At Low Price Auto Glass we use state of the art equipment and tools during any glass installationThe tape we use is a 3M D.O.T approved blue tape and is mandatory during the curing process until the urethane adheresWe
have been in business since and have never witnessed any issues with paint peeling due to 3M blue tape placed around the perimeter of the windshield bonding areaAll our technicians are fully trained and certified in auto glass installationWe use good judgement and industry standards to complete every job safelyWithout placing a tape around a windshield might result in glass shifting before the urethane curesIf a vehicle has an aftermarket paint job and a primer wasn't applied to the body of the vehicle prior to paint chances are the paint will not withstandHowever, our concern is mostly the customers safety, by placing a 3M tape around the windshield to eliminate any glass shifting during final stages of curing
