying for [redacted] or even charge me for a manicure that wasn't done. She should've only charged me the $22 for the pedicure that was horrible as is and not for a manicure that was never performed and to them also charge me for someone else. I never emplied that I would pay for my friend. I did argue w her about the price and how how could she assume that I was paying for someone else, but I did not yell at her as she states. She was the one arguing with me and I'm the paying customer. I also can't believe she stated that because she did not make me "bleed" or "hurt" me and if I felt she did a poor job (which she did) then I can just go to another shop. Believe me I will never step a foot in her shop as she calls it ever again. Plus the "job" she did was horrible and she doesn't deserve to be in business for her lack of customer service and work ethic.Best regards,[redacted]

This is to respond to your letter (with Revdex.com ID of [redacted]) regarding Ms. [redacted]’s complaints about her recent interactions with Lovely Nails.   First of all, the customer complained that we charged her debit card twice for her visit on July 17, 2017. She came to our store on 7/21/2017 with...

the same complaint. On that day, we called our credit card processor, First Data, to inquire if we mistakenly charged her twice. First Data’s representative confirmed with me and the customer that there was only one withdraw of $30 from her bankcard (with #8112 as the last four digits), and Ms. [redacted] was not charged two times. First Data, per our request, also sent us a printout of the charges on that day from our store, so that we have written proof (Please see attachment). Please feel free to contact First Data directly if you need more information.   I also would like to take this opportunity to address Ms. [redacted]’s other concerns about our business. During her visit that morning, our nail filing machine at that station was not functioning properly, and her tech had to use another machine. This type of unexpected technical problems can sometimes happen, but we always have backup to finish our job in a timely manner for our clients.   About her statement that I didn’t know my tech’s name, I can only assume that the language barrier might have given her that impression (as English is not my first language). I know all of my employees by name, and they all have to submit their license, ID, W4 form, before starting to work for me.   Ms. [redacted] also stated that when she was trying to schedule for next appointment, I ignored her. I apologize if she felt that way. That morning it was very busy at the time, and I was the only one at the front desk, trying to handle phone calls and many customers checking out, signing in, paying, etc. We appreciate all our customers (without them there would be no jobs for us), and we are very happy with returning customers like Ms. [redacted]. But I did what I thought was the best option for everyone at the time, which was to suggest that she called in later to schedule, so that she didn’t have to wait long in line.   With the help of First Data, we can say with confidence that we did not charge Ms. [redacted] twice for the service. However, we feel sorry that Ms. [redacted] had a negative experience at our salon.  Please help us send this enclosed check of $30 to her, as we will regard the service on July 17 our complementary service to her.   Thank you for your time, and for giving us the opportunity to explain our situation.   Sincerely, MyDung D[redacted] - Lovely Nails

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response, because I did go to my bank to dispute 2nd charge, and did receive a refund from Lovely Nails.
Sincerely,

Worst experience ever, a very bad customer service.
I ordered six discus fish, but one arrived very sick and died on day later.
When I made the claim they indicated that they only cover DOA. No matter if a sick fish was shipped and subsequently die.
When I replied to them that I'll write a review on the page, they canceled my account, also deleting my order so I cannot make further claims. Very clever.
I do not recommend for anyone to make a purchase from this site. You will be wasting your money on fish that will end up dying in a few days.

We we made a purchase of four discus, two Corey's, six glow fish and two Rams for a new aquarium that had never contained another fish. All went went well. A couple weeks later we purchased three more discus. One stayed hidden for a week, wouldn't come out to eat and when it finally did appear it had white stringy feces. Our attempts of curing the fish had no positive results the fish is still alive a month later but barely. I contacted Ketith to inform him there was an issue and made it known I wasn't asking for him to to anything about the issue but he should know this in case he gets his fish from a distributor. I was informed of his degree in fish biology and how the fish was not sold to me with an issue and that it got sick on my watch. He also informed me that my account was closed. His responses are rude and I would never buy another fish there even if he was the only place to get one. Stay away from this business.

I refunded her $16 because I did not want to pay for the manicure for her and [redacted]. I refunded her $16 because I did not want a dissatisfied customer. At the time, I only charged her $44.50. Review: Dissatisfied with services rendered. [redacted] the owner was performing services on me while her employee [redacted] was performing services on my friend [redacted]. Between that time she would come back and fourth between [redacted] and I to soak our hands in lukewarm soapy water. Between jumping back and fourth from [redacted] and I she just buffed the top of our nails. I was very disappointed with the poor work that was done. I asked [redacted] to clean up all the nail polish that was all over my skin on my feet. When [redacted] went back to clean up the nail polish is when I let her know I did not want the manicure done after all due to the poor job she had done on my feet. Not only did she do a poor job, but still left s huge amount of polish on my skin after "removing it". Her employee [redacted] was already setting up to give me a manicure and I let her know that I did not want one after all. She insisted about 5x and that's when I let her know that I didn't want my nails done because of the poor job on my feet. I sat there for over thirty minutes waiting on [redacted] which was now being worked on by a different employee (don't know name) and keep in mind we both had services started at the exact time. [redacted] had also let them know that she no longer wanted her nails done either because she didn't want to keep me waiting and noticed her pedicure was also done poorly and the male employee proceeded to take his time. When I went to go pay, I noticed she charged me $60.50. I asked why she was charging me that amount she replied "$.50 for credit card/debit fee." I told her "No, ehy I am being charged the $60 when its only $22 for a pedicure?" [redacted] said she charged me for my friend's pedicure and manicure and the same charges for me. I then let her know why she assumed I was paying for my friend and then for a service that was never performed. She claimed that both our nails were cut and filed and thats why I was charged for both manicures. Not only did she not tell me how much she was going to charge, but....Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the amount of $60.50

Review: I have been having acrylic nails serviced at [redacted] by [redacted] for two years. This last year I started developing nail discolouration. When I told [redacted] about it she told me it was because the other nail women working there drilled into my nail and she was sorry. She told me not to worry and that my nails would grow out and I would ld be fine. Not so. They have gotten so bad I had her take them off last week. She charged me $10 to take off and $105 for a manicure. The problem is my nails are so bumpy and infected it makes no sense to do a manicure. When she saw the infection she should have told me to see a doctor. I went back and had her take the polish off and saw my physician because all of my nails hurt, have deep grooves, bumps and I cannot even wear polish. I have worn nail since I was 18 years old and have never had an infection. When I went back today to advise [redacted] she told me that it was from some where else and started making up things. I have spent good money at this salon. I would like to be reimbursed for services that were sold to me and they should not have been. I want [redacted] to pay for my medical treatment and physician visits. This should never happen to anyone.Desired Settlement: I am asking for a refund for over the last year [redacted] has destroyed my nails. I go every three weeks at $25 each visit. That is approximately 17 times per year or $425.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have worn nails for more than 30 years without ever contracting an infection until visiting this salon. [redacted] has been my nail technician over the last year whereby my infection began and has only gotten worse. I allowed [redacted] to service me for more than a year because she told me that the spots on the nail bed would grow out. I trusted her knowledge since she did nails for a living. I missed two appointments because of my husband being ill, it has nothing to do with my nail infection. I never visited any other salon but hers. In my last appointment with [redacted] I complained about the condition of my nails. For $25.00 [redacted] cut off my acrylic nails, drilled down, buffed and put a nude polish on them and advised me to see a doctor. My physician,[redacted] examined my nails and told me the infection do to poor hygiene in the salon, using the same nail files, drills, nail polish and cuticle oils on multiple customers. [redacted] prescribed medicine and recommended not having acrylic nails put on any longer. My nails are sore and hopefully are on the mend. I will be following up with [redacted].
