Response to [redacted] with [redacted] to the Revdex.com.
When [redacted] placed a partial deposit on a young black male labrador I was suspicious of him then. Why then?....he seemedlike he was hiding things in his mannerism. He scheduled for his wife and daughters to come out for a visit the...

following week. I was pleased this was scheduled as I needed to get some comfort in where one of my dogs was going. The following week the familydid come out for a visit and I found the wife and daughters very nice. But I noticed [redacted] held a distance from his familyand they didn't seem well connected and there was a line between the family. I decided I would think this over and scheduleanother visit with [redacted] before I would release the young male Labrador. My life and work got very busy with multiple client young dogs in for training and as well, I was going thru surgeries and treatments on a 9 yr old best friend and partner in lifedog for cancer. Time got away from me and then [redacted] scheduled with me a visit over Thanksgiving weekend. Perfect! I neededto check this out further. Before he got there I decided I would just be quiet and see what he might offer up with information. He never asked me how to do things with the dog in the fashion he was trained. He went into how he was going to train this dogto ride the quad out to his hunting blind. He was going to cause harm to him the way he was planning on training him and when I mentioned to him my concern with this, his response was 'it was his way or the highway'. Wow! When I expressed to him my concern about this I could see the posture of [redacted] back up and get defensive when I shared with him how we have learned howto train these wonderful creatures to handle tasks but doing it in a much kinder way so they don't get hurt. He did not care.He shared that when his family came out for my style of training when they would finish paying for the dog (the dog only had a deposit)and picking him up 2 weeks later that he would not join in. His wife, [redacted] would be 'into' this new training butagain his way is his way or the highway. I found all of this very disturbing. I am not into confrontations and knew that dayI was not going to relinquish one of MY dogs or anyone should allow a dog go into this man's hands. I found him to be abtrusive in his manner, gruff, acted like he was a man that always gets his way, very male macho but more importantly he shared in conversation that he was MEAN and way too tough to dogs. I knew that the deposit was already spent on caring for my ailing dog with cancer which had me in quite a predicament. But I knew that I needed to protect this dog from going to [redacted]. I decided I had no other choice but to cancel the dealand knowing with not having the deposit money right away placed me in a poor spot but I had no other choice as the dog wasnot going to a 'mean' guy. I wrote out a very kind and considerate letter that explained my decision for the cancellation to[redacted]'s email address. Feeling both her and the daughters would be upset about this decision. The phone calls, emails and text messages I received from [redacted] had her pleading with me and calling her husband vile names that I am not at libertyto put into copy here. I found as time went on the coconut does not fall too far from the tree. The calls back to me had [redacted]making demands and sounded like he is use to 'strong arming', much like many do when coming from other parts of the country or associated with the Mob. Where was I going to change my mind? I had already heard this man planning on being mean and tough to a dog, why would I change my mind? What breeder or trainer would?I did share with them that money was tight for me and might have to wait til the dog would resell. The dog did go to a new home. But no new money came in. A couple that had purchased in full a sibling to the other dog chose instead the dog that [redacted]had placed a deposit on. Complicated this situation further. I reached out to [redacted] to inform him this situation had transpired and was going to send him $500 (was sent certified) towards returning thebalance of the deposit. During the month of January my business income is very low and may rely on the sell of the other dog.It sounds as if [redacted] is not willing to wait for this and is going to seek a lawsuit. What negative energy! I stand by my decision in not allowing [redacted] with [redacted] (2nd deposit was from his company...wonderingif he was going to try to write off a dog off his business taxes...????) to have ownership of one of my dogs. In my opinion,he should not have one from anyone but I only have control in not allowing him to have one of my dogs that he could harm!!!!The plans for the balance of the deposit of $1500 to be returned during the month of January. I feel I am doing my absolute best inresolving this situation. Also the purchase price was not for $3800 and I have an agreement stating the purchase price was $4400 and their deposit down was only $2000.
