Staff is rude and incompetent with insurance
Before making the appointment, I made sure they take my Government Employee insurance. I went to the Pasadena office for a routine cleaning. They girl checking me out was new and being trained with my transaction. It was addressed at my checkout that both my insurance (health and dental) have to be billed/file a claim. 4 months later and I’m getting bills for amount due. I called repeatedly about the proper filing of my claim. No return calls. No emails. I finally get through to someone after another bill that is now adding a finance charge fee. After being “disconnected” twice, I got through to someone in the office that looked at my account. I was then told my insurance didn’t cover all the charges so I was expected to pay the remainder balance. I asked if they submitted claim to both insurance? I was told that they NEVER file a claim with medical, only dental and I needed to take up the problem with insurance company.
This office should not advertise that they Will properly file your claim when the staff obviously does not know the proper procedure to file for government employees. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB

Lovett Dental is such a horrible place from the front desk to the dentist. I have been 3 times and that is three times too many. The last visit on April 14, 2023 was my last. I had an appointment for over 6 months and had it moved twice due to the hygienist walking out prior to my appointment and another time I was told the dentist had an emergency. On April 14, the day finally came for my appointment at 12noon and I arrived at 11:45am. I was charged a $7 office visit fee, for some reason and due to the number of people in the waiting room, I asked if they were running late with appointments. I was told, “no” and took a seat. At 12:25, I went back to the front desk and asked how much longer it would be. I was then told it was another 30 minutes. Obviously I could have been updated before I had to go ascertain this information and informed the desk I must leave. To wait almost an hour after your appointment time and being told no wait, I was so very upset. I asked to be refunded, which still hasn’t been done and left. This was the Humble location and it has been issues all three times I have been. How can this place stay in business with such incompetent employees. They were rude and so misinformed each time. I called the corporate office on the 14th to express my issues and left all my information and still to this date April 22nd, have not even received a call back. Please, if anyone can assist me in contacting Lovett to get my refund and find out what is going on there, please do.

Bait and switch
Before choosing a dental office I went to several sites . I compared Lovett with other dentists. Honestly all the service's were the same. On your website I clicked on services your office offers. I clicked on Cosmetic Services, this took me to the area to click dentures. At that point it gave me several types of dentures that you have available. I chose to go with the immediate dentures. Immediate are put in as soon as your teeth are extracted. So on my first visit they did say that I needed a root canal and fillings. I was given my treatment plan which included my extractions my root canal and my immediate dentures. I also received almost a $2,800 bill out of pocket that I had to pay cash up front which I did. I want disability on a limited income this was a big hit for me but I knew this had to be done the sooner the better. So I came in had the extraction done seven extractions. A few days later I came in for my root canal fillings. The following day I came in and the woman got a impression of my teeth and were sending them to the dental laboratory. Again at no point did anyone tell me how long the process was.Why would the process be longer than days? According to your website offered; immediate dentures, and my paperwork said I purchased immediate dentures. Again the definition of immediate is within one to two days of your extractions again realizing that would be one or two days after my root canal. I went into the doctor's office about a week and a half after they had taken the impression of my mouth.I spoke to Priscilla and ask her to please please Rush this . This delay was
causing major problems l.I received a call for her on Tuesday that said your package from the lab is in , made me a appointment for Friday. My temp crown was replaced with the permanent crown. I said to her where are my dentures? She said "oh no you still have two more weeks to heal and then we can do your impressions" I said I'm confused because she put that goop in my mouth and sent it off to the lab and Priscilla said my package was in. In the intern because the fact that your website told me I was purchasing immediate dentures just like my paperwork and my bill I had planned to move on April 1st back to my hometown in Missouri. I lost my deposit on my apartment because of the situation. Out of pure I went back last Monday to talk to them to see what we could do to speed up this process. The regular office manager wasn't there. I spoketo a fill in person. I explained to her and walked her through the website. Her response was, she does not see how that is a service that we offer . Even considering my paperwork said I purchase these. I explained no one told me about the process and the time delay .I also said they already did an impression of my mouth. She said no we didn't .I said yes you did because that's how they got the crown. For some reason she thought that I would know that that wasn't for my dentures. I explained to her I'm not a dentist . I don't work in a dental office when she said she was making an impression what else was I to assume. She talked to the doctor and advised me to come back at 2:30 that day to get my impressions done.I have spent almost $10,000 lost a deposit on an apartment. I was not told the process. I have missed a person's funeral. Besides the lack of the appearance and having to go out like this in public. Thank God I insisted they see me early because it didn't heal properly they're still bone that dentist had to clip out and smooth out. If I had not been so insistent this would be dragged on even longer. This is ridiculous stop the bait and switch, get that off your website I need this done ASAP. I would have chose another dentist office that actually does immediate dentures. I chose you because you said you did that service. I spent a lot of money and lost the deposit on my apartment. No one explain the process and how long this takes. I went off my paperwork , bill and your website at the I purchased immediate dentures. I need resolution. I need to be sent to one of your dentist offices that actually do immediate dentures something has to be done to make me whole.

Poor Customer Service
I have been taking my daughter to the Pasadena TX Fairmont location for over 6 years, I really liked her dentist. At one point it got to the assistants taking over, I was not back there with my daughter at the time because of Covid they had us wait in our car. After treatment my daughter comes out crying, I asked her what happened? She was really almost I hysterics mind you my daughter was 12 at the time. They had pulled her mouth so bad while working on her that her lips and mouth were bleeding and chaffed. I called immediately they said it was impossible that she fell asleep. I took pictures and showed them the next time we went. They went on the defensive. After that Customer service was just as rude as the could be and every visit we waited between 30 min to 1 hour for our appts. Mind you my daughter got braces and we had already paid for everything so I said I will just wait and stick it out. Her visit to get her braces off was scheduled, my daughter had a test that day so I had to reschedule. They would not schedule me for another 2 months. I am livid by this point asked to speak to manager got hung up on, called back and they transferred me to another office. That office was not helpful. I could not go anywhere else because they had the $700.00 retainer we already paid for. So, we get her braces off 2 months later, by this time I am looking for other dentists. I take her to her last appt for Lovette because she needed an adjustment on her retainer and our new Dentist was not available yet, we walk in, Customer service seen us sign in, ignored us. 30 minutes later I ask why we hadn't been checked in, I was told by Customer Service " Oh I was in the back" which she wasn't and there were 2 other customer service that could have helped. One was laughing at my expense. So finally, daughter is checked in. 5 minutes to adjust, As leaving I told customer service how Rude they were and that I would never be back, again I got the one girl laughing at my expense again. Which by this point I am fuming. I paid over 10,000 to this company throughout the years for Phase1 and Phase2 of braces and 2 retainers. How dare you treat your loyal customers like that you should be ashamed of yourselves, and yes, I said explicits walking out the door along with you will never see me again.

WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS
Stay away from Lovett dental. The quality has been going downhill for several years. I have been a patient of Lovett dental for many years. Lovett dental is now sending me a bill they say I owe from a year ago, I have made 10 or more phone calls to try and straighten this out as I have insurance and pay any balance when I receive treatment. Most of the time the office doesn’t even pick up the phone when they do no manager is never available. I have left 5 messages over the last 3 weeks for a manager to return my call and still they have not. I have wasted several hours just trying to talk to someone there. I will be looking for a new dentist for me and my family.

My apologies for your misunderstandings. The billing office only processes claims but does not resolve any treatment plan and/or insurance questions. The current manager at the *** location has submitted a refund request for $and has been approved to process. Please

yes it has been mths since the last time I had work done at their office my complaint states I went to yhe new one march of not this monthlike I stated, I shldnt hv a mouth full of cavities still within mthsi also stated I dont want to come back there and definitely dont want them in my mouth again half doing stuffit would be stupid on my endplus, the last time I went there , it wasnt all that cleanagain, I dont want their services and I need to be compensatedim trying to get braces now and this is putting things on hold for me bc all my fillings have to be completed before I can get them

I understand your concerns. Please contact the office as they make the decisions on patient care and refunds. We only process the requests. The doctor and manager make those decisions.

The treatment plan that was presented and signed by our patients and what our doctor diagnoses and recommends is what we render. Not what insurance states is necessary. If you need the insurance to speak to the office I would suggest to do so. Otherwise, I do not nor the billing office makes decisions on what the doctor or office refunds.

My *** has been with this business for more than six years and I just have my service done there and the service was not good at allThey tell me to take my business to another place and that I will I have called the office and left serval messages for the *** to called me back but I have not heard from her more than a month So I have to filed a complaint with Revdex.com and that's what I get take my business to another dental Very disappointed to heard that

Mrs. [redacted] came in to the office as a new patient on 12/29/16. We did 3 crowns and a deep cleaning that day. She had left the office happy. She called me week later to tell me how unhappy she was with the services. How she is in pain, swollen and that her mouth was still numb. Also how she was in...

pain while getting the cleaning done and that the hygienist was rushing on her but she never informed the hygienist that she was in pain while getting the deep cleaning done. I have asked Mrs. [redacted] to come in the same day so we can take a look at her as an emergency but Mrs. [redacted] told me that she doesn’t have the privilege of taking off like I do. After apologizing for 20 minutes she just told me she will just come in in few weeks when her crowns come in to be delivered. On 01/23/17 Mrs. [redacted] came in for her crowns. Unfortunately they did not fit and had to be sent back to the lab for a remake. Mrs. [redacted] came to my office and we talked for 45 minutes. Again I was apologizing for the inconvenience and Mrs. [redacted] was repeating the same story of her experience with us from the first visit. I had told Mrs. [redacted] that I already spoke with my staff and that the hygienist was hurt and almost started to cry knowing that Mrs. [redacted] was in pain and she never told her. Also the hygienist didn’t finish on her till 7:30pm that day and we close at 6:00pm. I explained that to Mrs. [redacted] is she was rushing on her she would have finished her before 6pm but she stayed late to make sure she does a good job no matter on how long it takes. Also I thanked Mrs. [redacted] for letting me know about all her experience and that we never had this many complaints from one patient. That we always want to do better! She left thanking me and I told her we will rush the case for her crown to have them back ASAP! The net day her husband calls me and starts yelling at me over the phone. Telling me that I better do not interrupt him and listen to him what he hast to say. He starts of by saying how dare you never apologized to my wife after everything you guys did to her. Then I had to stop him and told him I am not sure what Mrs. [redacted] told you but I was apologizing to her yesterday for 45 minutes. Then he went to tell me he will contact the state board and sue us. I couldn’t even talk with him since he was yelling the whole time. I just hung up the phone. Five minutes late Mrs. [redacted] called with her husband on the phone. I told Mrs. [redacted] that I do not appreciate her husband calling me and yelling at me. Then he calmed down and wanted to hear my side of the story. While I was talking the whole time Mrs. [redacted] was trying to interrupt me. I told them how I do not appreciate people twisting my words and posting inaccurate information about me. She posted on Google twice and with you guys how I NEVER apologized. How I didn’t care that she was upset. How she should feel sorry that the hygienist was crying and how she is the first person to ever complain about us. I told him all of those were not true. I apologized 1000 of times. The hygienist almost cried and Mrs. [redacted] was the only person who had this many complains. Not that she is the only one ever complaining. That would be silly of me to say. No one is perfect but we do the best we can! The husband in between all this was telling Mrs. [redacted] to let me talk. Then I asked them if this is about money I have no problem reimbursing the money you guys paid. Mrs. [redacted] then got quite but the husband thanked me and told me NO we don’t want the money and that his wife will come in for her next visit. He just asked me if we could rush the cases to come in soon which I explained that to him too that I already did that and told Mrs. [redacted] already. Also she did tell me that she was in pain again this day and I told her to come in so we can take look at her and she did not want to. Also the husband told me that the reviews that they posted can be revised. To be honest I am not sure how else to help Mrs. [redacted].  I even told myself next time she comes in I should ask her to have our conversations recorded or I will not be alone with her in my office because God knows she will change things again on me. If she is in pain I have asked her multiple times to come in. I have apologized to her and offered her the refund for the services. Also God knows the whole office is praying that her crowns fit on her next visit. I am just not sure what else I can do! If you have a advice for me please call me and tell me because in my 16yrs of experience I just don’t know how to make Mrs. [redacted] happy. She told me she will not come back to us anymore which I told her I am sad to hear that but I understand and also that she needs to continue with her visits if not us at another dental office so she doesn't need to do a deep cleaning again.
