Business response taken via phone on 7/13/by Revdex.com staff (**) 1) The technician quoted the consumer the cost $for a new unit but has no authority to quote cost to any consumerOnce the owner was made aware, the business was willing to provide unit for $The cost for a unit would be $- $ 2) Business indicated the consumer declined the adjusted offer 3) Consumer was refunded her $immediately 4) Business apologized and waved the Service call fee and repaired wiring on the thermostat at no cost to the consumer 5) The board in question had the incorrect fuseBusiness states a amp fused was placed in the board and the board required a different voltage 6) Business apologized for the mand states the consumer did not have to come out of pocket to cover any of their cost

The boiler was not installed according to information from manufacturer.  The inspector only noted that a new boiler was present.  The previous boiler was incorrectly installed and contractor was made aware of that.  He replaced what was there and used old controls and vents.  Several independent sources confirm need for additional/different controls and vents.  Boiler working better after modifications made.   Suggest third party with experience on old systems be consulted.

1) The technician quoted the consumer the cost $1675.00 for a new unit but has no authority to quote cost to any consumer. Once the owner was made aware, the business was willing to provide unit for $2000.00. The normal cost for a...

unit would be $2200.00 - $2400.00.
2) Business indicated the consumer declined the adjusted offer.
3) Consumer was refunded her $875.00 immediately.
4) Business apologized and waved the Service call fee and repaired wiring on the thermostat at no cost to the consumer.  5) The board in question had the incorrect fuse. Business states a 15 amp fused was placed in the board and the board required a different voltage.
6) Business apologized for the mix-up and states the consumer did not have to come out of pocket to cover any of their cost.
