Low Book Sales & Leasing, Inc. Reviews (29)

After speaking with the General Manager of our Salt Lake location. This car was purchased by Low Book Sales with a clean title as well as a VERY clean Carfax and Autocheck that showed One owner and zero accidents. It was part of the reason why we purchased the car in the first place. The car was...

then sold to the customer in even better condition than we bought it. If there is any chance that the vehicle was in an accident before we purchased it, there would have been no way of us knowing as we rely on Carfax and Autocheck as well as passing all vehicles through Utah state safety and emissions. In doing our due diligence, we feel that Low Book Sales is not liable for the current condition of a used vehicle. Thank you.

Yes we have contacted them, the credit bureau needs you to either call them or you can fill this out http://www.housing-rights.org/PDF/forms/credit_report_dispute.pdf and mail it to them. Best of luck to you! :)

We apologize for your experience. Low Book Sales offers a 45 warranty for drivetrain issues. After that repairs become the buyers responsibility. It is assumed that you inspected the vehicle and found it acceptable prior to purchase. We do offer extended service contracts. If you purchased a...

service contract, you can take it to our authorized service providers in Las Vegas. We do not have a dealership in Las Vegas anymore, if you purchased a service contract, you can take it to Pep Boys in Las Vegas, they've taken over our service contract work. Best regards :)

I am rejecting this response because: I never said my mechanic doesn't know what was wrong with it. Less than 24 hours after purchasing this vehicle I had it to the mechanic for the "so called o2 sensors". My mechanic called and said he did a dry compression test, which showed there was no pressure in the engine valves. At that point I was told, hopefully it is just an engine valve problem (which is $2000, by the way). Otherwise if it isnt and there is engine damage, we will have to purchase a new engine.  I filed the complaint here with the Revdex.com. Within just a couple hours, David, the mechanic, called again and stated that after completing the wet compression test, we need an engine. He stated that wouldn't hold compression either. He quoted me $4250 + tax for the new motor. My husband told your salesman this that very same day. I've stated this several times to your employees and frankly I am tired of you trying to make this my fault, like I'm dishonest and trying to get money from you. All my husband and I have ever asked for is for your company to somehow some way make this situation right. Rather than even considering helping in anyway, we get a "sucks to suck" attitude from Low Book Sales.
Sincerely,

Hi, I’m sorry for your experience. So to get those inquiries removed, you would need to dispute it through the credit bureau. Low Book Sales doesn’t have the ability to remove it, so you would need to contact them, usually through a letter to them. And it needs to come from you, Low Book Sales can’t...

request something like this for you since it’s your information and your credit history. But just to advise you to never give out your social security number or really sensitive information if you don’t want your credit pulled. If you give out this kind of information, this is called implied consent. If someone asks for it, ask why they need it. Also, with a few inquiries doesn’t really affect your credit and doesn’t affect if you can get a loan or not, banks or any lender look at your past credit history. But if you contact the credit bureau, they should be able to take off those inquiries for you. J I hope you have a wonderful day!

Unfortunately, just like yourself, we have the same resources (carfax and autocheck) to see if a vehicle has been in an accident. Most of the time, if a vehicle has been in an accident, it cant take months to show up on these reports. I have personally had the same thing happen to me. As a company,...

we may not have paid the same price for the vehicle had it shown and accident on the carfax. We do sell many many cars that have had a small accident, but it will ALWAYS let the customer know, if we know. In fact, we are one of the few dealers that allows the CUSTOMER to view all carfaxes for free on our web site.

Dear Utah Revdex.com, we have responded to this complaint two different times, I am not sure if the response has not gone through or if this is an automated process that helps to ensure that we know every time that a customer has replied again. As we have stated before, to our knowledge and all of the knowledge that any car dealer has (carfax and autocheck and Utah TLR) aside from taking the vehicle apart, we would have had no way of knowing that any damage was done to this vehicle. If an accident is never reported in any way, there is no way of having knowledge of this. It is beyond any dealership's due diligence to cause damage to a vehicle to determine previous damage. Our liability lies on getting the car to pass safety and emissions. Beyond that, our company offers a 45 day free warranty to ensure the confidence of our customers, which we honor and have done so on many occasions.

Hi, I apologize for your experience. We just reviewed our documents and our service department only did safety inspection and emmissions on your vehicle and didn't touch the radiator or anything else. I've been told that you bought your vehicle through another dealership and you would need to check...

with them to see if they can do anything about your situation of why your vehicle was having issues. If you have any questions or need anything else, we would love to help you out, just give us a call at 877-LOW-BOOK

I am rejecting this response because: I was told differently. I was told by the salesperson and the finance guy that the amount from my previous loan was being rolled over into the new loan. Whatever the policy is, I reject it because I was lied to in order for them to get a sale.
Sincerely,
