This company is providing my information regarding a re-finance inquiry that was completed 2 months ago.
I inquired about taking out a home equity line of credit 2 months ago I am still receiving calls after saying I was ok and no longer needed those services. I received a call today and the rep stated lower my bills sent them my inquiry that was done on 6/13/20 this in false and I want my information removed from their site.

Desired Outcome

I want all information removed and their partners no longer contact me.

Lower My Bills Response • Jul 13, 2020

Of course, we're sorry to hear that this consumer has had challenges in resolving their request. I would note a couple of things:

LowerMyBills is an online financial services marketing platform. Consumers interested in financial services providers visit the site, submit their self-selected information, and are subsequently matched to third party service providers who reach out to consumers to answer questions about specific products and services they may offer.

Once sent, LMB does not control or manage the contact, or receive compensation for the services that third party may render.

From the consumer's submission, it appears they were matched with providers approximately 2 months ago. And may have been re-contacted subsequently, by one or more third parties.
Again, LMB does not control the third party vendors, nor does it have control over their Do Not Call list processing.
Separately, it does not appear that the consumer visited the site, or used the link from the LMB emails, which would allow them to opt out or be placed on a de not call list.
The notes from the inquiry indicate that the consumer emailed [email protected]. *** was previously the CEO of Core Digital Media (LMB's parent company) but has not held that position for several years, and was not the customer care contact email address for the account. So, it would appear that we simply were not aware of Mr. Robinson's request.

As of receiving this message, we have updated our Do Not Call list, and added Mr. Robinson's email to that list, opting him out of future mailings or calls from LMB. And, though we do not control third party DNC lists, we've also added him to our "scrub list" which is provided to all affiliated marketing entities.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

Lower my bills is sharing a LIE as clickbait. Their ad states "Trump is on a roll: March 12, 2020 Trump ends another Obama Era Program." This is the only true statement in the ad. The rest of the ad is completely misleading and a lie. The program the ad refers to is the EMERGENCY MORTGAGE RELIEF PROGRAM for Veterans, started in 2012 - which helped veterans get and pay for mortgages starting in 2012. Trump ended this program in March 2020. The rest of the FALSE clickbait ad states, "If you owe less than [x] and haven't missed a mortgage payment in 6 months, use Congress's mortgage stimulus program for the middle class. You'll be shocked to see how much you can save."

Trump ended the program misleadingly referenced as "for the middle class" is this FALSE ad. America deserves watchdogs to monitor these liars. Trump is on a roll, and hopefully our veterans and middle class will make sure it is right out of the Oval Office.

We appreciate the opportunity to address these concerns. First, we would emphasize that nothing in our materials is intended to be an endorsement or political association of any kind. LMBMSI collects demographic and service preference information, for the purpose matching to interested consumers. Consumers are advised that submitting their information will result in being contacted by selected companies providing financial services in their area of interest.
LMBMSI is paid a flat marketing fee for its services.

With respect to the advertising in question:

The first example was "Trump On A Roll." The purpose of this headline is to reflect the current nature of White House activity in the financial markets. Through a variety of activities or messaging, by virtue of his office, there's no question that Trump's public statements (in addition to whatever private action takes place) has an effect on financial markets. One example of this has been the President using public pressure on the Federal Reserve to be especially aggressive in exercising its authority. The Federal Reserve has, in fact, taken several actions after the President started this public pressure. he Federal Reserve has reduced interest rates and announced the purchasing of large quantities of mortgage-backed securities . These actions have direct effects on mortgage rates .

As noted, LMBSI's service matches consumers interested in refinancing with lenders who may be able to assist them in that process, so the fluctuation of mortgage rates is directly related to interest in our product. LMBSI sees "Trump On a Roll" paired with copy about refinancing as highlighting that Trump's actions have had effects on the mortgage rates and therefore there may be increased interest on the part of the consumer for our product.

For the second headline, "Trump Ends Another Obama Era Program," LMBSI is referring to the ending of the HARP program in 2018. While the Trump administration chose not to extend HARP, which was designed to make refinancing possible for homeowners that were underwater or near-underwater on their loans, there have been subsequent programs that can still help homeowners. As our service is about connecting homeowners interested in refinancing with lenders that may be able to help, we see the programs administered by these government-sponsored enterprises as relevant for many consumers when considering using our matching service. Fortunately, we believe that there are still opportunities for Veterans and others to access valuable, low rates for refinances.

This is an absolutely disgusting company. I am being bombarded with their *** Trump related spam. Birds of a feather flock together. Lower my bills my ***. What a load of carp.

I tried to opt out using Ad Choices which should be ashamed for feeding this *** online. At A Choices I found that their opt out page had spam and I was instructed to get the *** out. There is simply no way that I can see to stop the spam.

I see that the State of Texas won a two million dollar lawsuit against these bs for fraudulent lead generation. Good for Texas. We need more state Attorney's Generals to follow suit and but them out of business and in chains and orange jumpsuits

I agree with Ken M a negative star would be better than what we are given as an option. I am thinking I need to get busy and file a complaint with the FTC or FCC who ever is responsible for monitoring this garbage.

We appreciate the opportunity to address this consumer's concerns. LMB is an online information site, that matches in-market consumers with interested financial service providers. The site references current government mortgage programs. From the materials here, it appears that this consumer is seeing online banner advertising (not spam in their email). If there are messages going to their email, there is an unsubscribe link in every email message, as well as a dedicated, automated unsubscribe process on the website.
Based on the reference to Ad Choices, I presume this consumer is trying to avoid seeing the banner advertising online. Our website opt-out function does not act as a banner ad suppressor. The online advertising LMB creates are distributed by ad platforms, which distribute across their site networks. LMB does not control the targeting or display of those specific ads for or to, specific consumers. We agree that the consumer's best option would be to use their browsers ad block settings, or third party services that also proactively block advertisements.
While we understand this consumer's frustration, we'd note that the State of Texas actually targeted an LMB advertiser for its misconduct, and LMB successfully addressed all of the Attorney General's concerns as to LMB's conduct, as part of the resolution process.
Again, we believe the most direct path to resolution for this consumer would be to seek additional online banner ad blocking. But, in an attempt to address any other direct marketing concerns, we've also added this consumer to our Global DNC list.

Aside from the constant spam, they started sending texts to my phone. I would never do business with these dodgy people under any circumstances. As "Constance R." said, zero stars should be an option with these people. If there were a negative-star option, I'd even choose that for these inconsiderate tactics.

Horrible company! Deceitful, liars! *** Reduces amount you owe..." OMG! I should be reviewing the Revdex.com for being so pathetic as to allow this bunch of criminals and liars to have an A+ ratingSomething obviously wrong here!! Total and complete Joke, Revdex.com and Lowermybills.com, perfect match"Obama says"you can trust the Revdex.com"HA!!!!!!!!!!!
They sell your info to anyone and everyoneLiars, scammers, worst of the worstConsumers beware! Just like *** lies and fabricates news, so do these guys and apparently the Revdex.com would rather take their money than be honest with consumersSad

Received unwanted and unsolicited texts.
Received unwanted and unsolicted texts via SMS. Have saved the texts. Have no business relationship nor have I ever.

Desired Outcome

Statement stating that I will never be contacted by this business by any communications. Removed forever from their internal lists.

my fault didn't read the super fine print before clicking the button. thought I could get an free refi estimate. wrong all I received was blood thirsty refi brokers calling, texting and emailing at all hours. do not give any info.

I am receiving spam emails even after unsubscribing from the list.
Fraudulent sales emails

Desired Outcome

Stop emailing me

Continues to send me spam email even after unsubscribing.
This business is inundating myself, and millions of others, with unwanted spam emails designed to get by email spam filters. I unsubscribed thru their link in an email, but the spam kept coming.

Desired Outcome

I want them to cease and desist sending me spam.

The very IDEA of stating trump is behind the "harp" program? #1 is a lie,and for the over 26% that did NOT vote for that mn it is a reason to have nothing to do with the company. A liar in the oval office on your resume?A very bad choice. A zero star should be an option. No I will NOT use their "find a lender" system. Can handle that all on my own. Did so with Loan Depot-Respectful and very helpful. Also got me a loan at 3% less than I was paying Despite what Chase(prior lender) had to say.

Do not submit any info to this website, They lie beyond belief! this company sold my info and Ive had nonstop calls. They tell you they don't sell your info, but thats exactly what they plan on doing. They need to be investigated and fined or criminal charges should be filed for fraud. the FTC needs to shut them down. This is a complete scam company.
