I have reviewed this transaction with all the managers at our Nissan store and with our Internet department managerMr*** did contact our internet department about a Nissan special lease on a particular Altima, he asked several times if the deal could be done on that particular Altima and was
assured it could, it was a Nissan special and we would have to set an appointment for him to go into the store, meet the Nissan manager and get the deal if that is what he wantedHe also inquired about a higher trim level than the advertised special and our internet associate, Olivia, gave him the amount the lease would be on the higher trim levelIt appeared that lease was not what Mr*** wanted so the deal went back to the advertised specialAt that time Mr*** mentioned to Olivia that he was currently in a Nissan lease, I believe one year into a three year leaseHe tried several times to get Olivia to state he could get out of his current lease and into the new lease without paying more than the $advertised specialOlivia does not appraise vehicles, only communicates between the customer and mangerShe knows that is not her expertise so she, on several occasions, told Mr*** that the Nissan manager would have to appraise his current vehicle and see what the lease buy out would beHe stilled tried to get her to commit but she explained he had to get the car appraisedWhen Mr*** did arrive at the dealership it was determined with would take approximately $to get the payment at the $price and buy out his lease almost years earlyNo one ever told him he could get out of his lease at no cost and into a new oneIf he does not get out of his current lease then yes, he can lease a new Altima for the $advertised special for as long as Nissan continues with this specialI hope this explains everything and you can contact me with any concerns or questions

We have had this same thing happen on other [redacted]'s and also feel [redacted] is dropping the ball on this repair. When we run into this situation, where the strut has corroded due to the road salt and brine being used on the highways, [redacted] just denies our request for assistance for the...
customer. What is happening is the springs [redacted] has installed on these cars are not able to hold up to the salt and brine used in many Northern States, as well as the Struts that surround the springs. Not everyone, but too many as far as we are concerned. In removing the Struts to get to the spring's the corrosion causes the threads to strip. We contacted [redacted] but they simply deny the request, we have had this with other customers and it is not how we would do it but we have to do what [redacted] tells us as it is a Recall and that puts 100% of the liability on [redacted].With that the case, I am going to go back to my [redacted] service rep and request reimbursement to [redacted], in the meantime I am authorizing our service department to reimburse her 50% of the cost, I will then try and get [redacted] to reimburse the other 50%. If they see we have contributed they are more likely to step up and do the right thing. I have also enclosed a statement from [redacted], the service manager involved with the repair order to help explain what happened.
